Koushin: Konoha’s Dragonborn[Completed]

“Good morning, Hinata, Kakashi Sensei!” I greeted the duo as they walked from two opposite sides. To my surprise, Kakashi was on time. “Did the old lady, cat, and your lover die since you are on time? Well, there is also traffic, and what else?”

“Haha!” Kakashi mockingly laughed as he rolled his eye. “Let’s go. Hokage-Sama is waiting.”

We entered and were greeted by Jiraya at the window and Tsunade at her desk. Beside her was Shizune, looking at us with a smile. Nice woman Shizune is. Loyal and warm. I want to protect her.

“Team 7!” Hokage said, as she looked at us. “This time, you are going to be separated.”

“Huh? Why?” Naruto asked in annoyance. “Haven’t we just got back? I missed my Hinata already.”

“Oh, you are so sweet!” Shizune commented from the side only to shut her trap when received a lethal look from Tsunade.

“Naruto, you know the Akatsuki right?” Jiraiya asked. Kakashi and I shivered involuntarily as we heard the name.

“Those nutjobs Kakashi Sensei and Kou had beaten, right?” Naruto asked as he scratched the back of his head. “What about them?”

“Well, they are after you. They soon will be, anyway.” Jiraiya said unceremoniously.

“Because of Kur- Kyuubi?” Naruto asked as he cursed under his breath.

“Yes. I came upon strange information on my trip after I looked more into Orochimaru’s dealings and found out that at one point in time he too dealt with this mysterious group. Their numbers are a total mystery but one thing is very clear…

…They all are extremely strong.” He sighed helplessly.

“How strong?” Kakashi asked.

“Itachi is one of them.” To that, Kakashi, Naruto, and Hinata’s eyes dilated to the limit. They could still remember the massacre after Sasuke’s funeral, how Itachi killed Danzo single-handedly while still battling against tens of Anbu and Third Hokage. If they couldn’t grasp his strength at the time, they could now. Itachi was ridiculously strong.

“They are going after all 9 Jinchuuriki to remove Bijuu from their hosts. For what? I am not sure, but one thing is certain, we cannot let them.” The Toad Sannin said gravely.

“So your plan is to take Naruto away from the village to protect him?” I asked with a scoff.

“I am strong enough to protect him and if we are on the road, it is harder for us to be found.” Jiraiya looked offended but still answered. He knew Naruto would listen to me, and thus wanted to convince me.

“Koushin!” Kakashi and Tsunade snapped at the same time, but I didn’t stop.

“How much stronger are you from Third Hokage?” I asked.

“Not very much.” Jiraiya accepted honestly. He could overpower him if he used Sage Mode, but it takes time and it is not convenient for escorting.

“One of those maniacs battled against Danshit and Saru at the same time and killed one of them. So tell me, if five of them or more appear in front of you, can you really protect Naruto?” I asked with a squint. Jiraiya might be dependable but this world is different. In the original series, Itachi was still loyal to the village and many times he helped Jiraya and Kohona underhandedly. This time, things were different. I don’t even know if the 4th Mizukage died or not as I saw Juzo.

Since Juzo was alive, they might never have attacked Yagura, and to be honest, Chunin don’t get too much information about other villages. So I still don’t know if Yagura died or not. I also can’t ask, because I shouldn’t even know if he is in danger or not. Since it is so, it only means things are different in this version. Am I regretting it? Of course not. I live in this world now, and I will live as I want. Fuck the consequences. I will deal with them as they come.

“What do you suggest then?” Jiraiya asked in mild anger. “We sit here and wait for them to attack?”

“I mean before Naruto?” I grinned. She realized and looked at Naruto.

“Right, although many people in this world know the existence of Tengu, we still didn’t know they had a secret village of their own, and they could be contracted. Letting Naruto go there is safer than letting him roam free.” Tsunade held her chin, as she muttered.

“If I recall correctly, they also had many other things they wanted to teach Naruto but because of the Chunin Exam, he had to return,” I added.

“Right! Chief Tengu said he could teach me seals and the wind element too. I really want to go back!” Naruto chirped in excitement. “But what about Hinata?”

“Naruto, you have to let Hinata train too. You can’t always protect her.” I said sternly.

“And what if she doesn’t want to be protected?” I asked with a frown. He looked at Hinata and saw the resolution on her dainty face.

“Naruto, I want to get stronger and stand by your side, not behind you,” Hinata said. “Please focus on your training and let me do the same.”

"Where will you go?" Naruto asked as he held her hands.

"I am not sure yet, maybe I can find a contract of my own," Hinata muttered.

"I wanted to accept a few students. Sakura and Ino are among them. Would you like to join them?" Tsunade asked.

"May I cut in?" I asked as Hinata was about to accept. Tsunade looked at me as if she wanted to strangle me but she raised her hand to permit me to speak. "Hinata and Ino are not suitable for your techniques, Hokage-Sama. Sakura is another story, but Ino cultivates Yin Chakra. Her techniques are related to the mind not healing. Although she is good at Healing, it doesn't mean she can take your mantle.

Hinata on the other hand, although can learn from you, is still too soft to execute your deadly techniques that require hesitation-free attacks. Hinata is not suitable. Forgive me for saying this, but you will ruin their potential."

"Koushin, you are speaking to Hokage. Not only is she one of the Legendary Sannin, but she is also an excellent Kunoichi. I am sure she can manage different students." Kakashi softly reprimanded.

"Then it is settled, I will talk with Hiashi and let Hinata find her summon too.”

“Good.” I nodded, and turned to Jiraiya, “I have one more recommendation, for Jiraiya.”

“What is it?” He snorted, obviously not happy that I took his chance to bond with Naruto.

“I know the perfect student for you. Not only can you teach your sealing art, you can even help him get out of his shell. You too, Kakashi Sensei, I have the perfect student for you as well.” I smirked. I have lofty plans, for all the genins! Well except useless ones, and those I don’t care about.

“You are gonna teach everyone, aren’t you?” Tsunade shook her head, “Whatever. So long as you make the village stronger.”

“Thank you, Fifth-sama. Then let me speak to them and give them a training regimen. If they follow it strictly, by the time Naruto and I return, this village will have 9 more strong kunoichi and shinobi.”
