Chapter 72: The Battle Of Resentment! Alex vs. Gaian!
Baea is a remote area closed off by the four governments, which is also the home of Gaian, The Lightning Titan. Being restricted greatly to the outside world, only Alex was the first person that had carefree intentions of stirring up trouble in the remote area - all he desired was fame.
As the soldiers continued to watch over the area to spectate Gaian and the outside gates, they heard a massive explosion that came from the southeast tower. "EXPLOSION!" everyone exclaimed, rushing over to the fallen tower to give the injured assistance. As the soldiers continued to scramble between the watchtowers, Alex had finally made his way in, creating a distraction for the guards before they even dared to go after him. "I finally made it!" he exclaimed, rushing towards a dark jail cell that stood in the middle of the field. As the carefree Alex proceeded his voyage to the center of the field, he caught the eye of multiple men that stood on the watchtowers, who all opened fire on him. As time itself froze due to the blue glow of Alex's eye, he used the manipulation of time to cut all the bullets that dared to stand in his way in half before continuing his cruise to the jail cell. Suddenly, a man on the northeast tower shot fire at him while he was dangerously close to the jail cell. Dodging it barely, it had landed on the wrong target.
Everyone froze. Suddenly, a red eye appeared behind the massive iron bars, followed by another blue eye. As all the soldiers were preparing to call their wives to tell them they were about to die, Alex landed a fatal blow on the pristine entity, giving it only a tickle. "YOU DUMBASS! YOU JUST WOKE GAIAN UP!" all the solders shouted in unison. Suddenly, the heartbeat of Gaian could be heard from across the field, creating massive wind currents all around. "COME OUT AND BATTLE ME, YOU DUMBASS!" Alex exclaimed in excitement. Suddenly, the prison cell blew open due to the massive roar Gaian had casted upon Baea, leaving the soldiers in a massive state of fear. As Gaian took its first glances around its new home, it roared once again, forcing Alex into a nearby wall. Emerging from the wall, Alex laughed with massive confidence. "Hah! That was only a scratch! I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE STRONG!" he exclaimed into the skies, charging at him once again. Suddenly, the ground bordering the outside world and Baea proceeded to levitate as if Gaian was controlling the entire perimeter and area. As Alex landed his hit, Gaian followed with a counter, landing his sassy opponent into a massive hole. At this point, it was already clear - Alex was no match for Gaian, and he should have just fled while he still could! But Alex didn't like to admit when he was wrong one bit. As a result, in an attempt to manipulate time once again, he hit the entity with lightning again.
But boy, he was left wide open for Gaian.
Breaking through the barriers of time itself, Gaian was able to scratch a deep wound on Alex's chest before flicking him back into the wall. It had been 3 minutes since this battle had begun yet Alex had already got to the bleeding phase. Using its tail, Gaian swept the entire area of Baea as Alex's determination turned into extreme fear of the pristine entity. Now, he was bleeding fatally. "If I don't get out of here, I could die with just one more hit! My blows mean nothing but a tickle to this entity!" he exclaimed, jumping down the massive floating islands Gaian had brought along. Suddenly, the entity jumped up in the air as its tail proceeded to spin in a helicopter motion. Alex, looking up at his opponent, scoffed. "SHIT! I'M GONNA DIE!" he exclaimed. In a matter of seconds, Alex had been bodyslammed by Gaian, leaving all of the bones in his body broken, also followed with the paralyzation effects Gaian had casted upon him. "SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!" Alex screamed. "I'm GOING TO DIE! PLEASE SPARE ME!"
But the entity didn't listen. It just continued it's onslaught. That was the exact moment when Alex had passed out, not knowing who or how he got away from his demise. Ever since that day, it had remained a mystery who his savior was in that awful time. As the news spread around, Alex had disappeared from civilization once again, known to have over exaggerated dignity in himself. Ever since that day, Alex has sat with the vacant power of Gaian in his chest. But the mystery stood unclear every day after he recovered - who the hell could've possibly taken on a pristine entity?
