Chapter 4: CHAPTER 4- Do I know you?
Hinata continued his food, as Asahi introduced Haruki to his friends. Being the cheerful type, Haruki made friends with them and they were discussing like they long lost friends that just found eachother. Haruki was so engrossed in their discussion that he didn't notice the pair of green eyes that were staring intensely at him and almost bore a hole.
Asahi looked at Hinata, the longing in his eyes was undeniable. He wondered what happened to the once cheerful Hinata he had known back in America. Noticing the pair of eyes on him, Hinata raised his head up, and their eyes met.
* Do I know you?" Hinata asked, and Asahi looked away, embarrased.
" You guys were real close when you were little " Haruki chipped in quickly trying to cut the tension that has surfaced.
" I told you that was then, in the past, I have no memories of my past and I don't want to be reminded of them... Once again quit staring " Hinata said, and Haruki was secretly happy. That was the longest Hinata has said in the past eleven years since that happened. Asahi was confused with himself. He should have felt disappointed and sad ater what Hinata just said, but he was filled with hope. He knew he could make Hinata happy again.
" I wanna go" Hinata said, after few minutes.
" Is the food not to your liking?" Haruki asked him, he noticed that the food was just half touched.
" It's not" Hinata replied. ' Back to the short reply huh?' Haruki thought, smiling at his brother.
" I'm so sorry guys, but we have to leave now. Our team young master is feeling really stressed, we're gonna resume very soon so till then" Haruki said as he got up from the table.
" Sure I'll be waiting for you guys" Asahi said as he smiled at Hinata. The rest of the guys waved them goodbye, but only received Haruki's reply. Hinata couldn't care less.
After they left, Nagamori looked at Asahi, mischievously, " Man, you never told us you knew with the new students" he said.
" You didn't ask, and moreso I didn't think I'll run into them here" he replied, back to his usual self.
" Ahem....Takahara, I don't think I've ever seen you stare at something so intently. You were practically undressing Haruki with your eyes" Masayoshi said bursting into laughter.
" I don't know what you're talking about" Takahara replied coolly. " Asahi, how do you guys know eachother?" He asked.
Asahi kept quiet for a while, contemplating whether to reply or not. " That'll be for another day" he replies plainly and Nagamori chuckled.
IN THE MITSUAKI'S VILLA
" I'm going to the pool" Hinata said as he made his way to the back of the house. When he got there, he got rid of his clothes and went into the water. It could be said that the water is his safe place. As he floated on the
water, a little smile was formed on his face.
The smile was short-lived tho. Haruki jumped into the water, and a great deal of water splashed on the Hinata.
" I told you not to dive " Hinata shouted and Haruki realised what he had just done.
" I'm sorry lil bro, I'm sorry, hm?" He said whispering as he hugged Hinata. After calming down, Hinata slipped away from his embrace.
" When do you think you can start school," Haruki asked
" Anytime is fine, tomorrow too" he replied plainly.
" Do you think we should start tomorrow?" Haruki asked beaming with joy.
" Do whatever you want" Hinata replied and continued swimming.
THE NEXT DAY
" What the hell is wrong with you?" Haruki heard their mom scream. He immediately went to where the noise was coming from. He found Hinata at the front of their mom, his face evident with annoyance. When mother and son clashes, the aftermath is always terrifying.
" Mom, what happened here?" Haruki asked as he made his way to them.
" Why don't you ask your brother?" She said, her hands on her forehead as she sighed.
" I don't know what her problem with me is. I'm telling the driver to take me to school." Hinata said not giving Haruki the chance to talk.
