Chapter 25: Chapter 027 : U.A. Has Started
Ezaki Kitazawa gave her a look and said, "What do you think?"
"We've been friends for so many years. I understand how you feel. Maybe getting into U.A. is the best path to becoming a top pro hero, but even if you don't get in, you can still become a pro hero. So, Ezaki-kun, don't be too upset," Jiro Kyoka comforted Ezaki Kitazawa.
Ezaki Kitazawa frowned. It seemed that no matter what he said, she wouldn't believe him. But then again, in her memory, he was still the Ezaki Kitazawa with just regular fire powers.
The current Ezaki Kitazawa was already far beyond the person she remembered.
"Alright, alright. Were you also here to buy something at the mall?" Ezaki Kitazawa changed the subject.
"Emmm? No, no, no. I was just passing by. I saw someone who looked like you, so I called out, and it turned out to really be you," Jiro Kyoka smiled slightly.
"Ah! With how excited you are, the U.A. entrance test must have gone well, huh?" Ezaki Kitazawa asked.
"Uh..."
Jiro Kyoka hesitated, frozen for a moment. She had been unsure because she felt that if she passed, it might hurt Ezaki Kitazawa's feelings.
Ezaki Kitazawa quickly noticed her hesitation and smiled wryly, "You passed, right? You're too shy to say it out loud because you're worried I'll be jealous!"
"No... that's not it, Ezaki-kun!"
As Jiro Kyoka spoke, Ezaki Kitazawa reached out and patted her head. "Look at me. Do I look like the kind of person who would be envious or jealous?"
As he said this, Ezaki Kitazawa, being taller, bent down to meet Jiro Kyoka's eyes.
Jiro Kyoka blushed bright red at the sudden eye contact and head pat. She stammered, "Y-You... what are you doing?"
Ezaki Kitazawa took his hand away from her head, straightened up, and chuckled, "Alright, I'm going to buy something at the mall. Let's catch up later."
With that, he turned and walked into the mall.
Jiro Kyoka stood there, still stunned, unable to come to her senses.
"Why... why does it feel like Ezaki-kun is different from before?"
....
A few days passed quickly, and just as Ezaki Kitazawa had thought, Shigaraki Tomura hadn't made any moves since that day.
As for the incident where a forest suddenly appeared in a certain area, it gradually faded from the news. However, for the leaders above, the appearance of the forest turned out to be a good thing.
In other words, because of the forest, they made a lot of money. Now, they were cutting down trees in large quantities, and in some of the better areas, the president even suggested turning them into farms.
On the way to U.A., Ezaki Kitazawa noticed many trucks transporting timber.

U.A. High School.
"Wow, it's huge!" Ezaki Kitazawa exclaimed as he looked at the U.A. building.
The competition to get into U.A.'s Hero Course is over 300 applicants each year. Apart from the four reserved spots, the usual intake through the entrance exam is 36 students—18 per class, with only two classes total.
Not long ago, Ezaki Kitazawa received the notice that he had been assigned to the Hero Course, Class 1-A.
"Really big!"
Ezaki Kitazawa walked for a while before finding Class 1-A.
"Click..."
Ezaki Kitazawa opened the door. Since he had arrived early, there were only about seven or eight people in the class.
Among them were the other two reserved students: Todoroki Shoto and Yaoyorozu Momo, but there was no sign of Yoarashi Inasa.
It seemed that Ezaki Kitazawa's influence wasn't enough to change the original storyline for Yoarashi Inasa, but maybe that wasn't such a bad thing.
"Ezaki... Kun?" Jiro Kyoka, sitting near the front, couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Ezaki Kitazawa.
"Good morning!" Ezaki Kitazawa greeted her before sitting down in the back row. After stretching a bit, he lay his head on the desk to catch up on sleep.
His parents had woken him up very early that morning, telling him to make a good first impression on the first day. He had no choice but to sleep when he got to school.
"Is this... for real? He... got the recommendation!" Jiro Kyoka stared at the sleeping Ezaki Kitazawa, still in disbelief.
Meanwhile, Yaoyorozu Momo, sitting a bit farther away, also looked at Ezaki Kitazawa. "Looks like I was right. He's been assigned to Class A too."
