MHA: Sand Sand Fruit

Chapter 71: Chapter 68 Launches Conqueror's Haki - 2

Akira stopped in his tracks, his sharp eyes scanning the now-empty spot where Kurogiri had been pinned moments ago. He frowned, muttering to himself, "They're tougher to pin down than I thought." Without hesitation, he turned his attention to the fading remnants of Tomura Shigaraki and Kurogiri's presence, breaking into a swift sprint.

As he ran, Akira's hands moved in precise motions. The sand beneath the battlefield began to churn and rise, forming two colossal hands that loomed ominously in the air. With a loud shout, he directed them forward.

"Let's see you run from this!" Akira roared, the giant sand hands crashing down toward Shigaraki's last known position.

The ground quaked under the sheer force of the attack, but no impact followed. Instead, the sand hands vanished into thin air.

Akira slowed to a stop, clicking his tongue in annoyance. "Kurogiri again." By the time he reached the spot, all traces of Shigaraki and Kurogiri had disappeared, leaving nothing but the faint swirl of purple smoke dissipating into the air.

"They're fast, I'll give them that," Akira muttered.

Behind him, All Might approached, his steps heavy with fatigue but his presence as resolute as ever. He placed a hand on Akira's shoulder, his voice soft yet filled with gratitude. "Akira, you were incredible today. Without you, things could've ended much worse."

Akira turned, offering a small grin. "You're flattering me, All Might."

All Might's expression became serious, his brows knitting together. "Tell me… was it true? Is Nomu really buried 200 meters underground?"

Akira shrugged nonchalantly. "Of course. Didn't think it'd come up again, though."

All Might remained silent for a moment, his face betraying his shock. "That's… beyond what I expected."

Akira's expression shifted, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "Guess I'm full of surprises."

Before All Might could respond, a distant explosion ripped through the air. Both of them turned toward the source, the faint sound of chaos reaching their ears.

All Might sighed, his expression somber. "Akira, I need to ask for one more favor."

Akira crossed his arms. "What is it?"

"My current form isn't suited for appearing in front of the students. Can you check on the others and make sure they're safe?" All Might's voice was heavy with concern.

Akira smirked, turning away and waving over his shoulder. "Leave it to me. I *am* the class rep, after all."

All Might watched him go, his eyes misting over slightly. He whispered to himself, "The future… it's in good hands. Soon, the world will see a new symbol of peace."

**Elsewhere, on the other side of the USJ training ground**

Yaoyorozu Momo was locked in combat, her classmates standing back-to-back against the relentless attacks of the League of Villains. The air was filled with the clash of weapons and the cries of the wounded.

"Where *are* Akira, Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki?!" Jiro Kyoka shouted, frustration and panic evident in her voice.

"We need them here, but they're nowhere to be seen!"

Ten students had formed a tight circle, defending against the villains closing in around them. Yaoyorozu Momo had supplied them with iron rods she'd created, and each student gripped their weapon tightly, their eyes darting around in fear.

"How much longer can we hold out?!" Mineta cried, his voice trembling.

"Shut up and fight, Mineta!" Yaoyorozu snapped, her tone cold and sharp.

Mineta's panic only grew. "What if All Might doesn't come? What if—"

"Enough!" Jiro cut him off. "If you've got time to panic, then *fight*! We're not going down like this."

Nearby, Kirishima Eijiro activated his Quirk, his arms hardening into stone-like weapons. "She's right! We're heroes-in-training! We don't just wait around for someone to save us!"

Iida stepped forward, his expression resolute. "Exactly. All Might may be busy fighting his own battle, and we can't rely on others to rescue us. We fight *here* and *now*!"

Their rallying cries were cut short as the ground shook violently. A massive bear-like villain pushed through the crowd, wielding an oversized axe. His menacing growl sent shivers through the group.

"Pathetic," the bear man sneered. "Let me handle this."

The students froze as the towering villain charged, his axe swinging high above his head.

"This is it!" Mineta wailed, tears streaming down his face.

The axe began to fall, its massive blade promising devastation.

Then, in an instant, a figure appeared.

Akira stood tall, his hand raised to intercept the axe. The weapon came to a sudden stop as his blackened palm caught the blade mid-swing. The impact sent a wave of air blasting outward, scattering the sand beneath them.

"Akira!" Jiro shouted, relief washing over her.

"Our class rep is here!"

"He caught that axe with *one hand*!"

"What's with his arm? Why is it black?!"

Ignoring the chatter, Akira locked eyes with the bear man. "You scared my classmates. I can't let that slide."

With a slight squeeze, cracks formed along the axe's surface. A second later, it shattered into pieces, the fragments scattering across the sand.

The bear man's eyes widened in fear. He dropped the handle and turned to flee, his instincts screaming at him to run.

Akira turned to his classmates, offering them a reassuring smile. "You've all done well. Leave the rest to me."

As he faced the remaining villains, an invisible pressure began to radiate from him, the sheer force of his presence pressing down on everyone nearby.

The villains hesitated, their resolve faltering as they faced the overwhelming power of Akira.
