I Have Decided to Go Look for My Father

Chapter 102: Looking over at Gu Xi, what's with that unpleasant feeling that he was experiencing right now? (2)

Gao Zifan wasn’t the only one chastised. Gu Xi, too, was chastised with him. The reason being poor team work.

After the fact, it was such an embarrassing issue that the school didn’t want to bring it up again nor did the teacher mentioned anything about the two’s scores.

As such, not very many knew about this and those who knew anything at all would not think that Gao Zifan was the one who dragged Gu Xi down with him.

As for Lin Anxin, she heard the story from Gao Zifan.

She was over at Gao Zifan’s place at the time and they started talking about the competition. Gao Zifan was in a bad mood at the time and said that it was Gu Xi’s fault.

Lin Anxin gave Gu Xi a contemptuous look and looked back at the crowd. “But it is all good now. Now that senior had gone over to your school. You are the ones who should be worried.”

Everybody looked surprised when they heard Lin Anxin’s words. They looked over at Gu Xi, then at Gao Zifan, as though they were seeking for some sort of validation.

Gao Zifan’s look stiffened under everyone’s gaze.

– He was very displeased last year when the school assigned Gu Xi to pair up with him.

First of all, Gao Zifan disliked Gu Xi. In his eyes, Lin Anxin was the cute and naïve little sister and Lin Xi was a jealous and vindictive person who would do anything within her power to take away what belonged to her sister.

Secondly, Gu Xi was only a freshman at the time, Gao Zifan questioned her ability. Besides, Lin Anxin had told him in the past that Gu Xi cheated all the time during grade school in order to get top grades.

The distrust Gao Zifan had for Gu Xi was the reason why he picked the same problem sets as Gu Xi. That way, he could prove that it was Gu Xi who had dragged him down if they scored poorly.

He would never have thought that their teacher would bring them with him to check on the actual scores and it turned out that Gu Xi scored higher than him!

Gao Zifan tried his best to cover up the embarrassing look on himself.

Gu Xi, as the other person in question, was very nonchalant.

As though Lin Anxin and Gao Zifan did not exist to her at all, Gu Xi continued to work on their breakfast with Gu Chenyi.

At the same time, she put half of her fried chicken nuggets into Gu Chenyi’s plate – the boy’s eyes were lit up when he looked at the chicken nuggets.

Gu Chenyi had wanted to get rid of the braindeads but, as Gu Xi had stopped him, he had given up on that idea.

Looking at Gu Xi who was enjoying her meal relaxingly, a wicked look flashed past Gu Chenyi: He had a feeling that Xixi was up to something. He would just wait and see.

After all, nobody from the Gu family was the pushover type.

On the other side, while everybody else was focused on Gao Zifan, Sheng Xiuyan was looking at Gu Xi. As though he had recalled something, his look deepened.

Sheng Xiuyan recalled it now. He seemed to have seen Gu Xi at the competition a year ago. During the final award ceremony, those from Liming stood at the third-place location on the left. Gu Xi, at the time, stood behind everyone else as those she was invisible.

Sheng Xiuyan didn’t pay too much attention to what was going on at another school at the time. Came to think about it now, Gao Zifan was obviously having the others ostracized Gu Xi.

Those who didn’t know better would naturally feel that Gu Xi was the one who dragged their team down.

But was that really what happened?

Sheng Xiuyan stood up all of a sudden and walked up to Gao Zifan and the others.

“Liming? The third place from last year?”

“Yeah,” said Gao Zifan, sounding somewhat tense.

He knew about Sheng Xiuyan. He was the legend of HSAU and also the legend of many top students at other school.
