Chapter 5 The strong is respected 5
“Yemo,” Ye Zheng couldn’t contain his anger any longer and shouted, “You kill people with your mouth open and with your mouth shut. Do you still look like a lady from the General’s Mansion?”
“How should a daughter speak?”
“This bloodthirsty temperament is almost demonic.”
“Daddy,” Yemo smiled sweetly, “When I was very young, you all said that I was a trash who couldn’t cultivate. In a world where the strong are respected, there’s no place for trash. It’s this guard who lacked ability, insulted me, and threatened me. Do you think his death isn’t your own doing?”
Ye Zheng froze in place, evidently not expecting Ye Mo to say that.
Yes, when the result of the three-year-old test declared her as a loser, many people did say such things. It was why he sent her to the side branch.
He thought she would remain the same as before; after all, it had only been four years. Yet, he never expected her to develop such a bloodthirsty temperament in that time.
“Mo’er,” the second lady was also taken aback by Yemo’s words. She regained her senses and looked at Yemo, saying, “Regardless of the circumstances, you can’t casually take someone’s life.”
“Can’t casually take lives?” Ye Mo responded indifferently after a moment. “Yilin, Yiluo, bring out the gift I prepared.”
Upon hearing this, Yilin and Yiluo presented the heads they were holding.
When they tossed them forward, they unwrapped the bundles. The contents fell before them, revealing three heads.
“You…” Ye Zheng and the others were horrified when they saw the three heads. Even the timid maids screamed.
“What are you afraid of?” Ye Mo sighed and cast a glance at Yilin.
Seeing this, Yilin retrieved a letter from her pocket and approached Ye Zheng. “General, this is what our lady found on these individuals.”
Yezheng glanced at Yilin, took the envelope, extracted the letter, and read it.
The second lady, standing beside Yezheng, was alarmed when she saw the envelope. How could the envelope she gave to those killers be in Yemo’s possession? She looked down at the three heads and was somewhat astonished. Could it be that the individuals killed by Yemo’s companions were the ones she had hired?
There wasn’t much content in the letter, and Yezheng quickly read it before turning to the second lady. “What’s going on?”
“I don’t know, maybe someone else framed me.”
“Framed?” Yemo stood there, her aura-filled eyes exceedingly beautiful. She narrowed them while gazing at the second lady. “In the past four years, the collateral branch has never received a letter from the second lady. The letter, whether it contains the second lady’s handwriting, is something my father knows better than anyone else. I was sent away from the General’s Mansion when I was three years old, and Yiluo and Yilin have never seen the second lady’s handwriting. So who would want to frame you?”
“This…” The second lady clenched her fists. She had truly underestimated Yemo. She had thought Yemo was just a child, but now it seemed that she was much more clever than ordinary children.
Seeing the second lady’s silence, Yemo walked step by step closer until she stopped in front of her. “You just lectured me on not killing people casually, playing the role of a loving and caring mother. But why did you hire a killer to murder me?”
“I…” The second lady was taken aback by Ye Zheng’s gaze and didn’t know what to say.
“I’m tired,” Ye Mo rubbed her temples. “It’s best for the second lady to handle her own affairs. At least when I kill someone, I do it openly instead of being like the second lady, daring to act but not to admit it. People like you are not fit to teach me, understand?”
