Happry Potter: The New Player

Chapter 45: Malfoy’s Boastful Revelations

The Slytherin common room was spacious, with walls and ceiling made of rough stones, and green lights hung from the ceiling. There was a beautifully carved fireplace, surrounded by several Slytherin students.

"You two wait here, my father has just sent me something," instructed Malfoy as he gestured for them to sit in two empty chairs by the fire.

They did not expect to see what Lucius Malfoy had sent without being asked.

They wondered if what Lucius had sent was related to the Chamber of Secrets.

A moment later, Malfoy returned holding a newspaper clipping and thrust it under Harry's nose.

"Goyle, you'll laugh when you see this."

Evan saw Harry tremble slightly; he could see what was written on it.

The Ministry of Magic's investigation into Mr. Weasley, head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office, resulted in an additional fifty galleon fine for the bewitched car incident today.

It was reported that the enchanted car crashed into the Whomping Willow at Hogwarts earlier this year, and Lucius Malfoy has called for Mr. Weasley's resignation.

"Mr. Weasley has tarnished the ministry's reputation. Mr. Malfoy has made it clear to me that he is not fit to draft laws for us, and his absurd Muggle Protection Act should be abolished immediately."

Mr. Weasley had no comment, but his wife told reporters to leave or she would release the ghost to bite them.

According to an earlier article in this paper, he urged the Ministry to pay attention to the safety of underage wizards; the author of the article was a twelve-year-old girl named Miss Granger.

"What do you think?" Malfoy asked as Harry handed back the clipping. "Do you find it amusing?"

"Haha," Evan and Harry smiled dryly.

"I wonder how the Weasley family will react, considering it was an article written by the conceited Mudblood, Granger," said Malfoy.

Evan wasn't sure how Mr. Weasley would feel, but he was relieved that Hermione hadn't followed them; otherwise, she would have been upset.

"We must find a way to make her read the Daily Prophet tomorrow morning."

"Well, I'm not surprised to hear the Weasleys are being attacked," said Malfoy disdainfully. "Look at the behavior of the Weasley family; they are a disgrace to pure-blood wizards."

Evan tried to restrain Harry from attempting to hit Malfoy.

"Let's not talk about the Weasley family anymore. You must know who opened the Chamber of Secrets and who the Heir of Slytherin is."

"You know I don't know, Goyle; how many times do I have to tell you?" Malfoy retorted. "Dad wouldn't tell me the details of the last time it was opened; he wasn't even born yet, but he knows everything. He told me it was a secret and that knowing too much would make him suspicious. But the last time the Chamber of Secrets was opened, a Mudblood died."

"We already know it was Moaning Myrtle," added Evan.

"Of course, I already told you," said Malfoy. "It's just a matter of time; hoping it's Granger or Mason, he's an excellent choice too."

Harry was shaking violently as Evan took a deep breath to refrain from hitting Malfoy.

"Did you know the man who opened the Chamber last time was caught?"

"It is said he was caught and expelled," said Malfoy. "You can check; whoever it is, probably still in Azkaban."

Evan remembered when they found out the expelled student was Hagrid, but that Hagrid was actually innocent.

"Malfoy, your father must know something," Evan cautiously asked, "Can you tell me who he has been in touch with?"

"What do you mean, Crabbe?" Malfoy stared and exclaimed, "Are you questioning the taste of my father's friends? Unlike the Weasleys, my father is in contact with true pure-blood wizards."

"But..."

"Although I want to assist the heir, father advised me not to be in the spotlight," said Malfoy, "But you know The Prophet has not reported on the attacks yet, which surprises me."

"Perhaps it's not worth reporting, as they are only petrified and Dumbledore will soon cure them."

"Yes, it must be Dumbledore who is concealing everything," said Malfoy, "I hope everything is revealed soon. My father said appointing Dumbledore as headmaster was the worst thing that happened to the school. Dumbledore favors Muggles; a decent headmaster would never allow people like Mason and Granger to attend the school."

"Dumbledore is the finest headmaster, Granger is top of her class, and Mason's spells are splendid."

"That's a typical Gryffindor; that rude house is simply dreadful," said Malfoy maliciously, "Especially that cursed Mudblood Mason, he dared to attack me, I will make him pay sooner or later."

"Besides spells, he also runs a newspaper..."

"I suppose the Mudblood knelt down and licked Potter's shoes so that Potter agreed to let him publish that article about Potter's mother in that pathetic newspaper," exaggerated Malfoy, "It was to lure people with Potter's mother's death, and all that woman can do besides giving Potter a ridiculous scar is show off."

I must admit Malfoy is a headache.

When Harry heard Malfoy insult his mother, he turned as red as an apple.

"What's wrong with you tonight?" asked Malfoy, looking at them strangely.

"Nothing, just... just had enough of you," said Evan as he cracked his knuckles and glared evilly at Malfoy.

"Crabbe, what are you doing?" Malfoy suddenly had a bad feeling.

"It's simple, I'm going to hit you," as soon as Evan finished, he threw a punch at Malfoy.

Harry paused for a moment before throwing a punch as well, with both landing hits, Malfoy didn't even have a chance to defend himself.
