I Got Killed and Woke Up as a Successor

Chapter 5: What a Stupid Girl 2

When Adrew's name was mentioned by her maid, Elonora's mind went back to her fiancé in the past, to her life before this. What had happened to the man who would become her husband in less than 24 hours? She also remembered the man she had considered a friend, but who had stabbed her when she had become Cristy.

She hissed and then swore. "Damn it!"

The three maids who were accompanying Eleonora were surprised to hear the curse coming from their mistress' mouth. The three stopped, looked at each other, and fell to the ground in fear and surprise.

"Forgive us, Lady!" they shouted in unison.

She, who had been walking ahead of the three, was naturally startled. She quickly stopped and turned around. "What are you doing?" she asked curiously.

"We seem to have offended you, Lady. But we did not mean to offend you. So please forgive us!" Aisya spoke for the three of them.

Eleonora could see cold sweat on the foreheads of her three maids. She wondered how these three maids could ask for forgiveness when nothing had happened. She was sure that she would have told them if she hadn't been angry about the story she had heard earlier in the room during the preparations.

"Looks like you misunderstood!" She remembered cursing her situation earlier. So it was likely that her maids had misunderstood the emotion expressed. "I... I didn't mean to get mad at you!" She was ashamed of herself.

Her maids looked up and stared in disbelief at what she had said. Soon, however, all three stood up, looking relieved that they had done nothing wrong. "I apologize on behalf of all of us if our words offended you, Lady!"

Eleonora warned herself to be more careful. She should never use harsh words in front of people like servants. "Then show me somewhere else!" She turned around and walked slowly in front of the maids.

This garden of his residence was very beautiful. There were a lot of different plants in it. Even some fruits that were rarely seen. Everything was in full bloom. She reached the end of the garden and saw a group of workers carrying boxes. The group of men and women of various ages looked tired and half-frightened.

"What are these?" Eleonora asked the maids.

"They are slaves, my lady! But I don't know what they're carrying. I'm sure there's no delivery today." Aisya replied from behind. "Allow me to leave for a moment to ask them, Lady."

Aisya lowered her head and walked quickly towards the workers who were carrying many wooden crates. She called out to one of them, asked a question, and quickly returned. Her face, which had been bright before, became somber.

Eleonora was sure that the information Aisya had received was unpleasant. She had the feeling that it was her fault. "So, what happened?"

"Lady Ebe has ordered some items to be taken from your treasury, Lady. Not only that but some jewelry has also been requested to be sent to her residence!" Aisya said with a red face.

She didn't need to ask who permitted this outrageous act.

"Let's go over there and have some fun!" she said as she led the way.

The maids behind her must have been confused. But she just couldn't stand this bad behavior any longer. How could someone take someone else's things with such shamelessness? She would not give her belongings to someone who was dating the man she called her fiancé.

The workers transporting the goods were startled when she approached them. They stopped moving and looked down in fear. Eleonora approached one of them and looked at what was inside the wooden crate.

"Pretty clothes, jewelry boxes, urns?" She was surprised by the contents of the wooden boxes each person was inspecting. "Where are they all going?" she asked again, already knowing.

"Sorry, lady, we are only supposed to carry these to the carriage!"

Eleonora remembered the tall man who answered. It was the same person Aisya had questioned earlier. He seemed to be the boss of the slaves at work.

"Is that so?" She looked like a confused person.

He left the workers who were checking the wooden boxes. She went to the cart where all the goods were placed. There were many dresses and even jewelry boxes. Eleonora's whole body was shaking with rage. She was trembling because she was stupid. How could she give up what belonged to her just like that?

[Hey Lady... did your brain switch places because of love?] she asked herself silently.

"Return all the items you've been carrying. I'll pay you extra money for working extra hard!" Eleonora had already decided. No, she hadn't. She - Christy, who was Eleonora now - had made her decision.

"Yes, Lady?" The burly man who had shared information with them earlier was confused.

"Aisha, these are all still my things, right?"

"Yes, Lady, all the items were taken from your treasury, except for the dress, which seems to have been chosen and taken from your dressing room!" Aisya looked satisfied with her actions. It seemed that these three Eleonora maids hated Ebe Damanda.

"You with the not! Bring all the items back inside without exception!" ordered Eleonora. "Bianca, Bell, please find a place for me. I'll keep an eye on things until everyone is inside. Aisya, you're in charge of supervising the workers!"

Despite a slow start, the workers brought in all the things they had taken out. The chair Eleonora had requested arrived, and she sat down until some of the goods that had been transported on the freight train were brought back in.

"Why are you bringing them back?"

Eleonora looked at the servant who had suddenly appeared and scolded the slave master. He ruffled his loins, missing Eleonora's presence there.

"But, Lady ordered ...."

"Lady? All these goods belong to Lady Ebe Damanda, we have to deliver them there!"

Eleonora's smile appeared immediately. "So all the items in my treasure room belong to Lady Ebe? I heard something really good!"

"What?" The servant turned around, surprised by Eleonora's presence. However, there was no fear or regret in the man's eyes. "Lady, you shouldn't plunder other people's possessions. Lady Ebe wants all this!"

"So if she wants it, I have to give it to her?" Eleonora laughed out loud. Her shoulders shook and she wanted to hit someone. "You're crazy, aren't you?" she said to the servant.

"Lady, that Lady Ebe--"

"What?" Eleonora jerked her body up quickly. She shortened the distance between her and the servant. "Say it again? What do you mean?"

"Lady Ebe wants all this!"

Her head was already spinning from being in an unfamiliar place. She was not herself now. She was in the body of Eleonora, a wealthy noble, a descendant of a witch who could not even control what she had properly.

"Damn it!" she cursed. Everyone was shocked to hear the curse words coming out of her mouth. The faces of the people paled. "I have to give my possessions to that damn lady because that damn bitch wants them! Very good!"

"Lady?"

"Get out of my way! Don't ever set foot in this residence again. Even if we run into each other on the street, don't even try to get a glimpse of me!" She was filled with anger now. "You... take all my things back to the house. Listen carefully, no one is allowed to take my things out of the house without permission. No one. That includes the Crown Prince, his mother, and that damned Lady Ebe!"

She stomped forward, making the servant who dared to challenge her fall in fear. She could hear the servant's cries for mercy. But she didn't even have the will to turn around to see the face she now hated.

Inside, she met Aisya, who was shaking her loins at the protesting maids. Then one of the workers coming from outside whispered to her. Everyone immediately ducked and disappeared.

"Aisha, do you know all the things Lady Ebe took from this house?" Eleonora asked.
