A series announcement reverberated in Kaiju's mind, causing his head to ache, abruptly waking up from his deep slumber. He opened his eyes, staring at the dark ceiling, not seeing the red, violet, blue, or bloody moon hanging on the grim sky. His mind was blank, but when fifteen seconds passed by, a jolting pain assaulted his mind as he finally recalled everything.

He instantly sat up, searching for Snow and Little Gorilla. Thankfully, Snow and Little Gorilla moaned in pain as they fell into the ragged floor, for they were sleeping atop Kaiju's chest. Kaiju pulled them to his embrace, sensing his connections with them, discerning they were in the perfect condition. Only that, they were in slumber for unknown reasons.

He slowly placed them on his lap while petting their head. While he was at it, Kaiju was lost in thought, remembering Qwanisha and Max. He smiled. They must have taken care of him, he thought. Suddenly, he recalled his interaction with the witch, daringly grabbing the apple out of her hand that was filled with various curses and eating it.

He could still remember the grin on his face when the witch stared at him in surprise. Although her malformed face felt revolted to gaze up close, Kaiju still felt a sense of satisfaction from it.

However, he suddenly shuddered when he recalled the torment he experienced after eating the apple. He should already be thankful for the Pain Tolerance as it decreased the amount of pain massively, even affecting the nightmare he was experiencing. Nevertheless, he almost died and that was something he must acknowledge.

His body continued to shiver, even his tips became colder. 

He mumbled, "I should avoid putting myself into jeopardy. The hell with Luck Points!"

Even then, when he thought of the Luck Points he received after risking his life, he changed his mind. Of course, he should always put his being above first.

As Kaiju took a last glance at Snow and Little Gorilla, checking if they were okay for he was about to fall into daze, he ordered the Gacha System to open his status.

Kaiju felt satisfied when he saw the Curse Resistance skill, but as he was about to expand it, obtaining information, he was startled to see his durability points.

The Gacha System did not announce it, but, perhaps, he was only in deep sleep when she announced it. Speaking of Gacha System, he finally noticed that she changed her pov to second one, as though it broke another barrier between their relationship.

He shook his head and finally returned to the matter at hand. He was elated to see the durability points increased, but it was still a bit far from the Awakener's attribute points. From what he recalled, 50 points above were the Awakener's attribute points. Qwanisha and Max should have been on that level, even the witch and other races were, too… even stronger.

"Can I be on their level for three months?" Kaiju was skeptical.

As far as he recalled, the pair of couples negotiated with the other races to extend their burg raid due to Kaiju's appearance. However, three months might be too short. After all, Kaiju was aware of how untalented he was.

However, he forgot one thing…

"I have the Gacha System." Kaiju's eyes sparkled.

Furthermore, his Luck Points was above ten thousand, which should suffice to increase his power on the same level of Qwanisha and Max in three months. Furthermore, he knew he would be under their guidance, which should suffice in obtaining mastery and increasing them. 

Kaiju now felt a bit confident.

Kaiju glanced at the Curse Resistance Skill and ordered the system to expand it.

Increases the user's comprehension of curses, enhancing their ability to sense, analyze, and manipulate cursed objects, environments, or energies. Unlocks the potential to wield curses as a form of magic if the user gains a curse-based skill.

Adaptive Resistance:

For every curse the user survives, their resistance to similar curses increases permanently. Cumulative resistance improves over time.

Hex Reflection:

When attacked with a curse, there is a 15% chance to reflect a portion of the curse's effect back at the caster. Reflection success depends on the caster's power relative to the user.

Converts absorbed curse energy into a temporary buff, enhancing physical or magical capabilities by 20% for 30 seconds.

Provides immunity to curse-based mind control, fear, or despair effects, ensuring mental clarity and fortitude even under extreme magical duress.}

Kaiju was flabbergasted by the long wall of text. He didn't expect it. It was then he recalled he actually never expanded the descriptions of other passive skills too, such as Pain Tolerance and Poison Resistance. 

He only assumed their skill should only be limited to their name, and given that it was already self-explanatory, he didn't bother. If it was not because he felt bored that caused him to expand the Curse Resistance Skill, he wouldn't have known the Gacha System provided a description so comprehensive.

He fell into deep thought. "So, that's why teacher said that it was more difficult to obtain a passive skill than an active one? Especially attribute related passive skills?"
