Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

Draxus had already went towards the center of the enemy base through the use of his [Chariot]. He looked around while avoiding the attacks of various enemies without using much mana, inside the city hall was a girl with long azure hair and armor that doesn't match every single enemy. Her armor was damaged to some extent and battered quite badly. She was like a maiden in distress but her knightly attire and weapon that has a similar color to her hair changes most things. "Crystalline Prince coming through!" Draxus summoned multiple ice spikes from above and rained it down to the surrounding enemies. He didn't give much chances for the enemies to land attacks and simply struck their limbs with ice spikes. After that, he instantly froze the ground entirely with [Crystal Groundwork], causing most soldiers to slip. He then ran towards the princess who was being pulled by the commander of the army. "She's fairly resisting but there seems to be something placed on her neck." Draxus after noticing the item on the neck, rushed forward to the inside of the building where the commander had pulled the girl with azure hair.

After finally arriving to the building, he found the girl with azure hair was placed in some sort of cage. "Stay in there and give us a nice sight before the hero comes back to use you." Draxus brought out another card which was different from the other one. "[Fortune Card IV - Emperor]!" [Emperor] brings out an aura where a person feels challenged by Draxus. He targeted every single army member within the town to charge into the building and fight him. He then brought four more fortune cards and activated all of it. "[Fortune Card III - Empress, VIII - Justice, XI - Strength, XV - Devil]!" [Empress] increases his perception abilities, [Strength] increases his strength, [Devil] increases his magic capabilities, and [Justice] allows him to balance his capabilities depending on the number of enemies that are fighting him. [Emperor] is the card that is mostly a demerit just by its use. It attracts every single enemy that's targeted and could cause him to be swarmed down. The rest of the cards that he had activated will cause him to be extremely sluggish once all of them have been deactivated. He kicked away the commander and entered the cage where the azure haired girl was resisting the order of showing her body. Draxus then brought out multiple magic circles from the collar and twisted them. The girl stared at his concentrated glowing eyes while slowly tearing up in fear of the men peering at her with dirty eyes. "There's no need to worry..." Draxus, after making magic circle adjustments, completely broke the collar into pieces. "I, Draxus Heimdall, will protect you." He caressed her head gently and looked at her azure eyes with his gentle gaze. The girl muttered and called him out with a small voice. "D-Draxus... Heimdal..." Her eyes were focused onto him as he left the cage for a bit. "Looks like the guests are here, time to give them the reception..." Draxus brought out a pair of gauntlets that had a white-ish plating and azure lines connecting from the central crystal which is found on the back wrists of each gauntlet. "[Kessaku]! Come at me!" Draxus loudly taunted every single enemy that surrounded him to kill him. Twenty enemies immediately charged towards Draxus's position. Each of them wielded a simple sword and shield that was the military equipment. Two crystal swords were created as Draxus began avoiding attacks from enemies while landing a strike on each one. Ice spikes generated from the ground and pierced through many soldiers. After the crystal swords broke from clashing with metal swords, Draxus took the floating shards with wind magic and blew them around wildly, inflicting minor damage to the soldiers surrounding him. He then used the gauntlets and struck the bodies of various soldiers. He gripped the head of one soldier and moved it to the other direction to be used as a shield. He then generated ice spikes to fall down in a certain spot to thin the numbers in that direction. "[Gathering Wind]" He used wind magic to gather and blow away the enemies from another direction, slowing them down effectively. He then erupted spiky glaciers towards another direction to joust and pierce through the enemies from that area. He then created a crystal claymore and hung it over his back. "I had improved my [Icy Diluc] tactic ever since that day, so have a taste of this! [Kingfisher]!" A crystallized kingfisher that was formed from Draxus's large swing flew towards one direction and pierced through most enemies and pushed them back. He then continued to eliminate the soldiers that are coming closer even with the thinned out numbers. "A little breather would be fine but eh." Draxus slashed the incoming soldiers with the crystal claymore skillfully. After some time killing off the enemies by using various kinds of magic, he had already cleared off more than half of the enemy soldiers in the town. Piles of dead bodies were visible on the floors of the building, which Draxus blew off by using wind magic. "Seems like [Emperor] has worn off, I guess I got myself a short break." Behind him, was the female knight who had azure blue hair and eyes staring blankly at him. He turned around to look at her who was sitting down without much strength on her legs. "You okay? There doesn't seem to be a lot of enemies that are heading here for the time being, so we have margin to talk." The female knight revealed a surprised expression and answered with a flustered voice. "F-Fua! Yes! W-Who are you?" Draxus sent a gentle smile towards the knight and answered. "My name is Draxus Heimdal, I am an [Otherworlder], I was transferred to this world through some high tier magic." The girl widened her eyes and muttered the name once more as if trying to fully memorize it. "Draxus Heimdal..." When Draxus heard that, he asked her of her origins this time. "Ah! I am Matilda Regio Paladia, the princess of the country." When Draxus finally remembered Arlesk's words of the princess being taken as hostage, he immediately went to business. "Ah, then after this battle, I would like you to guide us to the royal capital, we rushed here after hearing the news of an invading country taking over this town. But we're here as envoys of Quisterion who will be accepting an alliance with your country." The princess knight widened her eyes as she stood up a little. "A-Are you part of Quisterion?" Just as she asked that question, more soldiers finally arrived inside the building. "Hmm... I'll tell you the details after this fight, just stay there alright? I'll keep you safe." Draxus stepped closer and caressed her head gently before turning around once again. Since four fortune cards are still active, he was actually taxing himself heavily. He was only able to use them because he drank a full liter of liquid mana before he entered the warzone. He took out a small bottle of liquid mana from interdimensional storage and drank it quickly. "Come at me!" Draxus then threw the bottle towards the soldiers which dealt minor injury to one person. He then bumped his gauntlets together as if taunting them.

After a long process of striking, slashing, blowing off, piercing, and throwing enemies around. Draxus was finally begin to feel the burden of having four fortune cards. However, the number of enemies was finally thinning down. He made one last push over his own powers as he had all four cards active for one hour straight overall. After killing a few enemies, he ended up kneeling down to the ground which got Matilda worried. "Draxus!" There were five soldiers that were about to attack him which got her to forcefully stand up. "I can't let him die!" Those words filled up Matilda's mind but she was already too late. For one second, she heard certain words that came from Draxus. "Victory..." And heard another voice that was loud overlapping it. "[Chronopause]!" In her view, the five men were suddenly blown away with dents in their bodies and armor. One person holding a sickle connected to a chain and a ball then stood in front of Draxus offering him a hand. "Perfect timing as always Keith." Draxus took the hand that was offered to him and stood up. After dispelling the cards, his body completely turned sluggish to the point where it's normally impossible to do anything. But he exerted the last of his strength to at least accompany Matilda back. He entered the cage once again and offered her his hand. "Shall we head back?" Draxus secretly took out the revolver on his left hand that was behind him and shot Keith on the foot with a rubber bullet as he was trying to record them. Matilda smiled happily took his hand and answered with a radiant smile as her azure hair waved. "Mhm!"

Keith was able to perfectly capture the image of Draxus who was charmed in surprise.
