Ugh, a chapter with lots of System message, but I started to reduce them. This one is the last...

A month later...

Horyu stood atop the Hokage mountain, his gaze sweeping over the village below. The past month had been grueling but rewarding. He had pushed himself to the limits, and now, he was about to reap the rewards of his hard work. He smirked as he accessed the system, reviewing the quest completion notifications:

Spoiler

The two quests he hadn't completed didn't bother him much. Forgoing the challenge of resisting Itachi's Tsukuyomi was a logical decision, considering the risks. And the outcome of Hinata's and Shino's matches was yet to be determined, so the completion of that quest remained a possibility.

Horyu closed the quest interface, opened the two new Jutsu he mastered for the quest;

Horyu stood atop the Hokage mountain, a satisfied smirk playing on his lips as he reveled in the fruits of his strenuous training. The past month had been a relentless pursuit of power, and he felt the results coursing through his veins. He glanced at his newly acquired jutsu with a sense of accomplishment. "Fire Style: Inferno Shield" was adaptations of techniques of fictions from Earth,.

He chuckled to himself, "Elemental Shield, not too shabby for a month's work. Hot as hell, but manageable." His chakra control had always been a strong suit, and now it played a pivotal role in mastering this new jutsu. The shield, a vortex of searing flames, formed a formidable barrier against physical attacks, a testament to his growing prowess.

Turning his focus inward, Horyu opened the system interface to assess his improvements. The screen flickered before him, displaying the fruits of his labor. His stats had seen significant growth, a result of his relentless training regimen. His chakra, strength, and agility had all spiked, evidence of the grueling hours he had spent honing his body and mind.

He smirked, "Not bad." He then jumped from the mountain, flowing Chakra to the soles of his feet. After free falling for some time, he kicked the Fourth Hokage's face on the mountain carving, propelling himself towards the Hokage Building. From there, jumping from roof to roof, he moved toward the Arena. Today was the day of the final stage of the Chunin Exam.

Arriving at the arena, Horyu noted the presence of his peers. As the contestants gathered, Horyu observed them. There was Sasuke, brooding as always, Kurotsuchi with her unwavering confidence, and Gaara, an enigma with his calm yet intense demeanor. Shino and Hinata came near him oozing with confidence gained through hellish training they all endured last month.  And the others also carried a sense of readiness, each having grown in their own way during the past month.

Hinata greeted Horyu with a warm smile as he arrived at the arena. "You came at least. Where were you?" she asked. Horyu returned the smile, his gaze briefly sweeping over the gathered ninjas. "Lost in thought," he replied simply, nodding at Shino, who stood nearby with a stoic expression.

As the contestants prepared, Hayate made his entrance, looking healthier than in the preliminaries. Horyu had kept an eye on him over the month, ensuring the Chunin proctor would not be killed by a snake, although Orochimaru was not present this time around. He respected Hayate, not for any heroic reason but for his ability to pull off the hot ANBU with purple hair. Horyu smirked to himself, thinking, 'Respect where it's due.'

As the bustling arena prepared for the final stage of the Chunin Exam, Shisui Uchiha rose to welcome the esteemed guests gracing the event. The presence of the Kages and Daimyos from the five nations was a testament to the significance of this day. Shisui, ever the tactician, saw this as an opportunity to showcase Konoha's might and the prowess of the Uchiha clan.

Tsuchikage Ōnoki's eyes continued to scan the arena, his irritation evident. "Hokage Uchiha, your village always puts on quite the show," he remarked, the disdain in his voice unmistakable. He was well aware that Konoha would likely excel in today's events, but there was little they could do to change that. They couldn't bring the entire village to a foreign land for the exams, and although some of their Genin were present, their numbers were still relatively low.

Shisui, with his characteristic diplomatic smile, replied, "Thank you, Tsuchikage-sama. We aim to showcase the strength and potential of our future shinobi. They are, after all, the ones who will shape our world." His words carried a clear message: Konoha's Genin represented the village's strength, and their excellence today reinforced that point. Other Kage leaders couldn't help but curse him under their breath for his tricky response.

Raikage A joined the conversation, his intense gaze not hiding his displeasure. "Quite the welcome indeed," he grumbled, "but remember, it's quality over quantity."

Shisui nodded in agreement, understanding the underlying message. "Indeed, Raikage-sama. But isn't it better to have both quality and quantity?"

Mizukage Yagura maintained a serene expression that contrasted with his formidable nature. "I'm curious to see the talents of your Uchiha, Hokage-sama," he said, his eyes briefly locking onto Shisui's. "After all, in the past, they were rarely seen in the mist." His words carried a clear insult – the Uchiha were historically sent to fight against the Mist Village in the Shinobi Wars, and Mist techniques were notorious for countering the Sharingan. Yagura was essentially saying that the Uchiha's precious eyes had been worthless in the past.

Shisui remained composed, his smile unwavering. "I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised, Mizukage-sama. Our shinobi are versatile and capable of excelling in any terrain."

Kazekage Rasa simply nodded in acknowledgment, his eyes betraying nothing of his thoughts.

Lord Mifune of the Land of Samurai, sensing the tension, decided to intervene. "Let's welcome the Daimyos and take our seats," he observed keenly, hoping to defuse the situation. The leaders of the great shinobi villages and the Land of Samurai would have to find common ground to ensure the success of the Chunin Exams.

The focus shifted to the grandstand where the five Daimyos took their seats amidst respectful applause. Their arrival added a layer of gravitas to the event, each representing the political strength of their respective nations. The Kages and Lord Mifune welcomed them with formal greetings, their exchanges laced with diplomatic niceties and veiled assessments.
