God Level Farmer In Another World

Chapter 149: Chapter 149: The Demon King

"Everyone, go rest," Alexander instructed before dragging the succubus Yuna into the courtyard like a dead dog.

The old beggar beast king lay motionless on the ground, resembling a corpse. If not for the faint rise and fall of his chest, Jang Hyun would have thought he was already dead.

"Master!" Jang Hyun rushed over anxiously, supporting his master. He took a few wild strawberries from his pouch, crushed them into juice, and carefully dripped it into the old beggar's mouth.

Only then did some color return to the old beggar's face.

"Is my grand-disciple alright?"

The first thing the old beggar said upon waking was to ask about his youngest disciple.

Jang Hyun glanced outside the courtyard, where Brian and Lily stood at the entrance, staring into the yard in confusion.

Alexander's rules were strict: apart from a select few hunters and caretakers, no one was allowed to step foot in this courtyard—not even soul-reaping servants.

But seeing the old beggar's longing gaze toward his grand-disciple, Alexander's heart softened.

Alexander gave the old beggar a sidelong glance. "No one stays in the courtyard tonight."

The old beggar froze. "Then I…"

Alexander added, "Be back before dawn."

The old beggar's eyes lit up with joy. He quickly scrambled to his feet and bowed deeply to Alexander.

"Thank you, President!"

He didn't have much time left, having been severely wounded by Yuna the succubus and nearing the end of his lifespan. Being able to spend time with his grand-disciple in his final days was a wish come true.

In the courtyard, under the pale moonlight, Alexander was digging a hole in the vegetable patch with a hoe.

The succubus Yuna was bound tightly by the Sumeru vine. No matter how much she struggled, she couldn't break free.

She couldn't understand why this ordinary-looking vine could restrain her.

What she didn't know was that the Sumeru vine possessed abilities akin to a conceptual god's power. Originating from a certain game world, it could only be unlocked by a high-level grass element awakener.

Realizing her struggles were futile, Yuna stopped and asked, "Sir, what are you planning to do to me?"

Alexander wiped the sweat from his brow. "I'm thinking of cutting you in half—burying one half and using the other for research."

Despite being a seasoned expert, Alexander still broke a sweat digging in the yard, looking more like a farmer than anything else.

Yuna's beautiful eyes widened in terror. How could someone say such horrifying things in the most casual tone?

She forced a smile. "You must be joking, right?"

As she spoke, she instinctively wriggled her voluptuous body in a desperate attempt to escape.

Alexander tossed the hoe aside and inspected the deep pit with satisfaction. He turned back to Yuna and said, "I originally planned to bury you or send you off for research."

"Then I thought, since you're quite spiritual, chopping off your limbs might be useful to me."

"You're a demon; you won't die. I can send the rest of your body to the lab."

He began looking around for a suitable tool.

Using the Heavenly Flame of Creation for dismemberment wouldn't work. At his current seventh-level spiritual proficiency, his control over the flame wasn't precise enough. A small mistake could waste such excellent material.

Unfortunately, there wasn't even a hatchet in the yard, so Alexander reluctantly picked up the hoe again.

Yuna panicked, screaming, "Are you insane? You can use my body for anything you want! Why such cruelty?!"

Alexander approached her with the hoe.

Yuna was indeed beautiful and seductive.

But Alexander wasn't the kind to think with his lower body.

To him, no matter how tempting, such luxury was less valuable than a devil fruit.

Yuna, now backed against a wall, kicked her high heels frantically, pleading, "Don't do this to me! Let me live—I can give you spiritual energy!"

Alexander paused, waiting for her to elaborate.

Yuna quickly added, "Sir, I can absorb spiritual energy from others and transfer it to you. All it takes is having sex with me."

"In your human terms, that's what you call it, right? Having sex! If you agree, I'll scour the world to steal spiritual energy for you."

Alexander looked disappointed.

He didn't trust Yuna's words.

Realizing his doubt, Yuna shouted, "I'm not lying! I've been using this method to provide spiritual energy to a major figure among the demons!"

Alexander raised the hoe, aiming it at her shapely thigh.

Yuna's eyes widened in terror, and she screamed, "You can't do this! If I die, that major figure won't let you off!"

When her threats didn't work, she seemed to make a critical decision.

Biting the tip of her tongue, she spat a mouthful of blood into the air.

The blood formed an intricate rune, triggering some kind of rule-bound condition.

In an instant, a terrifying pressure descended.

Alexander's expression turned cautious as he lifted his head to observe the sky.

Above the courtyard, a dense black cloud gathered, blocking out the moonlight.

The entire courtyard plunged into darkness.

A pair of crimson eyes emerged from the black cloud.

It was difficult to describe these eyes—rageful? Malevolent?

No words could capture the pure evil radiating from them.

A terrifying pressure swept across the old district, concentrating most intensely on the courtyard.

Alexander felt a pang of fear—a primal terror in the face of a higher-order lifeform.

The Heavenly Flame of Creation within him immediately began to take effect.

It calmed his mind like a soothing spring, smoothing away the fear clawing at his heart.

Now in control of himself, Alexander analyzed the situation. He quickly realized the presence in the sky was no human—it was a demon.

A terrifying one.

Seeing hope for survival, the succubus Yuna knelt toward the black cloud, crying out, "Lord Demon Overlord! Save me!"

She was one of the Seven Wicked Disciples, a concubine of the Demon King known as "The Demon Overlord."

Every year, she offered the spiritual energy she had plundered to the Demon Overlord, making herself valuable enough to seek his protection.

Summoning the Demon Overlord was a costly life-saving measure, but one she deemed necessary now.

A cold, emotionless voice echoed from the black cloud:

"Human, are you not afraid of me?"

There was a hint of curiosity in the tone.

Alexander's gaze turned icy, his aura filled with killing intent.

The word "fear" had not crossed his mind since arriving in this world. But now, it had.

And he felt furious about it—a deep sense of humiliation.

The voice from the sky continued in its inhuman tone:

"Human, you've dared to capture my concubine. How bold!"

Without responding, Alexander raised his hoe and swung it at Yuna again.

Yuna trembled, her voice breaking with fear:

"Lord Demon Overlord! I will serve you more devotedly than ever—please, save me!"

She couldn't understand. In the presence of the Demon Overlord, all beings should instinctively cower. Why was Alexander unaffected?

The crimson eyes in the sky narrowed in anger:

"You insolent fool! How dare you!"

A black force materialized in the air, forming a massive demonic hand that reached for Alexander.

From behind him, a brilliant cyan light burst forth as the Heavenly Flame erupted, forming a giant flame mecha hand that clashed with the demonic hand.

The courtyard was filled with the sounds of flames roaring and ghostly wails, an unnerving cacophony.

The skies churned with wind and rain, thunder rumbling across the heavens.

This single exchange of attacks had altered the natural order, creating a storm of chaos.

The demon above roared in fury:

"Another S-rank human?! Why does the human country have so many S-ranks?!"

A black lightning bolt shot down from the black cloud, slicing through the Vine of Ascension binding Yuna.

Alexander's pupils shrank.

The Vine of Ascension, cultivated with his S-rank farmer talent, was broken so easily?

This could only mean the demon's rank far exceeded his own.

Why is such a terrifying demon in the human country? And why hasn't the Security Bureau noticed it?

If all high-ranking demons like this so-called "Demon Overlord" could invade so freely, the human country would have fallen long ago.

Yuna, overjoyed, unfurled her wings and fled into the distance as fast as she could.

"S-rank human with seventh-level spiritual energy? You will surely become a great enemy of the demon race in the future!"

"My concubine has done well in finding you."

The black cloud began to shift, taking on a vague humanoid form as it descended into the courtyard.

Alexander's eyes glowed with a cyan hue as the Heavenly Flame surged, forming a fiery flame mecha.

This creature was powerful—so powerful that Alexander wasn't confident he could defeat it.

As the demon descended into the courtyard, the Wishwood Tree and the Vine of Ascension seemed to come alive, enraged and lashing out as if to protect their territory.
