The incident at the palace was not publicised. Almost three days had passed, but no one had heard about it, only rumours that remained rumours. There was also a ceremony and funeral, where the king expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims.
After that two more days passed and a richly decorated carriage pulled by four horses came for Eros and his friends. They were taken to the palace, where they were met by the same butler who had met them that evening and conducted them into a large hall. At the end of which stood a throne on which sat Tom E. Fiore, and to his right was his wife Yuki E. Fiore.
Once all four were within ten metres of them, they bowed.
- Let's not do this," the king said in a slightly tired voice, "I have invited you here today as guests, but also to thank you for your invaluable help, so you can ask for anything.
Eros thought about it, it is rare to get such a chance in life. As soon as the titan heard the king's words, the only thing that came to his mind was the throne, but he quickly put it out of his mind. It would be too good and even if he asked for it, he would simply be thrown out of the palace. So Eros began to think more rationally. A title? No, why would he need one? Since he had decided to become a guild master in the future, as well as possibly becoming one of the Ten Holy Mages, then some title would be of no use to him. Then money? But the titan immediately put that out of his mind as he was going to earn a lot in four years. Artefacts? He was tempted to ask for a powerful artefact and later to take it apart and study it, but he discarded that too. Which leaves only one thing left...
- Have you chosen?- Yes, - the titan answered confidently, - We choose knowledge, - this choice they all made together while they were still in the inn, as Eros had anticipated such a development.
- Knowledge, eh? - The king's opinion towards these four grew very high, after all, it was not the first time he gave someone such a choice and always, all of them chose only wealth, but Eros was the first to choose knowledge, - If so, I will give you access to my private collection, you can come anytime, the guards will let you through, - his wife looked at her husband with surprise, but decided to keep silent.
- We thank you, your majesty.
- Oh, don't mention it," he waved his hand and called one of the guards, "Norman, escort these men and show them where my library is.
They left the hall after a few more minutes' talk, and Dathon emerged from the shadows of the corner.
- My king, do you really trust them so much? - He asked uncertainly, "And you even give them access to your collection?!
- Calm down, Dathon," the king smiled softly, "I trust them.
- What if they're spies? We don't know exactly who they are! Or they might even try to kill you!
- I doubt it, they seem like good people to me," the queen said, stroking her husband's hand.
- Calm down," his tone was still calm, and a smile played on his lips, "If they wanted to harm me or my wife, nothing could save us.
Dathon froze like a thunderclap.
- Are they that strong? - He asked with a shudder.
- Kama told me that if they tried to kill us, his squad would not interfere, because their first priority is to protect the Palace and execute criminals sentenced to death, and the king can always be replaced," Tom said with a bitter smile, "And do you think that in such a long time in the place of the king, I will not be able to learn the essence of man?
- I understand you, my king, and I apologise for doubting you," the minister bowed deeply.
- You'd better bring me something to drink.
- My dear!
- Well, I have a little bit, just a little bit, - he looked pitifully at his wife.
- But we have two more appointments with Count Dar..." Dathon stammered.
- Reschedule them for tomorrow, and today I'm taking the day off.
- But... - but seeing the king's firm gaze and the queen's nod, he had no choice but to send the butler for the best wine.

As they walked through the palace and descended lower and lower, Eros asked the knight about the collection.
- His Majesty has the largest collection of books, many of them rare or ancient, hundreds of years old, I've only been there once and I was amazed at the number of books.
- Interesting," Eros' eyes lit up after hearing that.
They had already lost him, all three of them thought as Eros questioned the man about everything and the man reluctantly answered him.
After a few minutes, they reached a steel door flanked by two knights, and as soon as they saw the men coming towards them, they immediately grabbed their swords. But the knight accompanying them stepped forward and showed a small medallion. They immediately took their hands off their swords and nodded and opened the doors.
Once inside, they stood frozen, faced with dozens of wooden shelves eight metres high, overflowing with books on all sorts of subjects.
The king's library was not inferior to that of the Fairy Tail, for one won in quantity and the other in quality. And what Eros liked most of all was that each section was labelled and labelled in one direction, which was the order he lacked.
Lily went to the medical shelves, while Rick and Roni just wandered around looking for, in their words, "something interesting". Eros sat down at the table and began to cram....
Eros himself did not notice how evening came. He was brought out of his trance by Lily, who remained in the palace, while Rick and Rani had already left hours ago.
When he came to, the titan was confused to see several stacks of books around him.
- Apparently, he had been reading.
- The nickname 'book monster' really suits you," Lily said, smiling cheerfully.
Eros smiled slightly, took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes.
"Still, at 128x speed, reading for ten hours straight is a bit much."
- Come on, Rick and Rani left the library a long time ago, and you can still read tomorrow, no one's kicking us out of here.
- Okay, okay.

Eros had expected to be in the capital for a month at most, but it looked like they would have to stay longer. It had been a month already, and the titan hadn't even read half of the contents. There were too many books, though he had read everything on Artefacting and Runes. For the moment, he was studying the subject of "magic" in all aspects.
Also during this month he had learnt an interesting thing. The Queen was a mage, a spellcaster of star spirits. There was of course a lot of information on this magic in books, but learning it directly from a mage who uses it is much better.
- I thank you for your time," Eros said with a bow.- So what did you want to know from me, young man? - The Queen asked with a soft smile.
- I wanted you to tell me about the magic of star spirits.
She looked at Eros in surprise.
- Hmmm... Why would you want to do that? I can definitely tell that you are not a star spirit magician, and neither are your friends.
- Interesting, I want to know about all kinds of magic.
- I can, but wouldn't it be better to read it all in books? - she was surprised by his answer, but she decided to help.
- Books are one thing, but to hear from a caster of star spirits is another, and in books some topics are poorly disclosed, like the contract, in one it is described as a contract of master and servant, in another as an equilateral contract, and in the third one it is nonsense.
- I see what you mean," she nodded thoughtfully and continued, "Well, I think two hours is enough, I don't know that much about this magic, if you want to know more you should ask Leila Hartfilia, she is one of the strongest and maybe the strongest spellcaster of star spirits.
- There you go, good, but still...
- Yes, let's start with the basics then," she smiled and took out a golden key with a scale sign and a silver key, "Star Spirit Magic, basically the whole point is to summon Star Spirits by opening their gates with Star Spirit Keys. These keys are divided into two classes: Silver and Gold. Silver Keys summon ordinary Spirits, while Gold Keys summon Zodiac Spirits with great power.I think you've read that in the books," Eros nodded, "Okay, about the contract, there are no slaves or servants, it's a consensual contract. For example, if a spirit doesn't want to make a contract with you, you can't force it to do so, hypnosis or any other way of manipulating them won't help, so you have to talk to the spirit, find out what time it can be summoned and only then will the contract be made. Is that clear?
- Yes, it's all clear now," Eros nodded agreeably, after Yuki's explanation, everything became much clearer, "I have a question.
- М?
- About the fact that the spirit can not be subdued, that is, hypnotised, I read information in which it was written quite the opposite. They're just like regular people, they're subject to that kind of magic.
- Did I say that? - I said that it won't help to sign a contract, because once he is free of this magic he can easily break it, and the King of the Star Spirits won't accept such a contract.
- That's right... How can you break the contract?
- If the mage wants to, he can do it himself, or if the mage dies, the contract is cancelled automatically," she looked at the keys thoughtfully, "I've also heard that there are cases when the contract can be cancelled if the mage is imprisoned, but I can't be sure about that.
- I understand, then the next question is...
Eros sat like that for almost three hours, questioning the queen about everything, some of the questions even stumped her. But still, the titan learnt what he wanted to know and after thanking her, he returned to the inn where he continued to think about everything.
