“It is hard to act like an edge-lord.” I sighed as I looked at the battlefield filled with dead Daedra bodies covering as far as the eye could see. I had to though, as this was how Princes of Oblivion acted. If I had been merciful or listless, I still would have conquered Shivering Isles, but their respect wouldn't be from the heart. That would be troublesome, wouldn’t it. Meh, I just want to get this over with.

“Master, we had killed the traitors.” Silva reported. After the battle, she took her trusted minions to kill those who went into hiding. When Haskill died, some ran away, and they had to be killed or that was what Silva said.

“Good job, Silva.” I nodded as I walked to Haskill’s body. I mentally selected the Search option and a list of items appeared on my face. At the same time a smile crept up to my beautiful face.

“Perk Points! Yes! SCOOORE!” I started to dance awkwardly while my new minions were questioning their judgment, but that wasn’t all. I saw something interesting in the list.

“Take all!” I commanded and a key appeared in my hand then it melted into a wisp of energy. As soon as it did, I felt a foreign energy entering my body, filling my groins where my Chakra stored. “What is this?”

“Silva.” I called out as soon as I finished reading the new ability.

“Master?” She knelt on the ground as she looked at me weirdly. My voice was demanding now.

“I acquired the key of the realm from Haskill’s body, marking me the Sovereign of the realm.” I said as I looked at her face to see her reaction. As I expected, she started to shake in distress. “What about the key of the Deadlands?”

“Master, I didn’t betray you, I promise.” Silva said with a pained look.

“Explain yourself.” I demanded. I had enough of this for now.

“Deadlands is different from others, as it is the first realm you landed. The key will only reveal itself when you conquer all the other realms. I did know its existence, but didn’t share because I thought it would deviate you from your goal. I am sorry to make such a decision on my own.” Silva’s face was on the ground as she explained.

“Could Haskill use it?” I asked with a sigh, holding back my anger.

“No, Master! No one but Princes can use the keys.” Silva reported in hopes of redeeming herself.

“Don’t make decisions on your own.” I said and walked away to the other Daedra to loot them too. Sadly not all of them gave perk points, but there were a lot of dead bodies on the ground, so the spoils of war weren’t low.

After I was done with it, I returned to the Deadlands and sat on my throne, looking at the perks. “Why is it so hard to earn Perk Points?” I lamented in hypocrisy. I just acquired more than 50 in one battle yet still my greed was as boundless as ever.

“Elemental Affinity…” I looked at the perk under the Ninjutsu Skill Tree. The first two perks were activated due to my innate elements. Katon and Raiton. “And the third one costs 15 Perk Points. This greedy shithole wants to rob me of my Perk Points.”

“5 perk points increase for each element. I used to lament at this, but now it seems so little. Ah, how unfortunate that the rich are. The higher you rise, the further the sky gets. Anyways, take my fucking 15 perk points and get me my new element.” I sighed as I commanded and 15 points were deducted from my total. “Let’s go with Doton. Why Doton? I am glad you asked.

See, I can implement Katon with it. That is the first. Increases defense, that is second. It is also the other element my team lacks. Naruto is the master of Fuuton, and Hinata is Suiton.”

As I feared, the cost increased to 20 points for the fourth element, which begs the question. How much do I have to pay for Kekkei Genkai? Well, let’s look at the perk at the top of the tree.

[Elemental Fusion]: Mixing two or more elemental natures. Cost extra 50 Perk Points for each element. Fuck’s Sake! It means creating any Kekkei Genkai would cost 50 + 100 = 150 Perk Points. Tota, 300 Perk Points, Yonka, 500 Perk Points and Kekkei Mora 850 Perk Points. Do I look like some sort of Perk Point Tycon? I am just a pauper person that loots suckers he kills.

Yeah, no. It is too much. Although Mora is strong, I cannot use it as I am now. What am I going to do with Truth Seeking Balls? Shove them up my ass? Other perks are better anyway. Let’s start with Summoning Tree this time. After all, I got new minions.

[Summoning Proficiency 1/5] - Increases the proficiency with summoning jutsu, allowing you to summon more powerful creatures and control them more effectively by reducing Chakra requirement. First one activated itself when I dropped my blood in Deadlands. Which meant I signed a contract. Second one requires 10 Perk Points and 5 more for the next.

[Summoning Bonds*] - Increases the user's bond with their summoned creatures, making it easier to summon and control them. One time only, but not sure if I need it. I will conquer the lands and they will bow to me. Though, I guess there is a merit in allowing them to bond with me. Not expensive anyways, just 15 Perk Points. I will consider it.

[Multiple Summons 0/5] - Allows the user to summon multiple creatures at once with less chakra consumption. Basically Chakra Saving Perk. I can already summon multiple summons, though it would be a heavy toll on my chakra. 5 for first, 10 for second…

[Summoning Trap*] - Allows the user to set a trap that summons a creature when triggered, catching their enemies off guard. Now this is something amazing. I can mark a place with this trap, and depending on the trigger I choose it can summon itself upon my enemies. It is 50 Perk Points, but it is definitely worth it. Not now though.

[Healing Summons*] - Healing my summons instead of offing them like regular summons. Not bad, I say. It uses my chakra to heal them from a distance. But it is too expensive! 100 Perk Points!
