Chapter 50: Chapter 50: ReturnxRestaurant
It takes almost half a day but ultimately my flying saucer lands next to the Arena in time for us to get everything we need to do done and have some extra time to spend before the Gon and Killua predicament. I might even include Zushi in my own training, if he's going to become a floor master I want a decent challenge in the next Battle Olympia.
While landing or flying into the city I made no move to conceal my ship or the massive aura quantities I was using to power it, it would be suspicious anyway to see me go into an elevator with 19 men and 114 children.
We make our way toward the elevator, the hum of the city fading behind us as we enter the sleek, metallic shaft that will carry us up to floor 231 one or two at a time. I give a quick glance to the children, who look both excited and nervous. They're here for a reason to train, to grow, and to learn. And I'm going to make sure they do.
I step into the elevator first, I press the button for the 231st floor. The elevator begins its slow ascent, and I take a moment to center myself.
As the elevator doors open, I step out onto the familiar, polished floors of my personal penthouse. The air hits me instantly hot, dry, and stifling just as I left it. The heaters are still running, a necessary evil to maintain the arena's temperature prime for physical training. But right now, I have no need for them.
I extend my finger toward the temperature controls and press the off button. With a soft click, the heaters deactivate. Immediately, the temperature begins to drop, the air becoming cooler and more breathable.
When the children get up in groups of 3 and one adult they are tense, but I can tell they're also eager.
After only a few minutes, all of the children have made their way out of the elevator and are now walking toward me, their eyes taking in the large, empty space.
"Alright," I say, turning to face them, "this is your home for the foreseeable future. You'll each have your own room here, and it's important that you settle in before we get started. There's a training schedule on the wall near the hallway, and I expect everyone to be ready for it by tomorrow."
The kids nod, eager to explore. I don't blame them. This place is imposing but full of potential. I motion for the kids to follow me. "Let's get you to your rooms first. They're not much, but you'll be comfortable. You'll need your rest if you want to train properly."
I lead them down the long hallway, the floor beneath our feet echoing with each step. As we approach the rooms, I point out the doors. "The rooms are labeled with numbers, so no getting confused. Just make sure to keep your area clean. Trust me, I won't tolerate any mess."
One by one, the children head into their rooms, some with a bit of hesitation, others bursting with curiosity. I stay close, making sure they're settling in, offering quiet words of advice as they get accustomed to their new home.
Walking up to Hanzo I ask, "Hey can you look after the children I'm going to go make a request for some food delivered to us."
In reply, Hanzo nods saying, "Sure Boss but can we get Japponian or Kukan'yu Style Barbecue?"
To this request, I nod my head and walk over to where the announcer speaker would normally be. On most lower floors the speaker is only loud enough for people directly in or near the Arena to hear it but near the top the speakers are adjusted so no matter where you are on the floor you can listen to the 'excitement'.
Putting my mouth to the Microphone I say, "Everybody meet in the Arena in two hours flat. I don't want anybody to be late, there will be plenty of food so bring an appetite. Until then do whatever you want other than mess up my floor."
With this said I leave the booth and make my way down through an excruciatingly long elevator ride into the city to find a restaurant big enough to make my order in only 2 hours. I haven't been in a long while so it takes a while but I finally come across the restaurant I am looking for. It has a sign out front reading 'Yakiniku Q'. I have been here before and the food is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten.
'Yakiniku Q' is one of the world's best and most famous Barbecue restaurants, featuring an absolutely insane amount of variety and even more insane portion sizes. All of the food is hunted and cooked by 2 of the most recognized Professional Gourmet Hunters the Yakamichi brothers. For how big the portions are and how good it tastes the prices are also rather low, being almost right in the middle of cheap and decently expensive at only 4,730 jenny per portion.
In fact 'Yakiniku Q' is one of the world's best-rated restaurants and some of the most important delegates eat here when they visit. Walking in I am greeted by one of the brothers who asks, "Good Afternoon Sir, what can I do for you today?" in a kind-hearted tone.
"I need enough food to feed two hundred and fifty starving people in two hours. Do you think you can whip that up for me in that short of a time?" I ask in a challenging tone.
"Of course I can Sir. What type of food do you want and how should it be cooked?"
"Smoked, Roasted you name it I want it. Also, can we get them in varieties?"
"Sure what varieties do you want and will this order be for pick-up or delivery?"
"It will be for delivery, and I would like at the very least Japponian and Kukan'yu Style Barbecue. It would also be quite nice if you could add just a little bit of Ochiman jerk seasoning to it."
"Got it, Sir, you said for delivery so where should this be delivered too?"
"The 231st floor of Heavens Arena."
When he hears this he does a full double-take writing the address down before looking up with a tinge of surprise and asking, "Wait a second? the 231st floor of Heaven's Arena is home to a Floor master. Are you sure that's where you want this to be delivered?"
"Indeed the 231st floor is home to a floor master, and I am said floor master. Just because I use In in public doesn't mean I have minuscule amounts of Aura."
Growing ever more surprised and even with a slight look of interest he asks, "Okay, whatever you say. That will come up to 1,184,055 Jenny including tax and delivery fees." I pull out my wallet and take out a wad of cash equaling about 1,200,000 Jenny in total.
Seeing him reach for the cash register I stop him saying, "I don't want any change back but, who knows, if you do good on this order I might even consider making this order once or more a week."
I make my way out of the restaurant going on with my day in a happy mood. I might have to find some way of getting more money though if I'm going to be making this big of an order once a day for the foreseeable future though. While I walk I just relax and ponder how to make a ton of money fast.
