Chapter 8: 8. Heavy Rainstorm
Anna returned to the apartment and also carried a big bag with her. If she appeared without bringing anything, she would only look more eye catching.
Honestly, not many people still liked cooking at these days and many of them would just eat outside.
They were busy with various activities.
"Hey Anna, do you need some help?"
Anna looked at Dylan who came while also carrying a big bag. It seemed that he himself was also trying to prepare for this storm.
"There's no need. You also need to bring a lot of things."
"I have warehouse in the apartment, so it's easy for me to carry my things." Dylan laughed. "Besides, I'm man and also much stronger than you."
Weak chicken Anna: "…"
Looking at the big bag in front of her, Anna coughed. She honestly only carried her snacks inside this big bag and the rest were cloth that made it look big. Because if she truly had to carry the large rice bag…
She honestly couldn't.
QAQ
She's truly a weak chicken…
"It's fine…"
"Really?" Dylan arched his eyebrows. "How about if I lend you a cart? There's a small one at the back."
"There's no need," Anna replied weakly. Just how weak is she in Dylan's eyes.
But he was indeed right…
No, she didn't want to admit that she was very weak!
She had to train!
There was also treadmill inside her apartment but Anna had almost never used it. It was only there as nothing more than a decoration.
Dylan chuckled when he saw Anna's evading action. He could guess that she didn't really want to show her weak side in front of others. Thinking about the incident in the party not long ago, his eyes flashed slightly.
Perhaps, she was uncomfortable with it?
But seeing Anna's face, she didn't look that sad.
But who knows how many people could still smile when their heart was crying?
Dylan didn't persist and instead push the button and let Anna entered the lift first. He then followed inside and stood beside the panel. This way, he would be able to hold it when she got out later.
"Thanks." Anna looked thankful.
"It's nothing more than a gentlemanly act." Dylan smiled. "Oh right, Lucy and Mark has returned. They're living in the 17th floor if you want to pay a visit."
"They're back?" Anna's eyes lit up.
Lucy and Mark were her friends from the same community when she was young.
They were all separated when they reached high school because for various reasons. And if Anna was not wrong, Lucy and Mark were dating each other.
They have room in the 17th floor, to be exact two rooms. Their parents originally wished for them to keep their distance by being neighbor but from what Anna knew, they just slipped to each other's apartment at night.
So much for being a neighbor.
After starting high school, the two of them rarely came here because their high school was far away but the two apartments were still under their name.
Anna hadn't seen them for a long time.
"Yes. But I guess they hadn't returned yet from buying supplies." Dylan recalled that Lucy liked to stock up everything. From food to daily items to useless items. If not because their parents were all rich, it was estimated that she would make herself poor.
It was unknown what was the use of those items that she had stocked up for so long.
"Oh." Anna was not surprised.
At the same time, she was wondering a bit about her best friend. If not because Lucy entered military affiliated high school in order to enter military academy after she graduated later, it was impossible for the two of them to be separated.
This girl had big dreams of entering the military and her parents could only support the stubborn girl.
Mark was the same.
So they were going to the same high school.
It's winter break, though, so they should be back.
Anna somewhat anticipated the time she could reunite with her best friend. The premise is that she would not be the third wheel when the two of them were lovey dovey.
Ding!
The elevator stopped on their floor.
It seemed the others were either hadn't returned or had gone back earlier.
Dylan pressed the button while Anna walked out.
"Thank you."
"It's nothing. You don't have to be so polite." Dylan looked at Anna and shook his head. "If you need help, you can come to my room."
"Um." Anna nodded.
The two of them entered their respective room.
Bang!
Anna looked at the window and saw that the rainstorm had started. Her eyes flashed with worry.
Hopefully, this will be just like other rainstorm before where they didn't need to go to the shelter and stayed with the others. It would be very uncomfortable.
