Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

The [Hero of Balance] noticed a sudden challenging presence flow over him. Because of that small opening where he flinched, Arlesk immediately launched a preemptive strike. "Where do you think you're looking? As I said, your enemy is me!" A large slash was blocked by the white side of the glaive. As the [Hero of Balance] immediately tried to attack with the other end of the glaive. Arlesk dodged it smoothly as the hero tried to attack more with the black blade of the glaive. All strikes were dodged by hairsbreadth and were very close on damaging Arlesk's battle clothes. The large armor then had small boosters found on the back, it then blew off some steam as it began dashing to the side at a speed that's difficult to percieve for Arlesk. "Kuhh!" Arlesk continued to dodge in hairsbreadth as he began taking scratches from the white blade. He clearly avoided the black one as he had premonitions of it being a weapon that will poison him. [Capricorn] is the skill that will continuously boost his capabilities which allow him to at least catch up eventually to the enemy hero's sudden explosive power. After dodging many times, his capabilities had reached to the same level as the hero in heavy armor. The series of exchanges with clashing weapons had continued. "You can only dodge can you? It's great that you're finally entertaining me!" Arlesk brought out his gun and shot a few bullets towards the armor, it left some dents but most of them were deflected. "Was that a ranged attack? Too bad! No range attack can pierced through my armor!" Despite being fully covered in armor, the enemy hero twisted its body and tried to slash Arlesk repeatedly with his glaive. But because of the steadily increasing speed Arlesk has, he dodged and parried every single attack quite smoothly. There were no more attacks that were dodged by hairsbreadth and the enemy hero didn't notice it due to the enjoyment Arlesk had brought him. "I'm enjoying this! To face a powerful enemy once more! I shall enjoy every second until I kill you!" The glaive was swung downward as the hero exclaimed his joy. Arlesk defended by receiving the full downward strike with his mithril sword and held it back to some extent. "You won't be able to match me with this!" The hero was pushing Arlesk's mithril sword down slowly as Arlesk muttered something. "This is why I used [Terra]..." The ground started shaking and then two walls were erected from the ground. It was a layer of hardened dirt that's ten centimeters thick from both sides of the hero, he was then smashed by the two walls that collided. The arms didn't get detached but as the dirt fell down to the ground, small holes and large dents can be found on the armor. "People like you who enjoy battles, will be placed under annihilation." Arlesk started creating a large piece of hardened rock while the enemy hero was enraged. "To damage my armor...?!" Both black and white blades of the glaive began to glow dangerous auras as the armor begins to regenerate rapidly and unleash dark shadows aiming for Arlesk. He dashed back and avoided the shadows which began to chase him. After making a few dodges, the shadows spread from its path and tried to cut off Arlesk. After noticing that he has no routes to escape, Arlesk poured a lot of mana into his sword and made it glow brightly. It began to absorb the surrounding light at a rapid rate which increased its glow. After it reached a certain point, Arlesk slashed off every shadow and dashed towards the enemy hero who was trying to regenerate the armor. He sliced off other shadows that are flying directly into him without much trouble. After closing the distance, the hero tried to swing his glaive but was parried. Arlesk then used the hardened stone that he had created to smash the armor of the hero. A large hole was made in the armor which exposed the body of the hero. Arlesk with his telekinesis created a stalagmite quickly and penetrated his side. "Gah!! Sh-" Arlesk who noticed something was up immediately dashed back as dark energy gathered on the black blade of the glaive. "[Shadow Blast]!" The hero blasted shadow energy from its position which hit Arlesk even if he dashed backwards. Both of them then disappeared to a different dimensional rift.

In a world where the dimensions are unknown, Arlesk stood up and immediately examined his surroundings. The area was completely made up of nothing but space. It was like being sent to a different world where the floor and walls didn't exist. Arlesk floated a little and tried to make movements as if he's flying without wings. He then saw the enemy hero still clad with monotone armor. However, a black and white aura was oozing off from it. "Welcome, to my dimensional battlefield." The hero flew around with a quick pace and swung his glaive to immediately try and kill Arlesk. It was hastily blocked as the speed was almost incomprehensible. There was no earth to to perform telekinesis which got Arlesk in a pretty terrible position. Even if he is pushed down, Arlesk simply went under and tried to land a slash after moving behind the hero. It was splendidly dodged without much effort. "Fool, in this dimension, your capabilities will be halved and mine will be doubled!" Arlesk made an internal retort in his mind, making him remember something pretty weird. He dispelled [Terra] and [Scorpio] since they will be expending any unnecessary mana for the skill the abilities he's going to use next. "[Stellar Planetaria N Zodiac]! [Saturnus]!" Four halos surrounding Arlesk had been created. Each one protected him like a matrix as Arlesk prepared another ability. "[Stellar Planetaria N Zodiac]! [Virgo]!" Another protective barrier was created to ensure Arlesk's protection. He then forced a clash between them by dashing closer. The enemy hero blocked the approaching sword and spat out words as if he's clearly superior. "As I said! You will never defeat me in this dimension!" Both of them flickered away and repositioned themselves before performing a decisive blow. "It's been fun hero." Arlesk lowered his stance and his position to ensure that he will take the advantage. But in reality, he's actually taunting the hero to lower himself and equalize the height level in which is actually working. "Seems like you're ready to die, betting everything in one blow like that. To be able to make me use this, tell me. Who are you?" The hero smiled as if he's sure of the victory. "Arlesk Finlay." Arlesk simply responded by giving his name as they equalize in height position. "I see, time for you to die! Arlesk!" The hero flew forward at a comprehensible speed as Arlesk's [Luna] finally caught up. He then blocked the incoming glaive and resisted with every bit of his power. "I will kill and remember how much struggle I have to get!" With every bit of rage poured into Arlesk, he simply shrugged every anger the hero had and let out calm words. "Goodbye, [Saturnus Expand]" Within seconds, the matrix barrier expanded widely and pass through the armor of the hero. At the start, the hero didn't understand what Arlesk had done, but after some time, he finally realized that his armor was meaninglessly bypassed and was cut into pieces. "I-Impossible...!" He let out a mutter as he bled to death and unable to supply the mana. The dimensional rift had finally started to dissolve,+ Arlesk finally found the sunlight as everything cracked and dispersed. He then found the knights pushing back the enemies. He dispelled [Saturnus] before causing collateral damage and rushed toward the front line. "The enemy hero has been slain! Press forward!" He shouted with a loud voice as their group went towards the town and reclaim it.

After the knights and everyone else finally retake the town, Draxus and Arlesk had returned to the carriage and both of them were found lying down flat on the grass. "How much did you use Drax?" Arlesk was the first one to ask how it went. "Four cards one hour straight. I just wanna pass out and sleep for days." Draxus let out a groan as he looked extremely tired. "Same man, keeping all those abilities active for extended periods of time is taxing as heck. Let's not report that we got fairly exhausted to Serkyrio." The rest of the members are talking with each other as things get into the flow. The hero of Paladia, Pantheon Eroe, was standing behind the king princess which is Matilda as she discussed with Olivia regarding the alliance. "We're grateful for the assistance of retaking this town. Princess Olivia, I don't know how we could repay you for the valiant actions of your people." Matilda and Pantheon bowed down to her, but she gracefully told them to raise their heads and not worry about it. "There's no need to think about it that much, the actions were done by their goodwill." Olivia turned her gaze to Draxus who was lying down flat on the ground. Pantheon became curious of their abilities since Arlesk killed the enemy hero, and Draxus stood and fought against thousands of enemies while defending Matilda. "Just who are these people...? They don't even perform chants, and that blonde guy even killed the hero I was having trouble fighting against." Olivia smiled and gave them a full explanation. "They're are [Otherworlders] who are summoned here by our royal magicians. These two are part of an unnamed group that was lead by someone way stronger than them. Under that person was these two and one more who remained in the castle of Quisterion to perform research. It was shown to us that the strength of those four had far surpassed the heroes." Pantheon turned his gaze at the two and narrowed his eyes. "[Far surpassed] you say? It's a good thing that we're forming an alliance. But are they really part of the Quisterion kingdom?" Olivia shook her head a little before answering. "They nominated themselves to become the messengers that would accompany me, by the way, I'm glad that Princess Matilda is safe." Matilda who was staring at Draxus got surprised as she was suddenly called out. "Fue?! Ah! Yes, it's thanks to Sir Draxus who protected me from such an army... Alone..." Matilda was beginning to smile as if she was a blooming flower. "That's great, as Draxus's fiancee, that makes me happy." In that instant, the blooming flower got petrified and withered. "I-Is that so...?" Draxus who heard the conversation immediately made an internal retort. "I feel like I've seen this kind of interaction before..." Olivia smiled and held Matilda's hand. "Would you like to discuss this with me in private? It's going to be more like girl's talk so Pantheon Eroe, can I borrow her for a moment." Pantheon grinned a little before nodding in response. Olivia took Matilda towards Lily and Julie as they began discussing. Arlesk grinned a little and let out a comment that Draxus couldn't allow to let it slide. "New member of the harem...! Congratulations Drax...!" Draxus couldn't move his body due to the sluggish compensation of the four fortune cards. "Go fuck yourself Arlesk...!"
