Chapter 4: Saint Marrow Fluid!
The momentum came and went quickly, but it made Qin Wentian and Li Wei retract their aura.
They clearly weren't willing to go through the same situation as those they were oppressing with their auras.
What was even more frightening was the fact that they knew who had stopped them. After everyone that was under the pressure stood up, they looked into the void with gratitude on their faces, even though they couldn't see who it was.
What Li Tian and the others weren't told was that those that survive from the Prehistoric Ruins, regardless of their age, would be accepted by the WayWard Sect. It was also the strongest faction in the region and the Li clan, as well as many other families, existed within it's sphere of influence.
It was also why Li Ziyi didn't dare be so arrogant as to demand the Patriarch of the Li clan, That Li Tiandi, to send people into the ruins to protect her sons. She just gave up after realizing she couldn't gain anything.
Even if someone walked out, they would no longer be associated with the Li clan. This is also part of the reason the Li clan didn't stop Li Tian from entering the ruins. In their opinion, it was impossible for him to walk out alive and even if he did, he couldn't gain a huge opportunity to affect them.
The Wayward Sect was not a charity, and those that entered the sect might not be able to rise.
But the momentum of the representative of the Wayward sect at this moment has already been unleashed as a warning. Clearly, he could see that the two clan elders didn't care about their own clan members that had come to enter the ruins. But how could the Wayward sect tolerate watching those that might join them be crushed?
Qin Wentian and Li Wei retreated and stopped paying each other any attention. But Li Tian had already seen something and had a thoughtful look on his face.
"That person is definitely not from the Li or the Qin family! Could it be someone from other families? Regardless of who it is, they have allowed me to see the true nature of practitioners in this world." He had noted everything down.
Since they came to this place, he had not heard anything of importance from the Li clan. It was as though they had already been given up on, but he didn't know if the others had been informed.
Silence was suddenly broken by a noise coming from the two pillars.
Vroom!
"What is happening?"
"How could I know?"
"Look, the pillars are shining with golden light! It seems like the scales of some golden creature."
"Shut up! Do you think I don't have eyes?"
Everyone started to discuss the situation when the pillars vibrated. But the vibration became more and more intense as time passed.
Before Li Tian could see clearly what was happening, a massive golden aura that had accumulated on the pillars shot into the sky. The result was a massive rift appearing in the sky with the pillars as the center.
Just looking into the rift, everyone's souls couldn't help but shiver.
"Those entering the Ruins gather in the magic circle!" A majestic voice suddenly sounded from above them, but they couldn't see the source at all.
"Is that the person that made a move when the two elders were about to fight!" He didn't dwell on it much, as he saw people moving towards the circle between the two pillars.
He also followed and, before he could enter, saw the figures vanishing along with the golden light. When he reached the magic circle, he felt weightlessness assaulting him, and his body vanished.
Less than a second passed before he could find himself in a valley. He felt a refreshing fragrance, but at the same time, a stronger pressure than even the one unleashed by the elders outside assaulted him.
Looking at the direction of the pressure, Li Tian greeted his teeth and approached.
What appeared before his sight was not a monster as he had expected, but rather a massive golden skeleton that resembled that of a human. Below the skeleton was a milky white pond, clearly the fragrance was coming from the point. Just looking at it, he couldn't help but swallow.
He had read a few medical books on medical herbs and treasures. As such, not shocked, he didn't know what this was.
He didn't shy away at all, but rather continued to move forward. He wanted to put his hand into the fluid and swallow some, to see if his blocked meridians could be unlocked and allow him to set foot on the path of cultivation.
It was a shame, he was very mediocre even in physique and the moment he bent to scoop the milky white liquid, his feet tripped and fell towards the pond with his head.
He couldn't stop it and fell downwards violently, causing the milky white liquid to ripple slightly, but it didn't splash.
As he was drowning, he inhaled mouthfuls of the liquid and the result was beyond his expectations.
A massive force erupted from within his body and traveled through all directions while the milky white liquid in the pond turned into a white-like substance drilling into his skin.
The violent impact inside his body didn't stop at all. Rather, it caused him to swallow more of the liquid. As a result, his body started to bleed from the rupturing of internal organs and even muscles.
The white milky liquid didn't just have immense energy, it also had massive vitality.
With the little consciousness that was still present, he started to run the basic foundation technique he had gotten from the Li clan.
The vital Qi inside Li Tian's body was lacking and that was why his body was so thin compared to those of the same age. He looked much younger than fifteen for this reason.
At the moment, even though his body had not changed, the vitality from this liquid kept remedying this situation.
That was not all, the vital Qi kept rushing to every corner of the body and nourishing skin, muscles and bones.
His body was being washed again and again, and the intense pain was what made his consciousness almost become blurred.
The massive liquid he had drunk from drowning was quickly used up, and his body instinctively continued to absorb more from the pond through the skin.
The vital Qi spread all over, passing through his flesh, bones, hair and even nails.
As time passed, black drops were being expelled from his skin at an alarming rate. Even some granulated fats could be seen, and the liquid surface was no longer white.
The Vital Qi was clearly tempering his body and this was at an alarming rate, as he had managed to enter the first stage of cultivation.
The Vital Qi stage.
Since the Vital Qi was tempering his body, it meant he had already moved past the entry stage of the realm.
The more vitality entered his body, the injuries quickly healed, and his consciousness was recovered slightly until he completely became lucid.
Realizing he was barely floating on white liquid, and it was being absorbed in his body passively, he reacted.
"I can actually absorb energy?" He was shocked, and his heart couldn't calm down anymore.
He felt the blood flowing through his body was majestic, not like before. At this moment, he even had a strong aura about him, even though it was nothing before those elders and even some of the people that had entered the ruins, he was feeling happy.
He was probably hundreds of times stronger than when he entered the ruins. If this was not an opportunity, then what was it?
As he looked at himself, he was shocked, excited and relieved.
"Hahahahaha!" He burst out laughing.
All the frustration that had followed him over the years was swept away by this laugh. The same was true for worries that have accompanied him to date.
"Regardless of what happens in the future, I at least have the capital to walk with some pride in this world." As he thought of this, a rare smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
What he failed to see was that his hair had become milky white at that moment. The same was true for his eyes.
He didn't rush out of the pond, but started to try using the technique he had gained from the Li clan. It was also what doomed him to the fate of being labeled useless.
The Li clan didn't have the means to check talents, but the speed at which one practiced the clan foundation technique was a big factor.
Li Tian couldn't even accomplish anything after a full week. As such, he was deemed useless. He assumed his body was suffering from blocked or damaged meridians, but that was just the most common explanation.
He was laughing loudly, because he was happy his situation had been solved.
As he calmed down, he decided to stay in this pond and cultivate. After all, he didn't have any interest in going out to seek more opportunities.
He wanted to use what was before him rather than seek something that might endanger his life.
