Chapter 11: Eldin Volcano
Skyloft.
"So still nothing..." Gaepora said in a sombertone what he got from Vexalias account of the events on the surface, "For now at least." Vexalia added, pulling out the new fragment she got from her bag.
With one look at it, the only real difference Gaepora could see is that there was a red crystal in in instead of a green one, "Are you gonna put it in the pedestal like the other?" He questioned, "It worked the other time." Vexalia replied, this time a twitch in her voice was very noticeable.
"Are you okay?" Gaepora asked, noting the twitch, "Are you?" Vexalia asked back, "I'm holding together anyway." The headmaster replied, still worried about his daughter, "But you seem like you're about to scream." He pointed out, now noticing that Vexalias eyes were bloodshot, "Because I am." She replied before heading to the Goddess statue.
After inserting the fragment in the pedestal, Vexalia got out of the statue and saw another beam of light, this time red, coming out of the clouds, "...Not yet..." She muttered as she started heading to the Bazar.
In the bazaar, the Gear Shop had new shields to sell, and the potion shop released a new kind of potion, but since a shield was the main priority at the moment, Vexalia decided to go to the Gear shop, where Rupin started gushing over a new customer, "Greetings! Glad to see new faces around!" He greeted.
Not wanting to stay longer than she needed to, Vexalia just wen to see the shields, "...How much is the iron shield? Also... Can you fill this?" She asked, handing over the satchel where she kept her Slingshots ammunition.
Later.
Vexalia came out of the Bazaar and stretched a bit, ready to head back down to the surface, "Two Stamina potions should do." She thought to herself, heading to a diving spot, "So the freak shows her face again." Groose said, approaching Vexalia.
Hearing Groose made Vexalia audibly groan, "Piss off redhead." She told the taller male who seemed taken aback by the aggressiveness, "What? So now that Zelda isn't backing you up you decided to grow a spine for times when you're not angry?" Groose teased with a smirk, but only then noticed exalia's bloodshot eyes.
"Listen here you! Every time you speak the only reason I'm not caving your face in is that Zelda wants me to behave!" Vexalia revealed sounding incredibly ticked off, a slight growl in her voice audible, "So if you excuse me, saving my girlfriend is a lot more important than listening to you yapping!" She continued before turning to go dive off, "Girlfriend?" Groose asked confused, "You didn't kn- I don't got time for this." Vexalia stopped herself, opting to hurry back to the surface.
Eldin Volcano.
Landing at the feet of the volcano, Vexalia immediately felt like she was dying, "Oh my Goddess this is unbearable!" She lamented, wiping her forehead of the newly formed sweat, "I detect that this heat is perfectly survivable, however it would be best to avoid jumping into the lava as it will prove fatal." Fi warned.
This prompted Vexalia to look down from the ground platform she was standing on, causing her to notice the Goddess Cube on the platform right below, "Huh... These are just everywhere aren't they?" She asked Fi, "These Cubes were created to assist you on your quest, so the amount you'll come across is considerable." Fi explained as Vexalia hit the Cube with a Skyward Strike and yadda-yadda-yadda.
Following the path brought Vexalia to a cave where two moles "What- Who are you two?" She questioned them with a general sense of confusion, "HIIH" They let out in surprise, seemingly ready to fight, but then relaxed, "Oh she's not one of those creeps." One of them realized, "I think you're right Leed" The other one responded.
"Say, you look and awful lot like another girl that passed, by, except she was yellow." Leed commented, immediately peaking Vexalia's interest, "Where did she go!?" She questioned, throwing herself to the ground just to be eye to eye, "...I'm guessing not answering ain't an option, she followed the path to the top of the volcano." The other replied, pointing to a blocked off path on the opposite side of how she got there.
Vexalia raised an eyebrow at the rocks blocking the path, "Yeah, there's was a small earthquake earlier and it made the entrance collapse a bit, there are some bomb flowers here thankfully." Leed said, pointing to the bomb looking flowers, "Hey Leed! We got places to be remember?" The other one brought up, "Oh You're right! Last there is a pile of scrap!" Leed said before burrowing, then followed by the other.
Walking up to a bomb flower, Vexalia looked it over before picking it up, which ignited it, "Whoa!" She exclaimed, tossing it away at the blocked path, making it explode and clearing the blockage, "I might be out of my comfort zone..." She muttered, walking towards the path.
