In bleach as Gilgamesh

Chapter 14: Chapter 14 - Yoruichi's Arrival

Chapter 14 - Yoruichi's Arrival

"This feels like a dream."

Looking at the completely transformed Inuzuri, Renji couldn't help but sigh.

Not long ago, he would never have believed that the poorest, most chaotic, and backward area of the entire 78th district of South Rukongai, Inuzuri, could turn into a bustling place full of hope and vitality.

Rukia stood silently beside him, her admiring gaze fixed on Gilgamesh.

Rukia felt a sense of awe. Initially, neither she nor Renji believed Gilgamesh was a true king; they followed him on a whim.

Who could have imagined that Gilgamesh truly was a king?

The aura surrounding Gilgamesh was so mysterious that legends about him had already begun to spread in Inuzuri.

Some said Gilgamesh was a sun god who patrolled Inuzuri at night on a giant bird that radiated sunlight.

Others said Gilgamesh was a destined king, here to lead them out of their suffering.

Still, others claimed Gilgamesh came from one of the top noble families in Seireitei, defying his family's opposition to save them.

Looking at the nearly completed royal palace, Renji couldn't help but ask Gilgamesh, "My king, I remember you mentioned that you once ruled a human kingdom."

"Can you tell me about that? I want to learn about the kingdom you once led."

Since wholeheartedly acknowledging Gilgamesh as his king and witnessing his abilities, Renji had always addressed him respectfully.

Even though Gilgamesh had told him to call him by his name and not be overly formal, Renji couldn't bring himself to do so.

Rukia was the same.

Rukia, too, was curious. She wanted to know everything about Gilgamesh, especially the kingdom he once ruled.

She believed it must have been magnificent and splendid.

Gilgamesh's face showed a hint of nostalgia.

After merging with the template of Young Gilgamesh, he also inherited his memories.

Thus, the ancient and glorious kingdom of Uruk existed in his memory.

However, Gilgamesh wasn't sure if the kingdom of Uruk existed in the world of Bleach.

With this thought, Gilgamesh began to speak, "The kingdom I once ruled was called Uruk, it was—"

Just as he started, a construction engineer ran over and interrupted, "My king, I apologize for disturbing you, but we have a situation that requires your decision."

The professionals sent by the Ōmaeda family had unknowingly been won over by Gilgamesh, genuinely acknowledging him as their king.

Their respect for Gilgamesh stemmed from his unparalleled architectural prowess.

Gilgamesh's skills in architecture were nothing short of artistic, magical, and miraculous, earning their admiration and reverence.

Gilgamesh turned to Renji and Rukia, "Renji, Rukia, I'll tell you more next time. I need to handle this."

With that, Gilgamesh left with the engineer.

Renji and Rukia knew Gilgamesh had important matters to attend to and didn't say much, just watched him leave.

To Renji, Gilgamesh's figure seemed to grow more distant.

Not in a physical sense, but in terms of the gap between them.

Renji knew that if this continued, there would come a day when he couldn't even see Gilgamesh's back.

This future was unacceptable to Renji.

He and Rukia were Gilgamesh's first followers; they should stay by his side until the end.

After Gilgamesh's figure disappeared, Renji suddenly said, "Rukia, we need to work harder. Otherwise, we won't be able to keep up with Gil."

Rukia understood and resolutely replied, "To always stay by Gil's side and help him create an ideal kingdom, I will give it my all!"

Not far away, in her black cat form, Yoruichi Shihōin lounged lazily on a thatched roof, watching with interest. She muttered to herself, "This kid Gilgamesh seems to be quite charismatic, winning over two loyal followers."

"A former king of a human kingdom, and the nation he once ruled…"

Yoruichi's face showed a thoughtful expression. "Uruk… why does that name sound familiar?"

Yoruichi's interest in Gilgamesh grew.

She felt that Gilgamesh was a huge enigma, waiting for her to unravel it piece by piece.

Without lingering any longer, Yoruichi began to wander around Inuzuri.

Gradually, she was filled with shock.

She couldn't believe that this place, where everyone smiled and was full of hope and vitality, was the 78th district of South Rukongai.

From people's conversations, she learned that all of this was thanks to Gilgamesh.

It was Gilgamesh who had transformed Inuzuri from a dead, chaotic place into what it was now.

Yoruichi could sense from their conversations the genuine recognition, respect, and love people had for Gilgamesh.

Suddenly, Yoruichi remembered what Rukia had said earlier.

"Building an ideal kingdom."

Initially, Yoruichi didn't take it seriously.

She knew it was impossible to establish a kingdom in the Soul Society.

If nothing else, the self-serving noble families would never allow it.

Even if the kingdom was in Rukongai, which they scorned.

But now, Yoruichi's thoughts wavered.

It wasn't that she believed Gilgamesh could succeed in building a kingdom.

But she began to wonder, if Gilgamesh did succeed, could he bring new vitality to Rukongai?

The thought of Gilgamesh establishing a kingdom where everyone was happy, hopeful, and vibrant stirred a feeling within her—a desire to help him achieve it.

However, she quickly quelled this impulse.

Her serious cat face couldn't hide her shock and astonishment.

Yoruichi hadn't expected Gilgamesh's charm to be so powerful that she would unknowingly develop a sense of allegiance.

Not daring to stay any longer, Yoruichi set off back to the world of the living.

She needed time to calm her thoughts and planned to research human history.

She wanted to see if there was a king named Gilgamesh and a kingdom called Uruk in human history.
