Fated to My Enemy

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

For two days, Jian Wanrong brought this man to the Lian Family as a guest.

When Lian Xinying called him for the first time, her eyes and tone were filled with boundless hatred.

The first day he came over, Jian Wanrong simply introduced him to Lian Xinying as her brother, who had come to visit his relatives.

Lian Xinying had no interest in him, even though he was tall and handsome—what was the use? He was a relative of Jian Wanrong, and she couldn't bring herself to like him!

Lian Xinying's pride, Yan Ye had come to understand it over the past few days.

As a child, she never addressed her elders and looked down upon people with disdainful eyes. This child lacked manners.

"Repeat what you just said, and I'll immediately break your neck!" Yan Ye's gaze tightened, flames seemed to surge within his deep eyes.

It was the first time he had been called a 'kept man', and damn it, by a little girl at that!

If he could tolerate such an insult, he wouldn't be Yan Ye!

"Dare to do but not to admit it?!" Lian Xinying stared fiercely at the man much taller than herself, without a trace of fear.

Her mother died early, and now the father who treasured her the most was also gone. She had nothing left—what was there to fear?

"You two are the dirtiest people I have ever seen!" Lian Xinying's resentment exploded at that moment.

She had planned to wait for her father to come back before telling him everything, but it was too late now.

Lian Xinying's watery eyes and cherry-like small mouth, coupled with her aggressive demeanor, made her look like an infuriated little wildcat.

She had never been tamed, so she didn't know what fear was.

"You little girl, you have successfully ignited my anger!..."

He enunciated every word with a powerful evil aura, striking fear into her heart.

Lian Xinying instinctively retreated; his deep gaze was as if he wanted to devour her.

She turned and ran away.

Here, without her father, it was no longer her home.

She never considered Jian Wanrong her mother, so she would not acknowledge this man.

"Young Master Yan, why do you take it seriously with a little girl? She's just got that nasty temper, spoiled rotten by Lian Jie, so she thinks she can say anything. Now that Lian Jie is dead, I guess she will suffer a lot in the future... Also, Young Master Yan, is my task over now?" Jian Wanrong's attitude, just as Lian Xinying has described, was full of fawning.

"I gave you so much time, and you still haven't gotten what I want. What a waste!" Yan Ye's cold voice had not a trace of sympathy, "Even though Lian Jie is dead, his daughter might know where those things are."

"That's impossible... Lian Jie never discussed these matters with his daughter. He was very protective of her, fearing that if she knew too much, it would bring disaster upon herself..." Jian Wanrong cautiously replied.

Yan Ye's brows rose, and an aura of menace suddenly arose: "Are you questioning me? Are you tired of living?"

He didn't know what had gotten into him.

He knew clearly that Lian Xinying didn't have what he wanted, yet he was resolute in not letting her go.

One day, he would make that little wildcat cry for mercy.
