Instead of answering Sirius just sighed "This is grown-up stuff Harry, you wouldn't understand"
Harry scoffed "Oh come on, if not me who else are you going to talk to, let's see our options here, there is James 'I met the love of my life in school and got married as soon as possible' Potter or Remus 'I think I don't deserve anyone because I get sick once of a month so I don't even try' Lupin or Alastor 'Constant Vigilance' Moody, yeah these are blokes you want to talk about women"
"Ok fine! Amy and I had a talk or more like she talked and I had to listen, after two years she wants us to get serious" Sirius answered with dread in his voice.
"Serious, like getting married?" Harry asked.
"Not right away but eventually yes, she asked me if I am ready for the level of commitment or if we should just stop here before anyone gets hurt" Sirius explained.
"It seems like she gave you all the options now you just have to make the decision, so what is the problem?"
"The problem is that I don't really know if am ready for that" Sirius confessed in frustration.
"So just break it off and walk away" Harry directly told him.
"I can't do that either because I don't want to lose her"
Seeing that Sirius is really struggling Harry puts his hand on Padfoot's shoulder in an effort to comfort him. "Why don't ask her for some time so you can make a proper decision?" Harry suggested.
Sirius ran his hands through his hair in dismay "I already did that, it's been two weeks but I still can't decide what to do"
"So you have just been avoiding her for all this time, how long do you think that's going to last? She is your boss, you can't just run away every time you see her"
Sirius nodded "Maybe I should just quit" Hearing that Harry once again whacked his godfather in the head.
"Sirius look at me, I can't really help you make this decision because this is a choice you have to make on your own, but let me tell you this, Bones seems like an exceptional woman, you don't become the youngest head of DMLE without that, and more importantly she seems like someone who knows exactly what she wants, and she wants you"
"And the Padfoot and I know wouldn't struggle this much unless you really like her, so maybe it's time to grow up and say goodbye to the whole Wizarding Britain's most eligible bachelor persona"
It was difficult for Sirius to hear this but after a few moments, he nods agreeing with Harry.
Sirius sighed "you are right, I should go talk to Amy" and with that Padfoot slowly walked away.
A few days later.
1st September 1992.
Daphne made her way towards their compartment which is significantly harder to do when you have a kneazle with you who refuses to follow directions.
During the summer Daphne finally bought her pet but instead of a half-kneazle like she wanted, Daphne instead got stuck with this proper Kneazle. It is supposed to be an honour for a witch or a wizard to be an owner of a proper kneazle since they are notoriously picky when it comes to accepting people as their owners. As such very rare few witches or wizards have a proper kneazle as a pet and the rest have to settle for half-kneazles instead.
Kneazles are supposed to be great judges of character and often protect their owners and warn them about suspicious and untrustworthy people. But Daphne's kneazle Shadow is just a menace in the shape of a cat, the kneazle looks adorable with her bright blue eyes and greyish fur with white spots but she is just an obnoxious beast.
Daphne wanted a cat that she could hug, pet and cuddle with, but Shadow won't even let Daphne touch her let alone hold her, Daphne can't even feed Shadow since the kneazle just hunts her own food like rats and other pests. Shadow comes when she wants and leaves when she wants, Daphne is pretty sure that the cat thinks that she is the owner and Daphne is her pet.
Somehow Daphne finally made it to the compartment and when she opened the door, she found Harry in the corner leaning against the window already asleep, Tracey and Oscar are nowhere to be found, maybe they are sitting somewhere else.
Daphne quickly puts her trunk away before finally sitting across Harry only to find Shadow, her stuck-up Kneazle, who won't even let Daphne touch her, happily sitting in Harry's lap cuddling against his sleeping form.
Daphne wanted to scream but somehow she grits her teeth and stays silent all while glaring at Shadow, but the cat continues to ignore her as usual.
After a while, Shadow also falls asleep on Harry's lap, just as Daphne was thinking about what to do for the next few hours, Harry wakes up with a jerk, scaring Shadow which causes the cat to jump off his lap.
One moment Daphne reaches out and grabs Harry's hand to make sure he ok then she feels a pulling force and the next moment she is standing on top of the train next to Harry.
As the world stops spinning around her Daphne realises that they are standing on the first carriage right behind the engine.
"You shouldn't have grabbed me like that Greengrass, you are lucky I know what I am doing or you could have splinched to Merlin knows where" Harry said breaking her out of her thoughts "Now stay right there" he said and motioned his hand down to her legs and with that she found herself stuck to the top of the train.
Before Daphne could ask what the hell is going on she sees a car flying on top of the tracks right in front of the train. Harry jabs his hand towards the car and pulls it upward, just as the train was about to crash into the car, it was as if a giant invisible hand grabbed the car and yanked it out of the way.
Just as she was coming to terms with what is happening, Harry grabbed her hand and the next moment they were back in their compartment but before she could say anything Harry disapparated.
