Chapter 3: Birth of gods 1
The roulette was still spinning, and increasing its speed so much that it was throwing silver sparks, I started to get scared that something had gone wrong, I turned to Orion and asked.
"what the hell is going on!!!, I thought this was about choosing my next life, it hasn't even started and I'm already going to die?".
"boy for starters don't yell at me, and secondly this has happened very rarely, usually it's when it's the start of a new race o...."
"¿o?"
"..."
"or what?"
"...Or the birth of a God... but that's impossible!!! the last God was born just a few centuries ago, we are way out of time!!!"
Ok this is freaking me out already, will I be born as a new race? Or as a God? While Orion was thinking about the possible consequences of what this could cause, the roulette started to glow and expel a hellish heat, I felt it in my whole being despite being protected by Orion's barrier. I began to wonder if the roulette had really been created by Orion, considering that I could not control it, until suddenly, the roulette stopped with a loud explosion.
"BOOM!!!!"
The explosion was so loud that it illuminated all our previously dark surroundings for a few seconds, once the explosion passed we could see the roulette wheel glowing in a reddish hue. Neither Orion nor I could read the slot where it had stopped as it was still glowing, the wait felt like hours had passed, even if it was only a few minutes.
As the minutes passed the roulette began to lose more and more brightness, until a moment came when Orion could read the inscription, I watched as his previously invisible body was revealed, he appeared to be a Caucasian man of maybe 30 years old, wearing Victorian gothic style attire, like 17th or 18th century, carrying a cane in his right hand, at his left side he carried hanging a pocket watch with inscriptions I had never seen before, with his face covered by a dark trail that faded to show his fiendishly beautiful face deathly pale with horror, so much was his pressure that he took 2 steps backwards. I began to get impatient because he wouldn't speak to me so I shouted at him.
"Orion what happened what did I get, what will I be reincarnated as?"
"No...this can't be happening...and it can't be happening in my turn!!!!"
Already impatient, I approached the roulette wheel through the Orion barrier, it still felt a little hot, but at a more acceptable level. Approaching the roulette again, I looked up to read the inscription, my surprise was enormous when I saw a simple word of 3 letters: GOD.
I really couldn't believe it, me, a god? I always wanted to be the most powerful person in the world, but from that to being a god was too much. The impact was so much that I fell backwards, or I think I fell, since my sphere shape was tilted downwards. Orion got up first and materialized a table, 2 chairs, a teapot and 2 cups. he sat down and offered me a cup of tea, which I quickly accepted, we started to drink tea quietly, it tasted kind of strange, maybe it was because I no longer had taste buds, then we were silent. That was all there was for a while between orion and I until I could no longer ignore the elephant in the room.
"Orion?"
"..."
"Orion... what just happened?"
"..."
"ORION!!!"
"OK, OK!!!, I heard you the first time, I was sorting out my thoughts, I still can't believe that you, of all the beings in my universe, got to be reincarnated into a god!"
"Okay, is it so rare for someone to become a god? I mean, you said there are more gods, now that I think about it, it shouldn't be that weird."
"Well, for starters, let me explain a few things to you, so you can understand the context of why it's almost impossible for what just happened to happen."
Orion told me that, in the beginning of the very existence of reality, there were no sentient beings, not even the gods, Just an accumulation of energy floating in nothingness, but something happened, something that not even they, the gods know for sure how it happened, that made the accumulated energy explode, generating a chain reaction. The energy accumulated in a sphere, but leaving energy behind, which, after a long time, managed to manifest its own consciousness, this was the first sentient being ever created, it was the first that later would be considered as the progenitor of the race of the gods, the Great One.
He had a humanoid form, but unlike the others, he had 6 arms, he had 7 eyes, 2 normal, 2 in his cheeks and 2 in his forehead, and the last one was located vertically in the center of the first two. His face was symmetrical and overflowed with an indescribable beauty. Her skin was reddish, also, she had no sexual organs. When he saw his body, he unconsciously created around him a suitable garment for such a being like him, he shone for a few seconds to give shape to his garment, when he finished he was wearing a tunic similar to that of the ancient Egyptian gods, leaving the upper part of his body uncovered. An avambrazo with gems appeared, expelling a mysterious power in each of his 6 arms and finally a crown floating around his head.
He was alone for a long time in the void, next to the sphere. He was in such agony that he thought of replicating the explosion that gave him life, in order to finish it. He decided to attack the sphere with his newly discovered abilities, but he knew innately how to use them, he went to attack the sphere, but it, like clockwork, replicated the original explosion from which he was born.
The sphere, as if following a pattern, after exploding, condensed back into a sphere, again leaving energy behind. The Great One marveled, for he would no longer be alone, he would only have to wait until the energy became conscious as he did. He waited and waited, until finally the energy became conscious, giving birth to a new god, this one, unlike the Great One, had a different appearance, was thinner, with long golden hair, had 4 eyes and 6 ears, and his skin was white like pearl, This seemed strange, but stranger was the sphere, that despite exploding twice, did not seem to have consumed energy. as he was the number 1, he decided to name it n°2.
The sphere kept repeating the explosion for its subsequent reassembly until there were 10 gods, each one different from the previous one. These, including Great One, waited for the sphere to explode again, so that a new god would be created, but nothing happened, the sphere no longer exploded. They were thousands of eons without doing anything, they tried to use their power to try to create new sentient beings, but these died immediately due to the non-existence, this caused that any living being that did not have a power on par with the gods died in seconds. They were stranded, they had no purpose, since they had been created by a random event.
It was not until a long time had passed that Great One, together with the other 4 primordial gods, decided to use the sphere again, but in a less aggressive way, extracting the energy from it, first creating an environment that could keep the sentient beings alive. Giving rise to the first universe, once created, they began to mold their own energy to create diverse and new races in their image and likeness. For a while there was peace, but there were certain gods who did not feel sufficiently content with their existence, they wanted to reign over these new species.
Obviously this did not please Big One, and a battle started, the gods were divided into 2 camps. Some supporting Big One, and the others supporting n°7. Their battle was so devastating, that even the energy contained in the sphere was shaken, this caused the fight to stop abruptly, everyone, from n°2 to n°10 unconsciously feared the sphere, because if it created them, it could also destroy them.
Big One was not afraid of it, because he already knew that he could not be destroyed by that energy, because he had already tried and it only made him stronger. The energy was suddenly expelled, but instead of being like an explosion, it was more like lightning, directed to a void in the universe, everyone was confused, at least until they realized that the energy was being absorbed by something, a living being.
