Marvel: Starting As Hokage

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 - Banner's Shock (2/4)

The current character prize pool will automatically expand once the progress of the character reaches 100% with the highest combat power.

This system response caused Ethan to fall into deep thought.

"So, I need to draw characters like the Six Paths Sage or a Otsutsuki Kaguya before I can access characters outside the Hokage world?"

There was no doubt that the peak combat power of the Naruto world was represented by these two figures. Even Naruto, who got the power of Six Paths, and Sasuke, who wielded the power of the Rinnegan, were not as powerful as these two.

The entire plot of the Naruto world revolves around the family affairs of the Ootsutsuki clan.

Ethan was now clear on this point, but understanding it didn't make it easier. How could he get the Six Paths Sage or Kaguya Ootsutsuki?

Suddenly, Ethan felt frustrated.

However, this frustration didn't last long. Right now, he had only played the first character, raising the progress of playing the strongest character in the Naruto world to 100%. He was far from reaching that goal.

Even if Ethan got depressed over it, it wouldn't help.

At this moment, the most important thing was to increase the progress of playing Minato Namikaze to 50% so he could unlock new characters to play.

After this thought, Ethan stopped dwelling on it and decided to sleep to clear his mind.

The next morning, Ethan woke up.

Looking around at the familiar yet unfamiliar environment, Ethan realized everything that happened last night was real.

He really did cross into the Marvel world, played as the Fourth Hokage, defeated Abomination, and fought Hulk.

In other words, the storyline of the "Incredible Hulk" was over.

Next up were the events of "Iron Man 2" and "Thor."

Ethan started thinking about how to use these big events to increase his character-play progress.

He thought of many possibilities, but none of them seemed enough to rely solely on Minato Namikaze.

So, as he decided last night, the goal was clear—he needed to increase the play progress of Minato as soon as possible and unlock new characters to play!

First, Ethan checked his belongings.

This was necessary—even Minato Namikaze would need to eat, and Ethan, being an ordinary person, certainly did too.

After the inventory, Ethan found that the family had about $50,000 to $60,000.

That much money was enough for food, shelter, and transportation, and it would last for a long time.

With that settled, Ethan didn't need to worry about money for now. Time to act!

There was no one in the restaurant—no waiter, no chef. These tasks used to be handled by his predecessor.

Without family, without friends, Ethan felt like a ghost wandering in New York.

But in some ways, this was convenient, as it meant he didn't waste time or energy dealing with his predecessor's acquaintances.

After eating the breakfast he made for himself, Ethan went out to a secluded corner and began playing the role of Minato Namikaze again.

In an instant, the handsome and gentle Fourth Hokage appeared, and he used his Flying Thunder God technique.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared next to Bruce Banner.

The reason for this was simple: he needed to give Bruce Banner his contact information.

The Flying Thunder God mark existed, but there was no way for them to communicate unless they had a method to do so. Ethan had been careless the night before, so today, he had to make up for it.

When Ethan appeared next to Bruce Banner, he frowned.

Banner was lying on the ground, covered with a few pieces of newspaper, on the same rooftop where Ethan had left him the night before.

"Is it really that bad?" Ethan clicked his tongue, then promptly woke up Banner, who was "sleeping."

In fact, Banner had already woken up when Ethan arrived. It was a reflex from years of running away. The reason he kept pretending to sleep was to see what Ethan was up to.

As soon as Ethan woke him up, Banner couldn't continue pretending. He rubbed his tired eyes, and when he saw Ethan, his first words were a complaint: "Hey man, you should've taken me somewhere else last night. The rooftop door was locked."

Ethan felt a little embarrassed. "You couldn't break in? You had to stay here all night?"

"No, that could've made Hulk show up," Dr. Banner said as he adjusted his glasses. "Why? What's going on today?"

When Ethan remembered the task at hand, he gave Banner his phone number and some money, then led him down the building.

Rather than taking the stairs, Ethan used his chakra to stick to the wall and carried Banner down the building in a gravity-defying manner.

"Oh my God!" Dr. Banner exclaimed as they landed. "What was that just now? How could you walk on the wall like that?"

Ethan glanced at him and muttered, "Chakra," before vanishing from Banner's sight.

He had his own plans and no time to waste explaining.

Banner, still surprised, looked down at the ground, but he was more curious than ever about this mysterious "chakra."
