"I promise this won't take much of your time," Wally assured, noticing Lyla's hesitation. Her gaze lingered on Barry for a moment before refocusing on Wally. It was clear that Diggle had informed her of Barry's past actions, and she still seemed to hold a grudge.

"Okay, but make it quick," Lyla finally relented, her tone clipped. She turned to the agent standing nearby. "Wait for me in the car," she instructed.

Wally nodded and began. "Thank you, Director Michaels. I won't waste your time," he said, carefully setting the stage.

Lyla crossed her arms, a mix of curiosity and caution in her expression. "What do you want to discuss, Mr. West? My time is valuable."

ARGUS had been keeping an eye on Wally after catching wind of his recent purchase of a building, putting him firmly on their radar. They hadn't initiated any formal investigation since it wasn't in their field, but it was enough to make Lyla curious.

"I understand that ARGUS has a vested interest in acquiring promising technology," Wally began, his tone professional.

Lyla tilted her head slightly, acknowledging his statement without offering much. "Go on."

"I'm planning to start a tech company—West Tech. We've already developed several advanced technologies ready for production. However, to scale this vision, I'll need funding, partnerships, and resources," Wally explained smoothly. "What I'm proposing is a collaboration—West Tech and ARGUS working together."

Lyla paused, her sharp eyes studying Wally for any signs of deception. His unwavering tone and steady demeanor conveyed sincerity. Whatever he had planned, it was clear he believed in it.

"Okay then," she said, finally pulling out a card from her pocket and handing it to him. "Let's meet at the ARGUS base in Star City three days from now. If what you present is promising enough, I might be able to convince my supervisors to consider cooperating with West Tech."

Her tone remained measured but hinted at cautious optimism. The ball was now in Wally's court.

"If that's all, I have work to get back to," Lyla said, excusing herself as she stepped toward the waiting SUV. Before getting in, she turned back briefly. "I hope you won't disappoint my expectations, Mr. West."

Wally gave her a confident nod. "I won't," he assured her.

The car window rolled up as the SUV began to move, flanked by several others. Behind them, the transport truck carrying the detained metas followed, its reinforced build ensuring maximum security.

Wally stood there for a moment, watching the convoy disappear into the distance.

Plans are going as expected, Wally thought, until a figure in the distance caught his attention. He saw Barry deep in conversation with Pietro, possibly trying to recruit him to STAR Labs to aid with his training.

As Wally approached, snippets of their conversation reached him.

"You might need help controlling your powers," Barry said, his tone patient but persuasive. "If you're serious about helping the people of Central City, my team and I can assist you. All you need is the willingness to try."

Pietro nodded eagerly, his excitement barely contained. "Of course, I'd appreciate the help," he replied, nervously scratching the back of his head.

His suit, clearly homemade, was starting to show signs of wear, and he looked uncomfortable under the strain.

Wally couldn't help but chime in, offering Pietro an encouraging smile. "You're definitely going to need a better suit," he said, eyeing the boy's outfit. Pietro's sheepish grin revealed he already knew this. Making a superhero suit had seemed far easier in theory than in practice.

"Don't worry, I'll help you with that," Wally added confidently.

The next day, Wally strode into the halls of STAR Labs after another successful mission. Jared Morillo, once again caught in the act, had been apprehended. This time, Wally had wisely instructed Alfred to monitor Morillo.

The moment Morillo tried to escape his cell, he was immediately transported to another one. Hopefully, that would break his spirit—or at least his streak of escape attempts.

Additionally, Barry had invited Pietro to STAR Labs and agreed to Caitlin's suggestion to let Julian join the team. Both were expected to arrive today.

Meanwhile, Joe wouldn't be stopping by STAR Labs anytime soon; the recent casualties among Central City's officers had left him with a significantly increased workload.

As Wally entered the Cortex, he found Cisco, Caitlin, and HR locked in an animated discussion.

"What's going on here?" Wally asked, drawing their attention.

"HR here thinks it's a good idea to call a meta who absorbs energy... Absorber," Cisco replied, his tone heavy with exasperation.

Wally glanced at HR, his expression unimpressed. "Seriously?"

He quickly cut into the conversation. "Just keep it simple. The woman who absorbs energy? Call her Siphon."

He continued without pause. "The green one? Let's just call him The Green."

"And the big guy? Name him Titan, or... I don't know, Hulk or something." Wally shrugged, leaving the others to mull over his suggestions.

The reason why he was here was, of course, to gain information on Dr. Wells' experiments on metahumans and meta-genes, including Harry's work.

The information wasn't hidden too deeply, and with Alfred's help, it was a piece of cake. He quietly returned to the Cortex, finding Caitlin absent. Maybe she went to work on the Philosopher's Stone, he wondered.

Afterwards, he exited STAR Labs and quickly slipped into his dimension.

"Welcome, Master," Alfred's voice greeted him as usual. Wally returned the greeting and pressed on.

He advanced towards a row of tubes containing blood samples from the three metas. He wasn't planning on rushing into anything. Alfred would run tests first, but Wally wanted to satisfy his curiosity.

Taking a tube containing Charna's samples out of the cooler, he quickly began studying. Under the microscope, the blood appeared ordinary at first. Adjusting the magnification, patterns emerged. Tiny, glowing threads intertwined within the cells, pulsating faintly like miniature lightning bolts.

It seemed the cells still carried traces of Speed Force energy. Wally quickly realized that her body did not adapt to Speed Force energy like a speedster. She hadn't been chosen by the Speed Force itself, so she could only use it crudely.

Delving deeper past the dissipating Speed Force energy, Wally noticed something unique—a form of energy unlike anything he had seen before.

"Alfred, take a look at this," he called, startled.

The energy had a particular signature that allowed her to absorb so much. After extensive research, Alfred discovered the energy was produced by Charna's meta-gene. The Speed Force energy still in the samples wasn't just fading—it was being absorbed, and more of the unique energy was being produced.

To absorb energy sourced from a universal force, this must be on par with or superior to the Speed Force, Wally thought. Could it be cosmic energy?

For now, there was no way to confirm it. He'd have to proceed cautiously.

Moving on, Wally examined the greenish-brown blood sample, thicker than normal. This meta's regeneration fascinated him. He wondered if it could advance the bio-regenerative serum. With the next session tomorrow, he'd be ready to explore further.

As for the Hulk-like metahuman's blood, he assigned his clone to handle and gather information on it. He needed to approach it systematically.

Another clone focused on developing technology for H.R.'s STAR Labs museum. He and Cisco had decided to fully support H.R.'s vision. The clone handled the tech, creating items like holograms and replicas of STAR Labs inventions, while Cisco focused on enhancing the visitor experience. Together, their efforts ensured everything would run smoothly.
