Little Family Treasure of the Apocalyptic Boss

Ch 35

Chapter 35 After-sales Service

Bold.

Really bold!

Not only did Ye Ze kill Lord Sheng Ming, he even moved into the Lord’s mansion! He even rearranged and decorated the rooms!

After witnessing Ye Ze’s display of the parasitic vines’ power against the beastmen soldiers who once attempted to harm the little snake sub-beast, the guards and maids in the Lord’s mansion became even more obedient under Ye Ze’s training. They were even more obedient and attentive than when they were under the Lord’s command, completely unwilling to entertain any rebellious thoughts.

—A perfectly executed operation!

If he weren’t personally involved, he would have exclaimed how amazing it was.

Cang Jiao stood still, stunned by Ye Ze’s audacity, unable to speak for a long time.

After a while, he suddenly regained his ability to speak as if waking up from a trance.

“Ye Ze, killing Lord Sheng Ming will surely bring a lot of trouble in the future,” Cang Jiao reminded with concern.

“And, the city where the beast king is located is not far from here. I’m afraid they will receive news soon and take action,” Cang Ling added.

“Don’t worry,” Ye Ze waved his hand nonchalantly.

There are too many good people he has encountered here. He almost forgot that no matter which world it is, there are always people who rely on their strength and attempt to gain without effort.

Coincidentally, he is quite familiar with dealing with these kinds of people.

—As long as you are stronger than them.

Ye Ze sat in the newly installed throne, looking pleased.

After all, seizing and plundering between bad guys is more in line with his original way of life.

However, the little snake sub-beast obviously prefers a stable and peaceful life, and this world is not as bad as the apocalypse. Most of the time, he is willing to work honestly and “get rich together” with everyone.

But occasionally, it’s nice to relax a bit.

Ye Ze replied with a smile, “I will handle these after-sales issues.”

Cang Ling: “…”

Nobody agreed to this deal with you in the first place! Even if they did, it would be coercion. Life-threatening coercion!

The young beastman was almost on the verge of a breakdown, rushing forward to grab Ye Ze and shake him wildly, hoping to wake him up quickly.

But Cang Jiao was more experienced.

Watching Ye Ze’s indifferent attitude, even though that seemingly nonexistent but hovering killing intent was not directed at him, he couldn’t help but feel a chill run down his spine.

His initial, unintentional invitation ended up bringing such a crazily domineering beast to Little Dragon City.

Clearly, when he was with the little snake sub-beast before, the other party was extremely gentle and polite!

Thinking of this, Cang Jiao froze again, completely realizing the crux of a certain problem.

In his heart, he silently mourned for three seconds for the possible arrival of emissaries from the big city. Considering Ye Ze’s lack of understanding of the outside world of the continent, he still dutifully reminded him.

“Besides that, Ye Ze, you also need to pay attention to the actions of the Inspection team. I heard they specialize in handling such heinous incidents and won’t easily let anyone off. Moreover, they are directly subordinate to the Dragon Clan in Dragon Palace City, with formidable strength, a tough group to deal with.”

“Especially this generation,” Cang Ling added, “I heard their leader has been replaced by someone quite terrifying, uncontrollable when going mad. Even many big families wouldn’t want to provoke them again. If they come knocking, it definitely won’t be good.”

“Hmm?” Ye Ze showed some interest this time.

Indeed, he didn’t expect that there would be such a serious enforcement agency of violence in the primitive world.

After seriously pondering for about three seconds, Ye Ze asked with a playful tone, “Then why didn’t anyone from the Inspection team show up to administer justice when you were detained?”

“…” Cang Jiao was completely speechless.

This seemingly impulsive beastman, even though he didn’t understand the situation here, thought of things more long-term than they did.

Truly reliable and terrifying.

The Inspection team arrived earlier than Ye Ze had imagined.

After tucking the little snake sub-beast, who had finally fallen asleep, under the covers and signaling the groundhog and the big penguin to take care of the little snake sub-beast, Ye Ze took off his coat and wrapped the little snake sub-beast in it. Then he stood up and quietly walked out.

After all, it was the former enemy’s home. Even though the rooms had been renovated nicely, they still brought a lot of instability to the little snake sub-beast.

He needed to deal with these people quickly. Once he obtained the proper credentials, perhaps the little snake sub-beast wouldn’t be as afraid as he is now.

Thinking this, Ye Ze strolled into the deserted courtyard.

The vast garden was illuminated by lamps imported from other planes, warming up the dark night of the primitive world.

The spirit stone monitoring system made every corner of the mansion visible to Ye Ze.

Naturally, this included the three beastmen who had sneaked into the mansion early.

“Is there something you need?” Ye Ze asked casually, standing on the stone path with his hands in his pockets, as if they were not unfamiliar intruders but familiar guests who had come to consult the master on business matters.

The three formidable beastmen were momentarily stunned. The leader of the group then raised his hand and, from under the black robe that obscured his figure and face, revealed a dark emblem.

“We are from the Inspection team.”

“I know,” Ye Ze’s indifferent attitude remained unchanged. He even leisurely inspected the identification of the otherworlders.

Three beastmen. One beast emperor, two beast kings.

All standing at the pinnacle of power in this world.

Indeed, quite a formidable lineup.

“So,” Ye Ze smirked, his eyes dangerously cold, “why didn’t you intervene earlier?”

Now, the three members of the Inspection team were completely stunned.

The trio, led by the Beast Emperor.

Even within the Inspection team, they held significant positions. They were second only to the captain of the Inspection team in terms of hierarchy.

Before coming here, they had heard about Ye Ze’s actions and had thought of many possible reactions from him. But, they had not anticipated this one.

Upon discovering their presence, this emerging figure who was outstanding in every aspect didn’t show the usual panic they were used to seeing. Instead, he remained calm, which was terrifying in its own right.

Although he wasn’t as tall as the average two-meter-tall beastmen, he gave off an aura of looking down on others.

It was as if they were being stared down by a dangerous magical beast.

Ye Ze hadn’t intended to communicate much with them in the first place.

In his view, the Inspection team should be the easiest troublemakers to deal with.

Of course, it’s best not to offend them too much either.

“Since you didn’t intervene before, then now, you don’t need to intervene too much either,” Ye Ze casually tossed out a storage bag.

The leading beastman caught it. After seeing the contents inside, he was speechless once again.

This was the first time they had seen such a blatant attempt at bribery.

The members on either side of the beastman exchanged glances. Beneath their solemn and mysterious demeanor, there was a deep sense of confusion.

Unexpected events had left them shocked, and it took them a while to react. Ye Ze’s initial question was why they hadn’t promptly handled the improper detention by Lord Sheng Ming.

And indeed, there was some mishandling on their part in this matter.

“…We didn’t ignore it. We only arrived today,” the leading beast emperor rarely offered a brief explanation to the object of their oversight.

But such courtesy had no effect on Ye Ze.

“In that case, you can go back as soon as possible,” Ye Ze squinted, his tone now clearly displeased and threatening.

He sensed that the little snake sub-beast was becoming uneasy.

If they didn’t leave soon, the little snake sub-beast might be awakened by sudden nightmares.

Choosing between the Inspection team and the little snake sub-beast was an easy decision for Ye Ze.

He didn’t hesitate at all.

It was akin to his own terrifying pressure descending. The leader of the beast emperors’ team’s pupils contracted sharply, and cold sweat dripped from his forehead.

He never expected that, right after resolving the hindrance brought by the other beast emperor, he would encounter a troublesome situation that even a beast emperor would find difficult to handle.

An outsider who could fully control a large city’s beast emperor was now standing still like an obedient soldier. He dared not offer any resistance and simply let Ye Ze turn and leave.

—This was already a matter difficult to handle even for someone of his rank.

As Ye Ze’s figure disappeared at the end of the corridor, the leader of the beast emperors’ team quickly retrieved a communication crystal from under his black robe and dialed the number of that terrifying presence.

“You specifically used resources to contact me, just to tell me about this?”

The beastman shrouded in a black robe glanced up at the mountain spirit he unexpectedly encountered across from him. His anger towards his subordinate for interrupting their communication intensified.

“I’ve said it before, don’t bother me with these matters! If there are annoying lawbreakers like this again, just get rid of them! As for dealing with these ‘violators,’ hasn’t he already given you the passage fee? Can’t you see what he means? Are you all fools, or has the law enforcement team forgotten its rules in my absence for a few years?! Do I need to take care of you on my way?”

The leader of the beast emperors’ team was instantly chilled to the bone.

He had no doubt that this crazy captain wouldn’t hesitate to act against his own people.

Or rather, this individual, and the team’s notorious reputation outside after taking over the Inspection team, were all carved out by this captain in a sea of blood.

It was better to anger the Dragon Emperor than to provoke this person.

That was the consensus among all residents of the Dragon Palace!

Fearing a misunderstanding, the leader of the beast emperors’ team hurriedly explained, “It’s not like that, Captain. I certainly understand that special cases like Ye Ze’s violators only require a warning without punishment. But, the other party is an unknown and reckless strongman. I’m concerned that letting him go unchecked might not be a good idea.”

“Then wait until it’s ‘not a good idea’ to deal with it,” the beastman replied with a dark expression, abruptly ending the communication without further ado.

Accompanying the darkening crystal ball was the beastman’s calm voice adding, “Furthermore, if such malignant incidents occur again, don’t bother doing anything.”

The leader of the beast emperors’ team broke out in a cold sweat, feeling as if he had been doused in ice water. Even though he knew the other party couldn’t see him, he still solemnly responded to the crystal ball, “Yes, Captain!”

The beastman roughly stuffed the communication crystal ball into his storage bag, out of sight, out of mind, not wanting to give any unnecessary attention. He looked up at the mountain spirit across from him.

The deer-shaped mountain spirit impatiently tapped its hooves, equally furious.

They had made a mistake!

It wasn’t an adorable cub, but rather a mixed-blood individual with a hint of cub-like aura!

—Time wasted!

At this moment, the thoughts of the beastman and the deer coincidentally intertwined.

“You’re the same, aren’t you?” the beastman called out to the mountain spirit, who was about to turn away.

He was sure that if someone were to assign expectations for the birth of Nuo Nuo, he would definitely be the highest-ranking among the beastmen.

But this cub, who was expected to be born like this, was stolen by someone with malicious intent under the careless negligence of rebellious parents!

So, he began to search for Nuo Nuo.

From feeling no signs whatsoever and anxiously wandering the world; to now, finally receiving correct guidance for unknown reasons.

The beastman cradled the glowing guiding crystal ball gently and reverently, presenting it to the mountain spirit, “You’ve noticed, haven’t you? He’s starting to move on a large scale now.”

The mountain spirit stopped in its tracks, feeling a sense of frustration at having its thoughts exposed.

Of course, it knew!

It was precisely because of this that it lost track again!

So the beastman curled his lips, his eyes filled with a determined assurance, “Let’s search together.”

The mountain spirit hesitated, visibly intrigued.

Two certain bastards among their kind had been out of contact in the shared consciousness for quite some time now.

Obviously, they found the cub but didn’t intend to share.

It also had to find its own way out!

The mountain spirit thought of its despicable brothers who were now roaming somewhere unknown, feeling a surge of anger. It completely forgot that if it were in their shoes, it would probably take advantage of the situation and refuse to share too.

Looking again at the crystal ball in the beastman’s hand, it reluctantly nodded its noble head.
