GIVE YOU MY HEART [BL]

Chapter 64: WATCHING ANIME

TO THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCH DETECTIVE CONAN MOVIE 27, THIS CHAPTER MAY CONTAIN A LIL BIT SPOILER OF THE MOVIE. SORRY :')

-Haruka POV-

"You've been acting a bit weird today, you know?" Levi's words surprised me.

"What are you talking about?" I replied. Right. I know I've been acting weird today, but I don't want to admit it. So I asked him instead.

"Well, it's just that you've been treating me a lot better today. Not to mention, watching a movie together." He said it with a flat tone, but that hit me hard. What? Is that a problem if I'm treating him better? Isn't this what he wanted?

"Hah. Really? Forget it then. Just pretend I never said that. Let's just eat, and you can leave after that." I said that and stood up from the couch, ready to leave the theatre. I'm really pissed right now. How could he even say that to me?

"Let's do that. Let's watch the movie together. I'm sorry if what I said hurt your feelings. Well, I'm just not used to it yet. I'm sorry, okay? I'm not going to pretend I didn't hear that, so let's watch the movie together, okay?" He said that while grabbing my hand, stopping me from leaving. This guy, he really knows how to make people's hearts stop beating, did he?

"I'll forgive you this time. Let go of my arm. The pizza should arrive by now. We're going to eat them while watching the movie." I replied, avoiding looking at him.

"Alright. Let's go." He said and then dragged me out of the theatre with him. He didn't let go of my arm.

DINGDONG!

The bell rang as we arrived in the living room.

"Ah, that must be the delivery. Should I open the door or would you like to take it by yourself?" He asked me, letting go of my arm.

"Just tell him to leave it there. I don't want to show my face, and you shouldn't either." I said that, and he should understand what I meant. I don't want people to know where I live.

"Alright. I'll go tell him then." He said so and made his way towards the intercom, telling the delivery man to leave the pizza in front of the door. A few moments later, he opened the door to take the pizza.

"Oh, you've ordered popcorn too. So you actually have been wanting to ask me to watch the movie since earlier then." He said that while looking at me with a smirk. This jerk.

"It's not like that. I thought about watching it alone, but since you're already here, why not?" I said that, avoiding his eyes. I'm lying, of course.

"Alright, I'm going to believe that then. I don't want to ruin the mood." Still with his cheeky smirk, he replied.

"Ugh. The movie is going to start soon, so let's get going. Bring the pizza and the popcorn, will you?" I said that and then grabbed the drinks with me. I walk to the theatre first, leaving him behind, but of course he catches up to me.

"So, what movie are we going to watch? An anime, right?" He inquired as he walked beside me.

"It's Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram." I told him the title.

"Detective Conan? Hmm, never heard of that before. Still, I'm excited because it's my first anime and, of course, because I'm going to watch it with you." He said that with a smile. Again, my heart stopped beating for a moment. From now on, I should be careful whenever I'm with him.

"Stop talking nonsense. Let's just sit first. The advertisement should end soon." I said that, taking the seat in front. I put the drinks on the table, and the same goes to Levi. He put the popcorn and pizza on the table and took the seat beside me.

"It's starting." Levi said that while taking one slice of the pizza to eat.

"Yeah. Don't disturb me. I'm going to focus." I warned him.

"Alright, alright. I'm going to focus too." He said that with a chuckle. Soon after that, the movie started.

-1 hour 30 minutes later-

The movie's going to end soon. Now, it's the final part.

"It's pretty. Wait, it's the same view as your grandfather's painting." Levi suddenly spoke. Right. In this movie, it represents Hakodate's Goryokaku Fort.

"You're right. It's called Hakodate's Goryokaku Fort. It's beautiful, right? But there's an even more beautiful view from Mount Hakodate. You heard it right? The view is worth more than a million dollars and a perfect place to confess to your lover." Crap. What am I saying right now?

"Really? Then I'm going to confess to you again there." Again with his no-warning remarks.

"I told you to stop talking nonsense. Be quiet. I'm going to focus on the movie." I said that firmly despite my face getting red because I'm embarrassed. I'm lucky it's dark right now. 20 minutes later, the movie's done, and I was shocked.

"Majikayo (seriously)?" I mumbled.

"You know, you used to talk in Japanese when you're shocked or fed up. What is it this time?" Levi suddenly spoke. He heard me.

"It's just that there's a lot of unexpected things in this movie, unlike the previous. Everything is unexpected until the end. You know, everyone believes Kaito's father has already died, but he actually doesn't. Not to mention, his father is Shinichi's father's twin. That's the most unexpected. Really." I told him as we walked out of the theatre room.

"Well, I don't quite understand because I never watched it before. But still, the movie's not bad. I like its cinematography. Everything is so beautiful, especially the scenery." He replied with a smile.

"Then you should watch the other movies too." I suggested.

"I guess you're right. Now I might have something to do during my free time then. I'll tell you when I watch one." He said that with a chuckle. If others look at him right now, I'm definitely sure people will say he's prettier than me with that smile.

"Haruka, why aren't you saying anything?" Levi's voice snapped me out. We're in the living room already.

"Ah, are you leaving now?" I asked out of nowhere.

"You really want me to leave that bad, huh?" He replied.

"No. That's not what I mean. It's just… I'm just asking." I said that awkwardly.

"Hahaha. I'm just kidding. Right, I need to leave now. I wanted to stay for dinner, but my grandfather said he wanted to see me. Well, it's probably because he just wanted me to visit and stay the night there, actually. My driver is already waiting." He explained.

"Then you should leave now. You shouldn't keep your grandfather waiting." I said that to him.

"I really don't want to leave yet, haha. Well, thank you for today, Haruka. I really enjoyed everything we did today. I'm leaving. See you at work." He said that with a smile. This smile again.

"Right. I'll see you at work." I walked him to the door, and he left. Why does it feel so sad to watch him leave?

//SKIP//

The weekend passed by just like that, and it's Monday again. Another day, another day of working. Sitting on the chair, at my office table, organising and checking all the documents, and of course checking Levi's schedule every morning. That's just how I live my life during work. Come to think of it, I didn't see Levi yet today. He's rarely late for work unless there's something he needs to settle. He didn't tell me anything either. He has a meeting at 9. Did something happen? I keep thinking.

"What are you thinking deeply?" A voice spoke made me startle.

"Director, you're here. I thought something happened because you're a bit late." I said it out of nowhere.

"Are you perhaps worried about me?" He asked me with a smirk. I know I shouldn't have asked that.

"I'm not. It's because you have a meeting at 9 and you didn't tell me anything, that's why." I said that firmly.

"Ah, really? I just had something I needed to do with Lucas." He replied.

"Why? Did he cause any problems? Speaking of that, how is it going with the Pampelonne Beach Project?" I asked.

"No, he didn't do anything wrong. Regarding that, I'm going to announce it at the meeting later. Shall we leave for the meeting now, Mr. Auclair?" He asked while looking at me. I look at the clock at the wall. It's already 8:45 am. We should head to the meeting room now.

"You're right, Director. Let's go." I replied, and we left to go to the meeting room together.

"Ah, everyone is here. Let's start the meeting then." Levi said as soon as we arrived and then took his seat. Lucas is here too.

"Oh, right. Before we start the meeting, I have something to announce regarding the staff that will be involved in Pampelonne Beach Resort Grand Opening later. As you all know, I've been the one leading this project since the project manager left the company. It's my own idea anyway, of course I would be the one to take the lead. Well, starting today, this project will be led by the general manager, Lucas. So if there's anything you want to say or ask about the project, you can contact Lucas directly. And please follow everything he says from now on." Levi said that calmly. Everyone was shocked, and so am I. Of course, this project was proposed by Levi himself and is now waiting only for the final touch. What is he thinking?

"Is there any objection?" Levi asked when everyone didn't say anything. Of course they wouldn't dare to say anything, even if they wanted to. They are all afraid of Levi Ackerman. Except for his own father, I never see anyone defy him.

"No, sir. We'll do our best to work with General Manager Lucas." One of the staff said.

"Good then. Oh, and one more thing. Mr. Auclair, you'll be helping Lucas in this project for the time being too." He said that while looking at me. What? He even involved me in this also.

"I'll do my best, Director." I replied.

"Okay good. Let's start our meeting then. Lucas will be presenting today." Levi said that, and Lucas stood up from his seat. With that, the meeting started.

-1 hour Later-

The meeting finished in just one hour. Well, we need to finish it early because Levi got another meeting elsewhere later. We're now walking towards our office.

"Director, are you sure about letting Lucas manage everything? It's just that you've been working on this project from the moment it's started until the resort will be finished soon later." I spoke once we arrived at the office.

"Don't worry. I have a keen eye for reading people, and Lucas will be doing just fine in managing this. I don't really care whether I'm the one who proposed it or not. I told you already, right? I'm not interested in becoming the heir, so this doesn't matter to me. Plus, I still have a lot of things to do, so giving one of my tasks to Lucas isn't that bad, hahaha." He said that while laughing. He really is serious about not becoming the heir.

"Ugh. I can't believe you, and you're giving me a headache already. Why involve me in this also?" I asked him with a glare.

"That's because I believe only you can make him progress even faster. Speaking of that, Lucas will be here soon to discuss the project with you, and I'll be leaving for another meeting. This week is going to be extremely hectic for me. I got a full-day meeting schedule for today and tomorrow. I'm the one who's getting a headache, you know." He said it with a sigh, pinching his head.

"That's your job as the CEO and Managing Director, so stop complaining." I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. You're right. Well, since I'm not going to see you all day today, why don't we grab dinner together later?" He said that with a smirk.

"I'm too busy to even have dinner with you, sir. I'm sorry I have to decline your offer." I said so, looking away from him.

"Ah, really? Since you're too busy, you should finish your work by today then. You're not allowed to leave the office before 6 today. This is an order from your boss. Then I'll pick you up for dinner later." He said that with a mischievous smile of his.

"What are you saying? My working hours are only from 8 to 5. You dont't…"

KNOCK! KNOCK!

A knock on the door stopped me from talking. It's Lucas.

"I'm sorry. Did I disturb the two of you? I was told to come here now." Lucas said that politely.

"Ah, Lucas, you're here. No, no. You arrived at the perfect time. Come in. Mr. Auclair, I'll leave Lucas to you. I'll see you later after work." With that, Levi left the office. That jerk.

"Have a seat, Lucas." I said that as soon as Levi was outside of the side. Lucas took a seat in front of me at my office table. I also took a seat without wasting any time.

"You seem to get along better with the Director."
