Maybe a happy ending

"I won't work with rule breakers" were the words I heard when I entered the supposed meeting room. I am late... I honestly would rather be anywhere but here. I held my chin up and grabbed a seat for myself... After the little talks, the whole deal was finalized, and I received a text from the boss. I had a mission for 12 pm later in the day. I am honestly drained mentally and physically, but I can't tell anyone that. I just had to act okay and share the fake smile when it was necessary. After receiving the location and team that I am supposed to be working with, I left the meeting room with my manager trailing behind... Right behind her was the dwarf, but it was gone before I turned around. I really need to know what's going on right now because I might likely go crazy with all the events that have been going on; everything is very exhausting. "I'd like to see what working with Stargirl feels like." It's Sean, and I was trying to read his expression to understand if he was being sarcastic as I stood alone with him in the elevator... But he kept staring back, and it turned into some flirtatious activities. He gradually came closer as I kept looking at him, and I was truly captivated by the color of his eyes. It was gray from afar, but when you got closer, it looked like a green color... He kept coming closer, way too close, until I could feel his breath fanning me. I honestly want to turn around, but I was hooked in his stare; his lips came closer... The door to the elevator suddenly opened, and I felt embarrassed, more of an inner embarrassment, though, because I was about to, oh maker... I turned around and walked at the fastest pace I could ever have.

Lying on the rooftop with my gun in position, I saw my target walking from across the street, where his car was parked, and headed into a restaurant. He was obviously here on a date with his lover, its master la ville, and what in the world!? That woman, I had already released the shot when I realized it was her master. Avile was fast, and she took the hit. Gunshots started coming in from different angles. This wasn't supposed to blow up. I didn't have enough cover. Not like I was ever given much of a team. I've always been able to sort myself out... This time I was surrounded without getting the opportunity to send an alert of urgency...I heard a sound and turned to see where it was from, but a gun was shot at me. I looked at my hands in my own blood; I was surrounded, but I swore never to die at the hands of my enemies. My ears were bleeding, then another shot came to my stomach. I gently let myself fall to the ground as I welcomed the silence of the night. Are you there?? Can you hear me??

I blinked my eyes a few times to adjust to the light in the room. Did I pass out on the cold floor of the rooftop? The smell of sanitizer and different disinfectant products continued entering my nose as I fully regained consciousness and looked around to be face by the boss,he didn't look pleased at all and I knew it was only a matter of time probably when I get off this bed and I'll receive my punishment being allowed on the bed after my disappointment is already a favor,he must be going soft... I stared right back at him, cowardice is highly prohibited in the sync."you didn't conduct a proper research before sending me" I quickly fired, I knew he wasn't exactly the person doing all of the research but I would rather speak for myself than receive punishment for almost losing my life yet again. "Get up" he instructed he could barely talk but he was actually commanded I leave the hospital bed from his facial expression and I felt bitter inside as I tried following his command this time I couldn't muster any amount of strength, a tear dropped from my eyes as I felt jolts of intense pains pass through my body I couldn't help but remember the " what ifs " in my mind , I raised my eyes and looked right back it him before making myself comfortable in the bed. He clicked his tongue and two mem appeared in the room which was obviously not a real hospital but somewhere in the base. They lifted my, I didn't struggle because it will only mean that I'll experience double of whatever it is that he has waiting for me...
