Since coming to the Marvel world, Michael never thought he would have only one woman, especially after starting the missions.
There were many outstanding and charming women who attracted Michael. For him, it would be a pity to give up any one of them.
"Although I can't promise I will always be by your side, I promise to handle other things as soon as possible and make more time to be with you."
"Okay."
Carol responded softly.
Michael leaned down slightly, and Carol seemed to sense something, slowly raising her head and closing her eyes.
Romantic and heart-tingling, it was hard to describe what that feeling was like. For Carol, this was her first experience, and it made her realize how wonderful it could be.
Boom!
Just when they were lost in the moment, a loud noise suddenly jolted Carol and Michael back to reality.
Carol looked around in panic and soon noticed something happening on the street near the park.
"It looks like there was a car accident. Let's go check it out!"
Carol said to Michael, then ran over. Michael, surprised by Carol's proactive response, hurriedly followed.
When Michael caught up, he found that Carol had been taken hostage. A group of armed men were holding her and facing off against the police nearby.
Clearly, although there was a car accident here, it was not the main cause of the scene!
"Is this to make me complete my mission?" Michael thought, slightly exasperated. He wasn't worried about Carol's safety; he was confident he could handle it!
The police were caught off guard by Carol's sudden appearance and her being taken hostage by these criminals. When they saw Michael arriving, they wanted to warn him to leave quickly. However, the criminals' firepower was so overwhelming that the police couldn't even peek out and could only shout to Michael from behind cover.
"Run, get out of here!"
Carol, though unexpectedly taken hostage, wasn't panicking. When she saw Michael approaching, she still managed to call out a warning to him.
One of the criminals noticed Michael and pointed his gun at him, "Go away, or I'll shoot!"
"Don't worry, Carol. I'll save you." Michael reassured her with a calm smile as he slowly walked forward.
As he got closer, the criminal attempted to grab him. But just as he extended his hand, a dark green light appeared around Michael, enveloping him like a shield. Suddenly, the same light surrounded Carol, and the bandit holding her was thrown back by the force!
The sudden change left everyone in shock.
Michael looked at the stunned criminal and said calmly, "You said you'd shoot me? Sorry... you're not capable of that." As he finished speaking, a massive dark green fist materialized and sent the criminal flying. At this point, the other criminals reacted, firing a hail of bullets at Michael.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The bullets hit Michael's energy shield and scattered harmlessly. He waved his hand, and countless green daggers materialized, each striking down the criminals with unerring accuracy.
"Ahhh!"
The criminals screamed as they fell to the ground.
Michael approached Carol and asked gently, "Are you alright?"
"Who... who are you?" Carol asked, shaken.
Michael looked at the criminals on the ground, then at the astonished police officers, and said with a smile, "I'm still me, but I have the powers of a Green Lantern. So, you could say... I'm a Green Lantern."
"Green Lantern?"
"I'll explain more later. Right now, we should leave."
With a smile, Michael wrapped an arm around Carol's waist and lifted her into the air. The dark green light around them shone brightly, and in seconds, they were flying away.
"Did you hear that? He called himself Green Lantern!"
"Yeah, he's a superhero! I can't believe it!"
Before long, news of the Green Lantern stopping a gang spread across the streets and even began trending online.
"System, that should complete my mission, right? Side quest: be a hero, save a beauty, and get famous."
[Yes!]
"Good."
Although it wasn't a world-ending crisis, taking down these criminals was enough for Michael. His main goal was simply to make people aware that Green Lantern existed. After all, he wasn't here to play the hero for long—just enough to complete his mission!
Michael brought Carol to a secluded beach, landing gently.
Carol still looked a bit shaken.
"Don't be afraid. I'm still me, not an alien. I just have some special abilities, and they come from this ring." Michael explained softly, telling Carol about the Green Lantern Ring and its origin.
This reassured Carol. She was even more fascinated, "I'm not scared, just surprised. My first boyfriend is a superhero. It's incredible!"
"There's something even better I can show you." Michael said with a smile, "Would you like to see what space looks like?"
"Space? You mean…" Carol looked at him with wide-eyed excitement. Before she could finish, Michael had already formed an energy shield around them, and they took off.
They soon left the atmosphere, emerging into the vastness of space. Carol looked at the Earth below in awe and then at the endless stars around them. Hugging Michael tightly, she kissed him deeply.
"In China, there's a legend about the moon. A fairy named Chang'e is said to live there. While I know there's no palace or fairy on the moon… well, there is a beautiful fairy here, and her name is Carol!" Michael said with a smile, guiding them toward the moon.
Michael used his energy to create a soft, floating bed, and the two lay down, surrounded by a serene green glow.
"How beautiful!" Michael murmured.
Carol nodded, "Yes, it's breathtaking. I never thought I'd be on the moon."
"No, I mean you're beautiful." He said, leaning down to kiss her.
They stayed like that for a while, until Carol, dazed, said softly, "This is… the most amazing experience of my life."
"Would you like to make it even more wonderful and unforgettable?" Michael asked gently, "I may have to leave tomorrow, and it'll be at least a month before I can come back…"
Carol shyly averted her gaze but didn't refuse.
Michael moved gently, removing Carol's clothes piece by piece. Looking at her nervous expression, he kissed her softly, leaning in to give her an experience she would never forget.
