Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Wakanda

In the seemingly primitive lands of Africa, amidst Wakanda's serene grasslands, a high-tech city lay concealed within the forests.

Occasionally, someone would stride toward a large tree. Under normal circumstances, they should have collided with it, but in the next moment, they simply vanished into thin air.

This was Wakanda's "illusion barrier," a camouflaged protective shield that entirely concealed its modern city from the outside world.

Wakanda's Central Palace

"Your Majesty, the Jabari tribe seems to be stirring. We've already sent scouts to investigate," reported a bald woman kneeling before a middle-aged man seated on the throne.

This man was none other than T'Chaka, the current King of Wakanda and the Black Panther.

In Wakanda's history, the title of Black Panther was reserved exclusively for the king. Upon ascending the throne, the king would consume Wakanda's unique Heart-Shaped Herb, granting them the peak of human physical abilities.

In terms of physique, Black Panther was comparable to Captain America—both represented the pinnacle of human potential.

"Hmph, just the Jabari tribe. Father, I really don't understand why we still tolerate them. They've always been at odds with the other four tribes. Why don't you let me lead a team to wipe them out?"

A young man in his early twenties stood before T'Chaka. This was his son, T'Challa.

"T'Challa, how many times must I tell you? We must never instigate any war," T'Chaka said sternly. "If nothing unexpected happens, you will be the next king. As a ruler, your duty is to prioritize the well-being of your people. Starting a war is not what we should do."

"Yes, Father…" T'Challa lowered his head in submission. Suddenly, a crisp sound of clapping echoed through the hall, followed by a light chuckle.

"Well said. To sit on that throne, one must indeed be extraordinary."

The voice came abruptly. Though the words were casual, they startled T'Chaka's guards, who immediately rushed to shield him with their spears pointed toward the sound's origin.

From the shadows emerged a young man accompanied by a beautiful woman. The man appeared Asian, and the woman, Caucasian—an unusual sight in Wakanda, where the population was exclusively Black.

No one had seen them before, nor was it clear how they had entered Wakanda. It was as though they had materialized from thin air.

These two were, of course, Han Yu and Wanda, who had traveled from New York. For them, entering Wakanda was as effortless as strolling into an open field.

Seeing how they had appeared undetected, T'Chaka's eyes narrowed in alarm. Even with his heightened senses, he hadn't perceived their arrival.

"Who are you, and how did you get in here?" T'Chaka stood and questioned them. He refrained from ordering their capture only because their simple attire showed no signs of concealed weapons.

Han Yu smiled lightly. "My name is Han Yu, and this is Wanda. We're from the Somewhere General Store. King T'Chaka, we're here to propose a deal."

Hearing the peculiar name of their establishment, T'Chaka asked curiously, "A deal? What kind of deal?"

Han Yu glanced around. "There are too many people here. Can we discuss this somewhere quieter?"

T'Chaka hesitated. Their sudden appearance was too unsettling, and it seemed risky to accompany them alone.

While he deliberated, T'Challa snorted coldly. "Intruders daring to negotiate terms? First, we'll capture you and then interrogate you to find out how you got in!"

Without waiting for permission, T'Challa charged at them. Though he hadn't yet consumed the Heart-Shaped Herb, he had undergone rigorous training for years. His combat prowess was comparable to that of elite soldiers.

As T'Challa sprinted toward Han Yu, the latter remained calm, smiling faintly as he motioned for Wanda to release his arm.

T'Challa reached Han Yu and delivered a powerful punch aimed at his ribs. His speed was impressive, and the force behind his fist was enough to incapacitate an ordinary adult male temporarily.

"Hmph, didn't even bother to dodge. So confident, huh? Let's see how long you can keep that smug face," T'Challa thought, smirking internally as he looked up to see Han Yu's reaction.

But to his shock, Han Yu's expression hadn't changed. His serene, confident smile remained as unwavering as when he first appeared.

"He's completely fine? How is that possible...?"

A look of astonishment spread across T'Challa's face. Before he could process what had happened, a sharp pain and an intense shock reverberated through his abdomen. It felt as though several tons of force had collided with him at incredible speed.

"How can this be? He took my punch head-on and still managed to retaliate instantly with such force..."

Overwhelmed by the searing pain, T'Challa collapsed to the ground, unconscious. Han Yu's single punch had rendered him completely out cold.

"T'Challa!"

Seeing his son knocked unconscious in one swift move, T'Chaka's initial fury was quickly replaced by shock.

He knew his son's capabilities well. While T'Challa might not be the strongest in Wakanda, he undoubtedly ranked among the top three and could easily outperform most warriors outside of Wakanda. There was no way he should have been defeated so effortlessly.

This left only one conclusion: the man before him possessed a physique far superior to ordinary warriors—perhaps even rivaling the peak of human capability. As someone who had consumed the Heart-Shaped Herb, T'Chaka understood the sheer power one punch could deliver, and he could see that Han Yu's strike had been devastatingly swift and precise.

This was a genuine powerhouse.

"King T'Chaka, I'll get straight to the point. I want the rights to use vibranium. In exchange, I can guarantee the safety of Wakanda from any extraterrestrial threats—be they individuals, objects, or otherwise."

Han Yu's words elicited a surprised expression from T'Chaka. However, it wasn't the fact that the stranger knew about vibranium's presence in Wakanda that startled him—it was the audacity to ask outright for the rights to use it.

Although Han Yu hadn't elaborated, T'Chaka was certain the request was not a play on words. It was clear that Han Yu was asking for access to Wakanda's vast vibranium mines, which had remained inexhaustible despite centuries of mining.

With a cold tone, T'Chaka responded, "That depends on your capabilities."

Having seen Han Yu knock out his son, T'Chaka didn't feel obligated to be polite. In his assessment, Han Yu excelled in combat and stealth but likely didn't possess abilities beyond that.

After all, it wasn't every day that someone would encounter a godlike figure descending into their midst.

"You'll understand after seeing this."

Han Yu glanced at the guards who had surrounded him and Wanda. Then, from his forehead, a beam of emerald-green light shot directly into T'Chaka's head.

"Your Majesty!"

The royal guards, alarmed by what they perceived as an attack, reacted with panic. Several of them rushed to T'Chaka's side to check if he had been harmed.

But the green beam caused no visible damage. T'Chaka remained still, though his expression gradually turned more solemn.

In his mind, a series of vivid images began to unfold.
