Gacha Player: My Luck is Multiplied 10x

Chapter 30: Passive Attribute Skills!

Kaiju recalled his battle with the corrupted serpent before. There were indeed some cases he could not explain, such as the sudden adrenaline rush, seemingly one main factor why he managed to come out as a winner in the duel. There were many other factors too that he neglected since he was so focused on the duel.

Kaiju's heart raced, closing his eyes, trying to calm himself down. When he opened them again, he ordered the system to close the expanded Curse Resistance Skill and opened the Pain Tolerance skill instead.

As expected, he was not disappointed.

{Pain Tolerance (Rare Grade)

Description:

This skill represents an extraordinary capacity to endure physical and mental pain, allowing the user to function effectively even under intense suffering. It is a skill born of repeated exposure to agony, pushing the user's body and mind to transcend normal limits. Pain becomes a weapon of resilience, sharpening the user's focus and unleashing hidden potential.

Special Effects:

Pain Suppression:

Reduces the intensity of pain experienced by the user by 70%, allowing them to fight or act without being hindered by physical or emotional distress.

Adrenal Surge:

When the user receives significant damage, a burst of adrenaline increases physical strength, stamina, and reflexes by 15% for 20 seconds. (Cooldown: 1 minute)

Focused Endurance:

Enhances concentration and precision when enduring prolonged pain. Provides a 25% boost to critical hit rates or spell effectiveness while under 50% HP.

Mind Over Matter:

Provides immunity to pain-based debuffs such as Stun, Flinch, or Paralysis. This effect ensures uninterrupted movement and combat ability even during relentless onslaughts.

Resilient Body:

Gradually increases the user's natural resistance to damage over time while taking sustained hits. Each consecutive hit amplifies physical or magical resistance by 3% (max stack: 20, reset after 10 seconds without damage).

Threshold Breaker:

Unlocks hidden potential when pain reaches its peak. Activates a temporary buff, increasing all stats by 10% and boosting regeneration for 30 seconds. (Triggers once per combat or extreme event.)}

Kaiju's heart raced, not expecting the many special effects by the Pain Tolerance. There were some that even he could not recall if it activated, such as Threshold Breaker, Resilient Body, Adrenaline Surge, and even Focused Endurance. Perhaps, it activated while he was being tormented by the nightmare of the witch. Now that he was aware of it, he was now confident in battling against monsters and beasts-alike.

However, it was only the Pain Tolerance. While he was shivering from the excitement, he ordered the Gacha System to close the expanded Pain Tolerance skill and opened the Poison Immunity skill.

{Poison Immunity (Rare Grade)

Description:

A skill that represents absolute mastery over the body's ability to resist and nullify the effects of toxins, venoms, and poisons. This skill not only grants complete immunity to all poison-based effects but also provides unique benefits, allowing the user to manipulate poison-related elements and utilize them to their advantage.

Special Effects:

Complete Poison Resistance:

Nullifies all poison-based damage, status effects, and debuffs, including paralysis, nausea, or damage over time caused by toxic substances.

Toxic Adaptation:

Absorbs and neutralizes ambient or ingested toxins to boost the user's stamina regeneration by 15%. Prolonged exposure to poison increases resistance to similar environmental effects.

Venom Absorption:

Grants the ability to absorb venomous attacks and convert them into minor health restoration (up to 5% of the user's max HP per attack).

Poison Affinity:

Increases the effectiveness and potency of poison-based attacks or spells by 25%. This allows the user to synergize poison-based abilities with greater lethality.

Contaminate Aura:

Passive ability to exude an aura of mild toxicity. Enemies in a 5-meter radius experience reduced stamina regeneration and minor poison buildup over time. (Effect increases with skill rank.)

Adaptive Immunity:

Grants resistance to other forms of corruption or damage-over-time effects related to diseases, infections, or curses. Poison Immunity is treated as a gateway to broader biological invulnerability.}

What Kaiju liked the most was the amount, the percentage, of the effects, making it as specific as possible. He noticed that some skills didn't possess such descriptions, and Kaiju only speculated that it was because the percentage could not be gauge as it has many factors, especially the effectiveness of the skill's effects.

Now that Kaiju had the comprehensive information about the three passive skills he possessed, he was filled with satisfaction. Now, he has more knowledge whenever he was about to battle.

When time passed, after deciding not to leave yet, not until Little Gorilla and Snow had awakened, Kaiju even took some time shadow boxing the corrupted serpent he battled earlier with new information he possessed at hand.

However, he soon realized he wouldn't even be able to defeat the serpent earlier. After all, Pain Tolerance wasn't really effective against poison-like existence due to the Poison Immunity. If Poison Immunity could immune him against poison, at most, the serpent's bite could only sting some pain but it wouldn't be enough to activate some special effects of the Pain Tolerance, such as the Threshold Breaker.

Kaiju could only lament the fact he really needed Snow's aid to take the corrupted serpent by surprise. Kaiju closed his eyes and exhaled a distressing air.

'It couldn't be helped, I'm still weak. I lacked foundations as I only relied on the Gacha System. I need to learn more aside from just obtaining skills through draws.'

Kaiju finally realized what he was missing and acknowledged his future plans.

After making up his mind, he focused on Snow and Little Gorilla. He checked their condition once again and believed they were already in the perfect condition to be awakened. Hence, he patted their head lightly simultaneously, while communicating with them through telepathy, aiming to wake them up.

Snow moaned and Little Gorilla soon followed.

When their eyes were completely opened, they stared at Kaiju, their master, in a daze. Kaiju smiled at them and said, "Good morning, Snow and Little Gorilla."

However, Snow's reaction was not pleasant. Her eyes became teary and leapt at Kaiju's shoulder, rubbing her face against Kaiju's cheeks. Kaiju was taken aback, falling into daze, until he was awakened by her sobbing.

He soon understood why Snow was weeping. He smiled bitterly.

That was why he had already decided his future plans.

That was to learn from an expert and avoid similar circumstances again…
