And that's all folks! Every single present has been delivered and it was exhausting. There were some close calls with parents or animals detecting me when I enter their homes, but I can say with pride no one saw me tonight.
...
Ok... maybe a few kids waiting for me in front of their chimneys saw me, but its all good.
Now with all the gifts delivered this is the part when the reindeer take us to the north pole, which has me curious, how does the north pole stay hidden in a Marvel universe?
In the film Santa's workshop is shown being beneath the ice and that might work in a more normal universe, but this is Marvel where certain technology is more advance. If in the film a weather plane could hear music coming from the workshop what about a Stark industries plane, or even a Wakandan satellite?
My best hope is that Santa's work shop exists in another dimension or that is so far down in the ice one would have to detonate a nuke for any type of indication of life below.
Regardless we are about to find out. The reindeer land on the snow in what appears to be the middle of nowhere.
"Guys were did you land us?"
"Dad I think this might be the north pole"
"Charlie, I might agree with you except there is nothing around us other than snow and ice."
It was at this point that we noticed something shining under the moon light
"Dad what is that?"
"I don't now Charlie"
Then one of the reindeer toward the front huffs at us and we look at him, he raises one of his hoofs and stomps on the ground twice. Seeing that he was trying to get our attention, we got out of the sleigh and walked toward him. I noticed on his harness that his name was Comet.
"what is it Comet? you want us to walk over to the shiny light?"
He huffs again and then with the sound of jingling bells they all burst into sparkling silver lights
"wow dad they just disappeared!?!"
" I see that Charlie, I guess our only option is to check out that light in the distance"
Once we reached the light we realized that is was a candy-cane pole embedded in the grown with a crystal miniature of a present on top. I grabbed the miniature and pulled the pole up as it rises from the ground we heard a click noise, then silver light surrounded us and we were found within a hall.
"Hello sirs welcome to Santa's workshop"
As we turn around standing there is Judy smiling at us.
"If you could please follow me, we shall go see the head elf, Bernard, there is much to talk about"
Me and Charlie look at each other then we follow her into a large open workshop. All around us are elves walking all around with several at workstations. On the other side of the workshop we can see the sleigh being lowered by a lift. On the floors above us there are more workstations and several doors each labeled, such as the ball room, action figure station, and woodworking.
Once we exit the hall Judy walks up to an elf who appears to be Bernard she whispers something to him, which he acknowledges and turns around to leave. Bernard walks up to us and offers his hand.
"Hello gentlemen, my name is Bernard and we have much to talk about"
"O? Hello, Bernard what is there to talk about?"
"Well... there is a small issue. Despite you accepting the clause you can't be Santa"
...
"WHAT!?!?" I shout. I wasn't expecting this. I was willing to become Santa to avoid the months of scrutiny old Scot faced in the film.
Bernard holds up his hands "Hold on what I mean is while you did put on the suit and accept the clause its been a long time since a human has been Santa Claus. Only the original Saint Nick was human the others that followed were all manifestations of the Christmas spirit and while embarrassing there is a few changes you will have to go through."
O no..."ok so now what?"
[Warning! Warning! The Santa Clause protocol is still in effect. system reboot and update required. System shutdown. System will be fully online by; approximate time... week before Christmas 1991]
As I stand there reading the alert from the system Bernard continues with his explanation about the workshop and then says
"In the meantime you should take Charlie home and then use the remaining time to get your affairs in order."
"... ok... Merry Christmas"
"Merry Christmas"
