MHA: Sand Sand Fruit

Chapter 70: Chapter 67 Launches Conqueror's Haki - 1

Buried beneath 200 meters of sand, Tomura Shigaraki's faith in his Nomu's strength began to falter. His voice trembled slightly as he shouted:

"Nomu, get up and kill him!"

Yet, no movement came from the ground.

Tomura Shigaraki frowned, his unease growing.

"Tomura Shigaraki, I have a bad feeling again," Kurogiri murmured, his voice unusually tense.

"Shut up!" Tomura barked, turning his frustration on his ally. He called again, "Nomu, I said get up!"

But the silence was deafening.

Akira—stood unmoved, his expression calm as he delivered the final blow of realization.

"Oh, by the way," Akira said, his voice laced with indifference. "I forgot to mention… Your Nomu is buried 200 meters underground. It doesn't matter how strong it is; it's not coming back."

Tomura Shigaraki froze. Kurogiri, All Might, and everyone else who could hear Akira's words were equally stunned.

To bury something 200 meters underground in an instant… The sheer power and precision it required left All Might speechless.

"Impossible… 200 meters? You're lying!" Tomura hissed.

Akira shrugged. "Believe what you want. It changes nothing."

Realizing the dire situation, Tomura gritted his teeth and barked, "Kurogiri!"

Kurogiri responded immediately, creating a swirling portal. Tomura thrust his hand into it, and a second portal opened behind Akira.

"Die, brat!" Tomura snarled, his hand stretching out to touch Akira's back.

"All Might, don't worry about me."

The words weren't loud, but Akira's voice carried confidence. As Tomura's decaying hand approached, a wall of sand erupted, forming a defensive shield.

Tomura's hand struck only sand, the grains crumbling through his fingers.

"Damn it!" Tomura cursed as Kurogiri warned him, "Pull back!"

Tomura quickly withdrew his arm, but it was already coated in sand. Any hesitation, and he would have been entirely encased.

Akira turned, his gaze locking onto the pair. "Not very creative, are you?"

Kurogiri moved to defend Tomura, opening another portal to teleport Akira. But this time, Akira anticipated the move. He sidestepped the trap and lunged forward, gripping Kurogiri's head.

"You're in my way," Akira muttered coldly.

With a powerful motion, he slammed Kurogiri into the sand. The impact shook the ground, leaving Kurogiri incapacitated.

Ignoring the downed villain, Akira leaped toward Tomura, his right hand transforming into a shimmering blade of sand.

"Desert Sword!"

The blade swung, its arc slicing through the air with a sharp hiss.

Tomura barely managed to dodge, but the hands adorning his body weren't so lucky. Several fell to the ground, severed cleanly.

Those hands were his lifeline, remnants of his family, and their loss sent Tomura spiraling into despair.

"D-Damn it… Damn you!" Tomura's voice cracked as his breathing grew frantic.

"You're finished," Akira declared, raising his hand.

The sand around him began to ripple and rise, forming countless spiked projectiles. With a wave, Akira unleashed the barrage of sand spines toward Tomura.

The spikes tore through the air, closing in on their target.

But just as they were about to hit, Kurogiri managed to summon a final portal, enveloping Tomura in a protective cloud of purple smoke.

The sand spines struck the swirling mass, dissipating harmlessly. When the smoke cleared, both Tomura and Kurogiri were gone.

Akira stood alone, the battlefield silent. He let out a small breath, his hand returning to its normal form.

All Might approached slowly, his expression a mix of awe and concern.

"Akira… what you just did… How?"

Akira turned, his eyes calm but unreadable.

"I'll explain later, All Might. For now, we've driven them off. Let's focus on securing the students and ending this mess."

All Might nodded, though his mind was swirling with unanswered questions.

As Akira walked away, the once-vast USJ had been reduced to a sprawling desert—a testament to his power and a warning to anyone who dared challenge him.
