Chapter 140: Advanced Hunter!

The sandy beach tilted sharply, causing several hunters to stumble and fall unexpectedly.

Giovani's eyes widened in horror as he stared at the ocean, unable to speak for a moment.

From the surface of the sea, a massive snake-like head emerged, its size comparable to a ship.

The shaking of the island grew even more violent.

Around the island, four enormous elephant-like legs extended from beneath the ground and planted firmly on the seabed.

Jade Rabbit gasped in shock:

"This atoll island… it's actually a giant turtle!"

Giovani cursed under his breath.

The sheer size of this monstrous turtle was enough to inspire despair.

He stood up, quickly sent a message on his phone, and then shouted with all his might toward a direction on the island:

"Take the bound creatures and head that way! The boats are waiting to pick us up there!"

The hunters, hearing his instructions, began carrying, dragging, and hauling the restrained creatures, running frantically after Giovani.

"Something's not right!"

"Is that… fog?"

Suddenly, thick mist enveloped the island, making the hunters hesitate, unsure of their next move.

Giovani turned to Levi, the Scalpel, and asked nervously:

"What's going on? Is it another powerful creature?"

Levi's eyes showed a strange expression as he nodded slightly.

Jade Rabbit plopped down on the ground, muttering to herself:

"It's over, it's over… We're doomed. It's all your fault. We're all going to die."

Levi shook his head as he looked toward the beach where they had just been.

"It's not a creature… it's a human."

Giovani followed Levi's gaze in astonishment.

"A human? This has to be an A-rank, right?"

Beyond the beach, on the sea, a small boat approached the monstrous turtle slowly.

Onboard stood a young man.

He wore a pristine white suit and a mask with a sinister smiling face.

It was The Hungry Ghost, Yamato.

To the monstrous turtle, humans were natural enemies—or at least this human was.

The monstrous turtle opened its enormous maw, lunging toward Yamato with intent to devour him.

Yamato's hand flashed with a dagger as he slashed toward the turtle.

Chilling Nether Frost Energy condensed into a blade of energy and struck the monstrous turtle's head.

"Slash!"

"Roar!"

The monstrous turtle let out a blood-curdling scream.

It was as if a massive balloon filled with blood had been punctured; blood rained down like a storm.

Yamato stood beneath the rain of blood, his once-pristine white suit now stained.

He licked some of the monster's blood off his hand and grimaced in disgust.

"Tasteless!"

Irritated by the unpalatable blood and flesh, Yamato grew enraged.

His dagger danced, releasing waves of chilling Nether Frost Energy, leaving more and more bloodied gashes on the turtle's head, staining the ocean red.

The monstrous turtle let out a series of bone-chilling screams, its cries terrifying all who heard them.

Giovani swallowed hard.

"W-who commands this man? How is he so fierce?!"

Jade Rabbit's mouth hung open in shock.

"This is insane!"

Levi murmured under his breath:

"So… this is an advanced hunter?"

Advanced Hunter?!

The words stunned everyone into silence.

The scene was eerily quiet; no one spoke for a long moment.

The hunters had previously thought intermediate hunters were already extraordinarily strong.

Now, they realized that advanced hunters were on an entirely different level.

The man in the smiling mask and white suit hardly seemed human.

Suddenly, the hunters were filled with newfound confidence and pride in the Mercenary Guild.

They had imagined the guild was powerful, but not to this extent.

Their limited strength had restricted their imagination.

None of the hunters wanted to run anymore; they didn't want to miss this spectacular fight.

The atoll island—no, the monstrous turtle—shook violently again.

On its back, trees collided and toppled to the ground.

Enraged by Yamato's relentless attacks, the turtle extended one of its massive legs and swung it toward him with tremendous force.

The massive elephant-like foot of the monstrous turtle loomed overhead, blocking out the sky like a dark cloud.

The thick mist surrounding the atoll island turned partially purple, wrapping around the turtle's colossal leg.

Pain flashed in the turtle's pupils.

It lost its balance, toppling halfway into the ocean, causing another quake on its back.

The hunters were shaken so badly that they stumbled and staggered.

They looked into the distance and saw a familiar figure.

From within the dense fog, a woman emerged.

Her curvaceous figure was clad in leather, her high-heeled black boots clicking as she walked.

She wore a dog-head mask, exuding an aura of dominance that was queenly in every sense.

"It's Lady Werewolf!"

The hunters gasped in astonishment.

Many novice hunters had only heard of the guild leader's legend but had never seen her.

To them, Lady Werewolf was already a supreme existence within the Mercenary Guild.

"An advanced hunter showing up is one thing, but even Lady Werewolf is here?"

"Could this monster really be so strong that Lady Werewolf had to come herself?"

"You're missing the point. This place is too close to South Sea City. The security bureau will detect this battle soon. Lady Werewolf is likely here to wrap things up quickly before the guild is exposed."

The hunters whispered among themselves, and the last comment gained unanimous agreement.

Their fear of the monstrous turtle vanished instantly.

Alexander's decision to send both Yamato and Yvette to the atoll islands was simple.

He preferred to minimize risks and unforeseen complications.

The atoll islands were a nest for demonic creatures, and no one could predict what might emerge from it.

If things went wrong, not only would the living specimens prepared for Richard Dawkins' lab fail to return, but there would also be heavy losses among the hunters.

Alexander's precautions proved correct.

This monstrous turtle was an A-rank creature.

While Yamato was also A-rank, dealing with a creature of such enormous size was still challenging.

The mist over the island began to gather around the turtle's head.

Some hunters could no longer see the turtle's head, shrouded as it was in thick fog.

The fog gradually turned purple and thickened, becoming a viscous, toxic haze.

The once-white mist had transformed into a venomous cloud.

The poison began corroding the turtle's head.

"Roar!!"

The monstrous turtle let out an ear-piercing scream that tore through the sky.

A seabird flying across the ocean froze mid-air, its body stiffening as it plummeted into the sea.

The turtle thrashed, trying to disperse the toxic cloud around its head.

But its feet couldn't reach its head.

No matter how it shook its head, the poisonous mist clung stubbornly, like a second skin.

The turtle shoved its head into the ocean, but the poison followed, inescapable.

This toxic mist was impervious to water or fire.

The venom infiltrated the turtle's body through its nostrils, ears, and mouth, wreaking havoc on its internal organs.

Finally, a massive splash echoed as the giant fell.

The atoll island reverted to being just an island, now slowly sinking into the ocean.

The sea turned crimson with blood.

"It's over… just like that?"

"This is the power of Lady Werewolf?"

The hunters vividly remembered the panic when the monstrous turtle first awoke.

"Leader! We're approaching the atoll island!"

The battle at the atoll islands had ended, just as several security vessels arrived.

Onboard one of the vessels, Tie Lin pointed toward the island and calmly issued an order:

"Prepare the heavy artillery! Fire at full strength!"
