In Fairy Tail, starts with a Super Mega Gengar

Chapter 48: Chapter 48: Hades: Eliminate Ultear

Watching Rustyrose devoid of life, both Ur and Gildarts remained silent.

Yet, they were genuinely surprised to see Rustyrose's soul being extracted.

They never expected that Gaal would have any involvement with such magic.

Gildarts couldn't help but frown as he observed Gaal, who was pressing a hand against Rustyrose's forehead, seemingly searching through his memories.

He finally spoke up, "Gaal, it's better not to use soul magic too often. Don't get too immersed in it. If the Council finds out, it would be troublesome."

The magic council had a strict stance against soul magic, comparable to their stance against dark mages.

Over the years on the Ishgar Continent, there had been many mages who fancied eternal life; soul magic was seen as a shortcut to achieve it, which had caused numerous disasters in the past.

However, as the legend of the dark mage Zeref continued to spread, many had turned to demons to research immortality, leading to a significant decrease in mages studying soul magic.

As Gaal released his hand from Rustyrose's soul, he had quickly scanned through all of Rustyrose's recent memories.

Raising his hand, he swept it, collecting Rustyrose's soul and body into the space, "I know. It's just faster this way."

Of course, there was one crucial point Gaal didn't mention: the 'Arc of Embodiment' magic was his true aim.

Unlike the 'Historia of the Dead' magic used by Neinhart from the Spriggan 12, which could embody strong enemies that the caster had opposed or powerful foes that had produced a shadow, the embodied individual must be deceased, and their strength could not exceed that of the caster.

If the embodied person felt fear or retreated, they would directly dissipate.

The 'Arc of Embodiment', on the other hand, could manifest various things based on the caster's thoughts.

Similar to the Sacred Guardian Beast, Belcusas the Thunderclap, and Belfast the Hurricane, although these creatures did not exist in history, they were recorded in the legends of some eastern countries on the Ishgar Continent.

While a long time ago and unverifiable, Rustyrose could still summon these two sacred beasts based on legends and collected information.

Compared to the conditions required for other summoning magics, the 'Arc of Embodiment' only needed complete information and must conform to the rules of the world to manifest.

This is the terrifying aspect of the 'Arc of Embodiment'.

In this world, while there were magic spells to control the deceased, there was a significant difference compared to the necromancy Gaal remembered.

Whether necromancy could be executed depended on the 'Arc of Embodiment'; the bone dragon was a valuable resource.

He recalled a dragon graveyard filled with fresh bones of dragons that had died just a few hundred years ago.

But the time wasn't right yet. Being in front of Gildarts and Ur made it impossible to attempt such things.

Gaal turned to Ur, asking, "Is the Life Card still with you?"

Ur nodded and replied, "Yes." She then took out the Life Card from the pendant at his chest.

The Life Card was vibrating pretty frequently, signaling that they were getting closer.

Gaal said, "The direction is right. However, since Hades discovered you were searching for Ultear, he has sent her away. There's an island off the coast of Carmu where the R System is under construction. Hades sent out Stinger and Ultear to deal with this. He personally came to quietly eliminate you. This way, Ultear won't suspect anything. It's just that we have disrupted their plans, Hades has probably already contacted Stinger."

That guy Hades fled before Gildarts, and he should have returned to the Devil's Heart by now.

Ur's expression tightened, and he said urgently, "Then let's hurry. We don't want Ultear to be taken away again."

Gildarts also nodded, "Indeed. It would be even better if we could find the location of the R System. Report to the Council... perhaps we won't have to pay for it."

Gildarts couldn't help but grimace, staring at the 'sun' gradually fading in the distance. With the extent of destruction caused, he doubted if he could cover the costs even after completing all the quests from the Fiore Kingdom.

At least, there was a reason behind it. He would explain to the Council that it was all the dark guild's doing and try to shift the blame onto them.

Gaal nodded, "Mm. You all hold on tight."

Gildarts and Ur sat down as Lyon looked a bit nervous, quickly grabbing the handrail next to him.

Gaal turned to Dragonite and said, "Dragonite, accelerate."

The Dragonite pulling the cable car let out a roar, sending out a faint blue psychic wave that enveloped its body, then spreading along the rope, covering the cable car they were in as well.

Buzzing—

The sound of rapid wing beats filled the air as their flying speed instantly increased, a blue streak of light cutting across the sky toward the southwest.

---

On the other side, on the island where the R System was being constructed, after successfully withstanding several waves of tsunami-induced giant waves, Stinger and Ultear took advantage of the chaos caused by the tsunami to rush into the port, looking for a magical speedboat.

After previously having seven R Systems destroyed, the Dark Magic Guild had ample experience.

The port contained many magical speedboats, and if the Council were to discover them again, the core technical personnel would prioritize evacuating on these boats.

Stinger and Ultear split up to search for the speedboats.

At this moment, Stinger's communicator lit up again. He answered, "Lord Hades."

Hades's voice came through, "Where are you now? Is Ultear beside you?"

Stinger replied, "We are at the port, preparing to set sail. Ultear is searching for magical speedboats on the other side."

There was a moment of silence on Hades's end, and then he coldly ordered, "Eliminate Ultear. You can't stop those from Fairy Tail; I won't waste my resources on training talent for them. Find a place to deal with Ultear and leave immediately."

Initially, Hades didn't intend to eliminate Ultear, but the more he thought about it after hanging up, the more he felt it was wrong.

Stinger's strength was insufficient to confront Gildarts, not to mention Ur and Gaal, who had many tricks up his sleeve.

There was no way to keep Ultear around.

Since she couldn't be kept, then she must be destroyed. Stinger's mind made up, he glanced at Ultear, who had already spotted a magical speedboat and was waving at him. He spoke into the communicator, "Understood."

Stinger had no doubts about Hades's orders. Hanging up the communicator, he expressionlessly walked towards Ultear.

Seeing Stinger approach, Ultear pointed at a large magical speedboat, saying, "Let's take this one; it's the latest model on the market and can trigger a magical shield to withstand the waves."

Looking at the large magical speedboat, Stinger shook his head and said, "No, it's too conspicuous. The waves are no concern. Let's go with those two smaller ones, one for each of us."

Ultear couldn't help but wonder who from the Legal Guild had arrived, being so cautious... but she didn't voice any objections. Following Stinger, they both found a small speedboat and started the engines to leave the island.

Moments later, the island behind them had turned into a small black dot, disappearing from view. Stinger suddenly increased the throttle of the magical speedboat and called out, "Ultear."

Ultear, who was in front driving the magical speedboat, turned in confusion and replied, "Hmm?"

Stinger, who was driving the other speedboat, caught up and lightly tapped her shoulder, his voice indifferent as he said, "You... still can't fly, right?"
