The girl walked in briskly, her face devoid of any emotion as she made to the counter with hopes of grabbing a bite.

" How dare you show your face here!" Samantha yelled and everyone starred at the girl their gazes were scornful even Tika couldn't bear looking. Everyone hated her for dating Hades who was in fact a good soccer player and with his good physique a lot of girls wanted him and having the average looking Tika as a girlfriend sure brought her a lot of hates from others even his friends didn't think highly of her... luckily he loved her, she consoled herself.

"I'm grabbing a bite" The girl's voice was tinged with impatience, Samantha on the other hand stood proudly "People like you should die" Samantha cursed however the girls expression didn't change much, she was used to the happenings around her, she was used to the scornful gazes and the rebuttal from everyone..... "I'll just grab a bite and leave" she said as she turned to other, Samantha frowned clearly displeased

" Did your mother also teach you to climb into different men's bed?" Someone asked and Samantha laughed " she's surely in the bed's of different men else how will she survive" Samantha giggled proudly her gaze taunting and mocking.

Oceana was exhausted all she wanted was a meal in the end she was kicked to the ground by a group of girls and was beaten to a pulp. No one spoke up for her

Who could?

This were all second generation rich kids all from wealthy families….

Who could go against them...

"Don't look" Hades whispered to Tika and she clenched her fist, she lowered her head in the end, she couldn't bare to look and didn't dare to offend them.

The fact that Oceana was born out of an affair in the Lyndon household was no secret, and that alone was enough for her to be black listed in the whole school.

Tika was sure if it weren't for her good grades the girl would have been expelled long ago as her mere appearance in the school tainted its image. She sighed feeling genuine pity for the girl however a chuckle resounded in the already quiet cafeteria and it was none other than

~Oceana Lyndon~

"You bastard what are you laughing at!" The girls yelled ready to hit her however she dodged and stood up, her gaze was terrifying and coupled with her wounds she looked like a ghost from hell….

"Hold her down and beat her to death, the Lyndon family would be grateful to us" someone said loudly however before they could continue hitting her, the girl slipped away.

Tika stood up and followed, Hades frowned tightly he didn't want to get into trouble as the rich kids all spelt trouble however he couldn't turn away from Tika, the girl he loved.

Tika follwed Oceana till they arrived a small alley "if you're here to harm me, you just might not know how you'll die" her words were chilling and cold with so much killing intent Tika gulped "I just want to take you to the hospital" Tika commented however Oceana ignored her and briskly walked away, Hades caught up to her panting heavily.

He didn't dislike the girl, yet he wasn't interested in knowing her either, yes he was selfish "You should mind your own affairs and quit poking into the affairs of others especially her"Hades jaw was tense as he pulled her back "why can't we just be kind to her at least?" Tika asked clearly displeased

"Why didn't you help her in the cafeteria?" Hades asked a frown finally settling on his face "you are naive!" Tika argued

" soon you'll understand we have to do everything we can to graduate without troubles and that's without offending this nobles especially the Lyndon family. Her faith had been sealed the day she was born by a mistress of the Lyndon's " He sighed and pulled her along

He knew Tika didn't know a lot but he understood this things better than anyone

The Lyndon's wanted that girl out of the picture and with the bullying and all in school, it was an unspoken rule between the nobles to shit her to get in the Lyndon's good books

The Lyndon's didn't care about this daughter

"They are living humans like her and so what if she was born of an affair! She was a victim"Tika argued. "You should have said it to them and not me, saying it to me is pointless cause I certainly do not care about her! Who I care about is you!" With that said Hades pulled her along ignoring her protest.

He certainly didn't want to deal with any additional troubles and to calm her down her took her on a walk.

Oceana arrived the tiny apartment she shared with her mother Irene

"Those beats dared bully you again"Irene was displeased, she tried to touch Oceana however Oceana flinched, her eyes bore indifference and impatience towards this woman "don't touch me" she finally said and Irene sighed " I made lunch"Irene pointed to the table, Oceana glared at her before she walked into her room and shut the door enclosing herself in her own world. Irene sighed she covered the pot of food and walked out, she wasn't a great cook anyways she had only wanted to impress that child a bit however that child was cold and distant which hurt her feelings.

"Irene did you daughter throw a tantrum again?" Eleanor asked however Irene glared at the gossipy lady who only sorted juicy gossip whether truth or lies

"Oceana is sick" Irene answered as she began to set up her stall, she had taken a break but could only continue

"How's that possible"Eleanor snickered her gaze was filled with mockery "Mind your business" Irene warned

"Seeing that you ran away all this years that child could never accept a mother like you" Jocelyn said from the side and Irene clenched her fist "that child has suffered so much! You brought it upon that child"grandma Mary Anne sighed as she chewed on her cane.

Irene gritted her teeth, she couldn't help but glare at them all, they were only interested in gossip and slandering others, nothing more.

"At least I'm back to take care of her right?" Irene asked and Oceana who had just gotten down glanced over, her eyes held a hint of mockery as she strode away ignoring everyone.

She didn't care.

And that hurt Irene the most

Half a year ago when she had just come back after having several failed relationships and almost losing her life, Oceana had been so indifferent it hurt, she had never spoken about the past nor had she confronted her however the relationship between mother and daughter was far from good

The unspoken tension between the two was evident even to strangers.

"Mother's a horny bitch how then the daughter?" Camille laughed and Irene glared at her

"If you had raised your daughter so well she wouldn't be comfortable being someone's mistress" Irene sneered and stalked of with her stall to sell her wares. She couldn't help buy worry about her daughter who came and went as she pleased.

That night Oceana didn't return home

"What's the face you've been making do I owe you?" Olivia glared at Tika and Tika glare back

"It's about Oceana" Tika sighed

"You're still not over that incident?" Olivia asked a little bit amused. It was an unspoken rule between the students not to intervene with Oceana's business with the elite and she was sure it was not the first time Tika was seeing it.

Why then was she so bothered now?

Did the sun rise in the west? She thought as she munched on her dinner which was bought with her hard earned money...… it hurt.

" I wish she could retaliate" Tika sighed

" she isn't weak"Olivia replied with her mouth duly stuffed "why then can't she fight back"Tika questioned

"Why can't you intervene?" Olivia asked her the obvious question, her eyes filled with disdain "I..." Tika had no words of rebuttal however her heart gnawed on her fiercely

"That's the same reason she's tolerant, the Lyndon family are influential, last I checked your so called boyfriend is trying to befriend Tristan Lyndon" Olivia chuckled clearly amused at the plot twist however Tika only glared at her "Are you mocking me" Tika glared "I won't waste my saliva on your blank brain" Olivia continued to eat and completely ignored Tika

Whatever the latter had to say had no business with her.

Tika glared daggers at Olivia, with a grunt she picked up her bag and stormed out, she worked at a convenience store as a part time employee to cover a few bills

Seeing her, her boss Luke frowned, "good evening boss" she greeted as she walked to the counter, Luke flashed her a cold glance before turning away to continue drinking his beer. Tika sighed her mind clouded with gifts she could get for her boyfriend

"Oceana's quite pitiful" a group of girls muttered as they walked into the store….. Tika sighed, she really wasn't the only one who thought this way

But who?

Just who could go against the Lyndon's

"And here's Tika….." he glanced at Tika mockingly before proceeding to pick out the snacks they wanted to buy "what does Hades seem in her? She's not pretty" another girl muttered clearly disappointed in Hades taste in women. Tika clenched his fist suppressing the anger bubbling in her

Why did everyone look down on her?

She would surely make her relationship work and show everyone that she Tika could thrive in a relationship with Hades

"Delusional ass….. I wonder how Olivia copes with her" another girl snorted in disdain, they sneaked peaks at her and surely Tika had her eyes fixed on them barely suppressing her anger

"Don't cause a scene here" Luke glanced at her briefly before lowering his head to finish his beer

Oohhh how she wanted to rush up to them and smack them senseless.....

The girls finished their snack shopping, they paid to Tika and she packed up everything for them , she clenched her jaw tightly reminding herself not to lose her cool

Her job was at stake

Luke obviously didn't like her

He was only coping with her for the time being

She couldn't lose her job

"You should let go of Hades... what tricks have you used so far? You couldn't be good in bed with all that fat" the red lipped girl snickers before gathering the bags and sauntering out with the other girls

Tika's nails dug into her fingers

She hated them

She hated them all

How was Oceana any better than her

The latter couldn't even keep a relationship for 3 months while she has strived in her relationship with Hades for 2 years

Earning her the scorn of half the population of girls on campus

Hades was handsome, tanned and well built, his muscles was well toned and his physique was sexy and charming while Tika could be described as an average campus girl with no special traits other than her well carved brows

Were brows anything to be proud of

She sighed pulling at her hair

She glanced at her reflection on her phone's screen and frowned seeing the freckles scattered over her cheeks

"Attend to the customer and quit frowning" Luke glared at her bringing her out of her daze as she attended to the customer "that's $5.98" Tika said as she put the cigarette and beer into the wrapper "keep the change" Raymond's deep magnetic voice sounded as he paid the bill and walked out of the convenience store, Tika was dazed at the stranger

Those snake like eyes felt like they could suck out her soul

And his face was deadly... too handsome it couldn't be described as human

How could anyone be so handsome

She was dazed however her phone rang bringing her back to reality

"Mom...." Tika sighed hearing the furious voice of her mother Tamora "you didn't call all weak! You didn't even pick your brothers call!" Tamora yelled over the phone, her displeasure couldn't be masked "he should focus on his studies first and quit jumping around.... Those band things will only make him fail his exams!" Tika retorted sharply her younger brother was nothing but trouble

It was either he was seen in the midst of bad guys or he was harping about how he was gonna be a musician

Even going as far as joining a local band

What pissed Tika the most was his smoking and drinking tendencies

Worst of all he gambled....

"Come home for dinner tonight your father is worried" Tamora sighed helplessly that husband of hers only cared about his daughter and not his son

His only future heir….

"I'll come after clocking out" Tika sighed and Tamora nodded before hanging up "Did she agree?"Philipe asked ln his Philippine scent "she agreed to come okay and where's that boy!" Tamora frowned as she threw down the towel in her hands and walked out

Philipe sighed, his daughter was the only responsible one in the whole household

After clocking out Tika called Olivia "why are you callling all of a sudden?" Olivia sighed as the massagers massaged her body

She had a face mask on whilst her free hand held her phone

The massager in charge was a handsome shirtless brown skinned sexy guy with toned abs

Just how she like it

Her feet caressed his lower body

She was obviously gonna get more than a massage

"I'm going home tonight... be responsible for once in your life!" Tika frowned as she walked out of the store heading for the train station

However getting out, there stood Hades waiting for her.

A smile unconsciously spread into her lips

She wondered how long he had been waiting for her

"Okay" Olivia replied smacking her lips onto the sexy guy before inching her body closer, she moaned slightly feeling his hands somewhere down there

"Shameless" Tika hung up clearly disgusted by Olivia "what's wrong?" Hades asked and Tika bit her lips "nothing... my mom did call" Tika sighed "oh..... I did want to take a walk with you" he smiled handing her, her favorite flavored milk "I'll walk with you and head to thee train station later….. it's only dinner anyway" she smiled and took his hands

"Auntie must have missed you" he kissed her forehead and led her to the park hand in hand

The atmosphere at the park was warm and since it was evening there were several couple scattered all over the park

Tika's heart raced in excitement

She was really walking with Hades

Those girls might even faint from anger

"Let's take a picture... it's been so long we took one together" Tika smiled coquettishly and Hades nodded

She quickly took out her phone and took several shots of Hades and her which she posted on her moments

Her moments were filled with pictures of her and Hades

The comments however praised Hades while throwing jeering remarks at her

However she didn't care

All she cared about was him

The world could do what they wanted

She satisfied with him by her side

They walked for about an hour chatting on random topics while she sipped her milk, it was sweet as she remembered

the sweet moment was ruined slightly when she spotted Oceana

What was she doing? Tika was curious seeing Oceana hunched over like she was cleaning?

Hades frowned pulling Tika away to walk on the other side

He didn't want to stir up Tika's emotion, she could run over to Oceana feeling pity and guilty for her

And he if course didn't want to bring trouble to himself "in the future stay away from any dealings with Oceana….. my career is counting on this! Else you want my career to fail before it even started!" He warned her seriously, she couldn't help but glance back at Oceana however Oceana was there anymore

Her brows creased

"Is she just plain stupid or wah?" Olivia asked glancing at her phone briefly before turning to the naked man to continue their makeup session

To her Hades was as unreliable as the dozens of guys she had dated

Hades alas walked her to the train station where she bought her ticket and boarded the train

He waited for the train to leave before he turned away

From the corner of his eyes, he saw that pair of snake like eyes

He was startled

However he steeler his resolve and walked up to Raymond who was drinking his beer peacefully while leaning on the wall

"Young master" Hades hurried over with a big smile plastered on his face

Raymond lifted his head slightly greatly displeased after having his peace time ruined " young master Ray…. It's nice to see you" Hades greeted again, smiling broadly

He felt fortunate to Raymond

With his amazing skills he was sure Raymond would acknowledge him

"Who are you" Raymond asked coldly, his eyes scanned Hades with a hint of impatience

"I'm Hades a soccer player from bliss" Hades smiled puffing out his chest proudly

Raymond glanced at him briefly before turning his attention away "Ray!" Justin jogged over happily, Ray glanced at Justin

Eyeing the later with a frown settling on his lips, he walked away leaving Justin to chase

He would have never come out to pick Justin personally if it wasn't for a certain someone

Hades turned to Raymond his eyes glowing with anger having been ignored! He had seen Raymond's expression

That guy wasn't interested in him, it was clear he had embarrassed himself

So what? Raymond was a commoner like himself who was just opportuned to be in the midst of influential young masters

He thought with a sneer

He had wanted to establish aa good relationship with Raymond, now he was sure Raymond wasn't worth it

He sneered before leaving the train station

Tika alas arrived her family's home

"You're finally here... come set the table!" Her mother shouted from the kitchen, she sighed putting away her bag before joining her mother in the kitchen "sis" Paulo smiled seeing her, he could ask her for some money he thought however meeting Tika's glare he shut his mouth and sat.

Tika and her mother brought the dishes to the table and the whole family sat as they then begun to eat. Tika sighed knowing she was in for an ear full

"How's school?" Philipe asked glancing at Tika then her mother Tamora "she's looks good to me" Tamora commented eyeing Tika as she ate, the girl had added a lot of weight since the past month they had seen her last "are you still considering moving out of the dorms?" Philipe asked curiously, he knew Tika and Olivia were always at odds yet they weren't enemies

Still he wanted to hear her opinion on things as her father, he wanted his daughter to be as comfortable as possible "it's been three years already what's one additional year to it!" Tamora voiced out, she loved her daughter however they couldn't throw money out as they pleased, Philipe has his regular routine drugs to buy which were expensive and Paulo would be writing his college entrance exams soon. "Let the child speak!" Philipe sighed, he obviously didn't think in Tamora's direction of thought

Paulo wasn't studious always the first from the bottom of the class at most he could only jump three additional gaps from the bottom. Tika however was an average at least she could graduate with a certificate and start working soon. "I'm not moving any time soon dad... you don't have to worry" she replied honestly, if she could move in with Hades she would be even more happier

However she knew she couldn't rush it and could only take things slowly

"If you get an apartment I can move in too! I wanna enroll in music school" Paulo suddenly said and Tika glared at her good for nothing brother "those friends of yours only know how to brain wash you! What stupid talent do you have in music!" Tika snapped clearly pissed "you can't see talent cause you know nothing about music!" Paulo argued earning him a glare from Tika "eat quickly two of you! The meals getting cold" Philipe tried to smoothen things over, it was always like this between the siblings who were completely different character wise "I specially made a pot of lechon and sisig for this ungrateful brats!" Tamora glared at the both "the lechon is delicious" Tika complimented earning her a glare from her mother "there's calamansi and buko juice... your favorite" Philipe smiled pouring Tika a cup full of juice, he knew his wife well

Though she was strict on the kids she had specially made a lot of things Tika liked, she had searched for developing duck eggs all day just to make balut for Tika, he did hope Tika understood her mother.

"You aren't young anymore" Tamora suddenly spoke out, Tika grip on her cutlery tightened subconsciously "I'm just twenty two mum!" She frowned, clearly displeased at the direction the conversation was going "who says you are young! When I was your age you were already walking!" Tamora retorted fiercely "did you call me back to match make me!" Tika snapped. " who are you raising your voice at!" Tamora was pissed

"I've told you mom I won't marry someone I do not love!" Tika replied sharply, "doesn't mean you should yell at mum! She specially made you come home for dinner cause she was worried you aren't feeding well in school! She has packed a lot of dishes for you to take back with you!" Paulo frowned clearly displeased with Tika's attitude "it's all because of that English boy!" Tamora laughed in anger "Tika" Philipe sighed " I love Hades and he loves me too!" Tika snapped, the meal in front of her now tasted sour in her mouth.

How she so wanted to throw everything on the table away

How dare they speak ill of Hades

"You're pathetic and delusional" Paulo mocked "at twenty you're just a loser who gambles and drinks his life away….. are you better than me? Moms favorite" Tika spat coldly "Tika!" Philipe frowned his disappointment visible as day on his face

"He's a loser! does he even have a life at this point? His mates already passed the entrance exam last year yet he couldn't even meet up the quota to write" Tika mocked, Paulo clenched his fist resisting the urge to punch her straight in the face "what am I wrong? Do you dare hit me!" Tika crossed her arms as she stared at him mockingly "soon you'd realize how foolish you are" Tamora sighed "you all would realize how foolish you all are sooner or later for not supporting me" Tika spat hatefully " he's way out of your league, haven't you ever thought about why he's with you? Which guy doesn't take his girlfriend out! At least I don't gamble with your money! I gamble with mine! I work so hard to make money or do you think I idle around? And even with the little I have, I take care of my girlfriend well now I have a child! And I'm working Harder to make life better..... yet you drink flavored milk everyday while he feeds you with alot of stupid stories! You are the foolish one. A shame to this household" Paulo raged, he stood and stormed out. Tamora and Philipe sighed

"Why can't you all just accept him..."Tika broke down in tears however her parents didn't glance at her. "You won't be sleeping under my roof tonight leave" Philipe's voice rang out and Tika stiffened "it's so late dad I won't even catch a train!" Tika frowned "we your foolish family don't need you anymore and Paulo isn't who he was before! He's working so hard to give Lily and Mia a good life" with that Philipe walked to his bedroom "mom" Tika whimpered "leave Tika! You already ruined the night and mind you I'll never match make you all we want is for you to make the right choices but like you said we are all foolish so please leave!" Tamora cleared the leftovers and kept them in the refrigerator, Tika could only grab her bag and leave the house

She was gonna show them Hades was the right choice for her!
