I Got Killed and Woke Up as a Successor

Chapter 6: What a Stupid Girl 3

Aisya was silent for a while. Her head nodded slowly. She turned to her friends, who were now on the other side of Eleonora. The faces of her maids were slightly frightened. It seemed that someone had caused all of this.

"So, do you know what items have been taken from my treasure room?" She asked again to make sure there was no misunderstanding in the answer she received.

She saw Aisya shake her head. "Yes, my lady, I know what items were taken from the treasure room. Bell and Bianca also know about the jewelry and clothes that went missing from your dressing room!"

The other servants and maids passing by whispered at the sight of them all. However, as soon as their activities were noticed by Eleonora, they all quickly ran away. "Great, I want everything!"

"The butler has a list of the things Lady Ebe took," Aisya said very quietly, almost whispering. However, the silence in the hall made her whispered voice reverberate and turn into an echo.

"The butler?"

Eleonora tried to remember the information about the butler in her head. She was sure that he was an important figure in the control of this large residence. The servants and maids couldn't act without clear orders from an experienced person.

"Then ask the butler to bring me a list of all the items Lady Ebe took from the treasury!" She ordered.

Eleonora's three maids were surprised to hear this. But they did not ask any questions.

She looked around the hall, as she had come down from the second floor earlier, she hadn't noticed the many paintings that looked very expensive on the walls. Not only that but the steps near the paintings glittered with gold. She thought it was real gold. No wonder there were so many parasites in the life of this woman without parents. Eleonora remembered a treasure house. The word "storehouse" told her how many luxurious and valuable things she had now. And sooner or later they would all change hands if she didn't act.

The hallways on the second floor were covered with soft, bright red carpet. So were the rooms. Only near the fireplace was there no carpet, for fear that the embers would start a fire.

As soon as she entered the room, Bell and Bianca quickly took a seat. She took off the hat she had worn outside, as well as the heavy scarf around her neck. As soon as she sat down, tea was neatly served. The glass window leading to the balcony was opened to let the air in. The sweet scent of spring made her feel at ease.

"Bell, I have a job for you. If the prince and his mother come back and ask for a visit, I expect you to say that I don't want to see them!"

Bell was surprised to hear this order. She became agitated.

"I'm going to get in trouble, Lady!"

"From the Prince?"

"From the other maids!" Bell rubbed her palms against the sides of the dress she was now wearing. Then she turned to Bianca. "We're taking the blame for serving you so well. Except for the butler, almost all the servants and maids in this house are the prince's people and concubines."

Well, everyone had told her before. So if there was no one on Eleonora's side, she would have to make her people. "Does the butler have all the data of the people who enter this residence to work?"

"Yes, my lady, Lord Sebas is a trustworthy person. Because he was the first person to oppose you when you gave the management of the mansion to the prince."

Thank goodness there was still someone with a clear head in this poor organization. Otherwise, he would have been overwhelmed by himself. "Then I want to see Sebastian!"

Eleonora was sure that she had not made a mistake by mentioning a direct name. She was in a high enough position to do so.

"Aisya must have been looking for Mr. Cause, lady, so he'll be here soon!" Bianca nodded confidently. Her face was happy and relieved. It seemed as if she had been looking forward to her mistress' firm attitude.

After drinking the tea, Eleonora felt a little sleepy. She yawned, and without being asked, Bell and Bianca prepared her bed. They helped Eleonora to change her clothes. Until she fell asleep, Eleonora was sure that her two maids were still at her side.

When she awoke, the sun was just a red line on the horizon. The trees outside cast dark shadows, like a monkey rising from somewhere. Eleonora was alone in her room.

Eleonora shifted her body from the middle of the bed to the edge. She got down and stepped barefoot out of the room. The soft, thick fur of the carpet tickled her feet. It was obvious that all carpets used in this house were of high quality.

Only a few magic crystals shone in the hallway on the second floor. It seemed that someone had overlooked the fact that the hallway was the one Eleonora used to get to the stairs. It must have been the work of the servants sent by the lord and concubine.

She descended cautiously, for only a few of the magic crystals on the stairs were shining.

"She stopped all the goods that were to be sent to Lady Ebe! That's very stupid."

"When the prince comes later, she'll cry and apologize. That's how it will be!"

The group of maids seemed to chat excitedly about her. Eleonora decided to stay in the middle of the stairs and listen to all the gossip that was being discussed.

From the gossip, which was mostly mocking her - more precisely, mocking Eleonora's true spirit - she knew that Ebe Damanda had repeatedly committed such arbitrary acts. Every time Eleonora acted, the prince would threaten her and make her apologize.

[You are so stupid, Eleonora! That foolish prince won't be able to break his engagement to you. You are a gold mine!] She said to herself.

"Looks like we're going to make three new friends. This way, everyone in the residence will be the prince's people. Except for Lord Sebas, of course!"

"As long as he doesn't threaten Lady Ebe and the Prince, I don't think Mr. Sebas will have any problems."

She was annoyed to hear that. So she stood up quickly and walked slowly down the stairs. Inwardly, she told the maid to keep talking. It felt good to finally explode in anger.

"So the prince is going to make me beg?" asked Eleonora suddenly.

The gossiping maids were startled. They quickly turned and craned their heads to see who had joined their conversation.

"Lady, how did you..."

"This is my residence! I have the right to walk around here without anyone's permission. Thank God I came out of the room. I heard something very interesting!" she said, tilting her head. "Why don't you continue?"

The maids retreated immediately. They looked at each other and asked each other for help. But how could they help each other in the face of a beast ready to pounce at any moment?

"Excuse us, lady!" One of the maids bowed in farewell.

"Wait!" Eleonora stopped them all. "All of you, one, two, three, and four. You don't need to come to my residence anymore. Report to the butler to collect your final paycheck!"

"Lady!" they shouted.

"After you make a mistake, you usually apologize. But for you to yell at me like that, what a brave and refreshing thing!" She laughed. In her previous life, she had had to deal with shameless humans. This time, he would not be intimidated by the servants working for him. "I won't repeat myself. Leave! Don't forget to tell the lord that I fired you. You must be looking forward to me apologizing to that bastard prince, right?"

The maids were shocked and backed away. Their faces looked red as if they were about to cry. Soon after, they ran away.

When all the maids were gone, Eleonora was relieved. She had gotten rid of the foul infestation in her residence. However, there were a lot of such insects in the residence at the moment. So she had to work hard again.

Since she had only been in Eleonora's body for a short time and had become that girl, she did not know many rooms other than the ones she had been in. She stayed in the hall and then decided to go back to her room. '

"Lady Eleonoran, how are you...? Wait, why aren't you wearing any shoes?" A man shouted from the right side of the hall.

She frowned as she had trouble seeing the man who was shouting. Besides the man, Aisha was also there. The girl ran up to Eleonora with a red face. She apologized several times.

"The carpet here is so soft, so don't apologize!" She smiled and promised to wear something every time she got out of bed.
