Multiverse Heroes: Magical Destinies(AmphibiaxSVTFOExTOH)

Chapter 10: Further Preparations

It was a peaceful night in Mewni. Everyone was asleep, trying to calm their minds after such an eventful day, especially those bunking with Star Butterfly.

Marco was trying to sleep, the boy tossing and turning in his sleeping bag, but it was to no avail. He simply had a lot on his mind.

In the span of a few days, he met a witch around his age, befriended that same witch, leaned about The Boiling Isles, found himself in Amphibia, met some human girls who found themselves in an unusual situation and helped them push back an invasion.

"Hey, you alright Marco?" came the quiet voice of Anne, the girl having noticed his turning and scooted over.

"Oh, did I wake you?" Marco asked.

"No, I was already awake, kind of hard to sleep," Anne said. "Long day huh?"

"Eh, I've had longer," Marco said. "How are you liking Mewni so far?"

"Kind of hard to get an opinion since I didn't see much outside of a fight," Anne said.

"I'd be glad to show you afterwards, there's some pretty cool places, though for the most part, it's basically like an old European style world," Marco said.

"Not too different than Amphibia then, only there's human like creatures," Anne said. "Is there a difference between humans and mewmans though?

"Not much, the biggest difference is that mewmans have more magical potential than humans," Marco said. "Not to say humans can't do magic, I've used Star's magic wand, plus Luz mentioned being a witch."

"That I did," Luz said, the girl scooting over. "Having a secret meeting?"

"Luz, were you awake too?" Marco asked.

"I couldn't really sleep, I'm not sure if it's because I'm excited about all I've seen recently or nervous because of the Boiling Isles Invasion," Luz said.

"Have you been in a war like this, Marco?" Anne asked.

"Well, I did lead a revolution against Ludo when he took over this castle," Marco said, recalling his alliance with a few entertainers.

"Right, that Ludo guy, looks like he wants revenge against Star," Anne said, recalling running into the kappa. "Is he that dangerous?"

"On his own, no, he's kind of a pushover," Marco said. "His power comes from whatever army he can command. The only time he was a threat was when he stole Star's wand, along with her Book of Spells."

"Can Star do magic without her wand?" Luz asked.

"She should be able to, at least sometime in the future," Marco said. "It's just really difficult for her right now. The only time she does it well is in her Mewberty Form."

"Her what form?" Anne asked.

"It's a transformation that the Butterfly Family Lineage has, basically a power up like in anime," Marco said.

"She can power up?" Luz asked. "How much control does she have over it?"

"She's still learning to tap into it, once she's able too, it should help her big time in fights," Marco said.

"If it's strong, it might give us an edge against Belos," Luz said. "It might even be enough to defeat him and free The Boiling Isles from his terrible reign."

"Have you fought Belos before?" Marco asked.

"I tried too...once," Luz said, recalling her last altercation with the evil Emperor. "He's way beyond what I'm capable of right now."

"You won't be alone this time, we'll help you bring that guy down," Anne said. "For Mewni and The Boiling Isles."

"Once this is over, I can probably bring you two home as well," Marco said. "With the scissors, I can take you anywhere, you just need to tell me where you live."

"That's so awesome too, I can finally see my parents," Anne said.

"Oh yeah, I can see my mom as well," Luz said. "But, I still have a lot to learn at The Boiling Isles."

"Hey if you do well enough, Hekapoo might give you a pair of scissors that you can use to go back and forth," Marco said. "I do it myself, sometimes. Actually I haven't seen my parents in months, but it's mainly because I'm busy. Plus I actually like living in Mewni, I feel more at home here."

"I've thought about living in The Boiling Isles myself," Luz said. "Anne, would you live in Amphibia?"

"I'm not sure, I mean I like it there and I love The Plantar Family, but it'd be hard saying 'bye' to my parents," Anne said.

"Oh yes, I have to consider how my mom would feel," Luz said. "Marco, how did your parents handle you coming here?"

"My parents are very supportive," Marco said. "My dad, well he's basically the nicest guy you could meet, he's always in a good mood and he always has your best interest at heart. My mom's great too, little strict sometimes but she's also very approachable."

"Sounds a bit like my parents," Anne said. "My dad's a bit free spirited at times, so I feel like I take after him in personality. My mom's much stricter, not too bad but she has no tolerance for laziness."

"My mom's somewhat the same way, but she has a softer approach," Luz said. "Different as we are though, I always felt so close to my mom. I mean, we're the only family we have left of each other, at least immediately."

"I'm the same, I almost miss my mom's singing, and she's terrible," Anne said.

"Parents, can't live with them, can't live without them," Marco said.

"Got that right," Anne said.

"Oh yes," Luz said. "I just hope that when the time comes, I'll have the courage to tell my mom the ambitions I have, and I hope she finally understands me."

"My advice, talk firm, let her know this is your choice," Marco said. "It's not easy convincing parents, I mean even I thought I was lucky to be able to drop out of school to come here."

"You dropped out of school?" Anne asked. "Well I guess that makes sense since you live here. I'd consider dropping out, but my mother would unleash hell on me if the thought even passed through my mind."

"I go to school at The Boiling Isles, so I'm good on education," Luz said. "But I'll try Marco."

"You got friends that care about you Luz, don't feel shy about coming to us if you're ever worried," Marco said.

"Gracias, eres un buen chico Marco Diaz," Luz said.

"My Spanish is beginner level, but I'm gonna assume that you gave me a compliment," Marco said.

"I did Marco, I said you're a nice boy," Luz said. "Don't mind my random Spanish, it's basically how I let you know my feelings are real."

"At least you know it, is it weird that my dad speaks Spanish but I can't?" Marco asked. "I mean, I understand what he says sometimes in context but I can't carry a Spanish conversation for the life of me."

"It's cool, my parents speak Thai, and while I usually understand what they're saying, I don't actually speak it myself, aside from the basics," Anne said.

"Not everyone's bilingual, learning a second language for me is more my own curiosity than anything," Luz said. "I just happened to learn Spanish from my mom."

"I think it's cute when you speak Spanish, it adds another layer to you," Anne said. "Can you say anything at all in Thai?"

"Here's something," Anne said, then cleared her throat. "Thảkhwām s̄axād h̄̂xng k̄hxng khuṇ"

"Oooh, sounds so cool," Luz said.

"What does it mean?" Marco asked.

"It means, 'Clean your room'," Anne answered, earning a confused reaction from her two friends. "Like I said, most Thai I know is from my mom, and that's one thing she definitely taught me."

"Sounds like a mom thing to say," Luz said, chuckling to herself, Marco and Anne doing the same.

"Hey, will you three go to sleep!?" Sasha demanded.

"Yeah, you're kind of noisy," Kelly said.

"Some of us are trying to get our beauty sleep!" Polly said.

"You dropped out of school, Marco?" Sprig asked.

"That's a bad example to set for younger kids by the way," King said.

"Barely," Ivy said. "It just means he has his life figured out."

"Like a real man," Maddie said.

"Marco's a rebel who plays by his own rules," Janna said.

"Alright, how many of you are even awake!?" Marco asked in annoyance.

"We're all awake Marco, you three were a lot noisier than you thought," Star said.

"Not that we didn't notice you trying to keep it as quiet as possible," Tom said.

"Even if you sucked at it," Janna teased.

"Come on! This is ridiculous!" Marco said. "No way we were that loud."

"Marco, just go to sleep please," Amity said. "Anne, Luz, you both need to as well, it's late."

"To quote Anne though, Luz sounds cute when speaking Spanish," Marcy said.

"Aw, thanks Marcy," Luz said.

"Yeah, yeah, real cute, now can we all go to sleep now?" Tom said.

"You said 'now' twice," Marco said.

"Shut up, I'm sleepy," Tom replied.

"We're all sleepy," Pony Head said. "Connect on an emotional level in the morning."

"Exactly," Star said. "Also, Marco, maybe you should see your mom and dad soon, they probably miss you."

"You think so?" Marco said. "Well, I guess I could make plans, then we can all-"

"GO! TO! SLEEP!" Sasha shouted. "Don't make me get my dagger!"

"Goodnight," Marco said, placing his head down immediately, with Anne and Luz doing the same.

The kids slept through the night, while at Belos's castle, Hunter did the same, though he could barely get any rest, all he could think about was the battle earlier today. He felt ashamed of his inability to defeat Sasha, he was not going to let that happen again.

Ludo, who was not too far away, looked to Hunter with pity, all he saw was a boy who seemed lost and confused about who or what he wanted to be, it reminded him of his own brother. An Uncle like Belos and a mentor figure like Kikimora was not doing the boy any favors whatsoever.

Belos in the meantime was seen with the Dimensional Scissors he had gotten from Ludo. Deep down he wished to just step foot in the human realm once again. But, he knew if he did, he wouldn't want to leave. He still had a mission to complete, but his forces were clearly not ready for Mewni, or rather, those his nephew had opposed. He heard one of them was another human girl, and she was not alone from that world. In a way, this could lead him to the human realm regardless, if at least to know how many worlds it is potentially allied with.

"If I am not careful, my plans can hit a screeching halt, and that would be most unfortunate," Belos clenched the scissors hard, cutting himself slightly in the process. "Years of planning wasted on risk from the unknown. I need to know more about these other girls, humans, just like Luz. How far has humanity evolved over the years that more of them have obtained interdimensional travel?"

The following morning in Mewni, Marco began to stir awake, opening his eyes and looking up to find Maddie sitting by his side, staring eerily down at him. "Hi."

"AH!" Marco shouted in panic, startling Anne, who grabbed her tennis racket, Luz, who grabbed a glyph, Sasha, who grabbed her dagger, Kelly, who grabbed her sword, Marcy, who grabbed her crossbow and Amity who readied her abomination.

"What's happening!? Are we under attack!?" Marcy asked, aiming her weapon.

"No! No attack!" Marco said. "Sorry, I just got startled, no reason for alarm."

"Geez Marco, you had us worried," Amity said.

"I nearly stabbed someone," Sasha said. "Next time cool your jets."

"Mistakes happen!" Marco said. "Also why are so many of you sleeping near your weapons? That's kind of dangerous!"

"We're in the middle of a war, our weapons protect us from assassins who might try to attack us in the night," Kelly said.

"She's got a point," Luz said. "Better safe than sorry."

"As long as you're all careful," Marco said, then turned to Maddie. "Also, did you need something?"

"Oh yeah, Star sent me to get you, but you looked so cute sleeping that I was completely mesmerized," Maddie said.

"Uh...that's understandable I guess," Marco leaned to whisper to Anne. "Is she normally like this?"

"She's a bit of a mystery at times, but she means well," Anne said.

"Well if Star needs me, I should go see what she wants," Marco said, standing himself up.

"Well since we're all up, might as well join Marco," Anne said, sitting herself up. "We should get changed first."

"Right, everyone get dressed, and grab your weapons," Marco said.

"Anyone seen my glyph?" Luz asked.

"Those things can't go off on their own, right?" Sasha asked.

"No, I have to draw the spell," Luz said.

"Hey didn't I have a sword with me?" Anne asked.

"Keep track of your weapons, you don't want to lose them, or worse, possibly step on them!" Marco said. "Keep them near you at all times!"

"Weren't you the one worried about us sleeping near them?" Sasha asked.

Marco groaned in annoyance, "Fine...later on we'll assign cabinets for them, or anything for you to safely store them nearby, just remember to put it there!"

"I like a guy who takes charge," Maddie said, smirking in Marco's direction, this garnering a humorous reaction from Janna and Sasha.

In the meantime, Star was standing out on a balcony, looking into the distance for any sign of the Coven Guards. Thankfully none were there but that did not alleviate her worries, if anything the lack of knowing just made things worse.

"Hey Star," Marco said, getting her attention. "Did you need me?"

"Oh yeah, I needed to talk to you about those scissors," Star said. "See this morning I met up with Hekapoo, I asked her to see if she would be willing to give Luz and Anne their own pairs, but she's still a bit hesitant on the idea. Honestly, you losing those scissors in Amphibia is making her question the maturity of teenage humans."

"That's hardly fair, I made one mistake, and I think Amity and I paid for it given that we got stranded," Marco said. "Plus, we were attacked, so the fault should fall on those newts for trying to off us."

"Regardless, she's still on the fence, but she might be willing to give them a chance to earn them," Star said.

"Really? How?" Marco asked. "I don't suppose she mentioned The Neverzone, I'd be surprised since she turned the idea down. I get it, that place is treacherous, but I do feel like it could be good to train Anne and Luz."

"She mentioned you bringing it up, but she's still against the idea for now," Star said. "Shame, I thought it'd be great to go there too. At the very least maybe Luz and Anne should try the place out."

"That'd be good," Marco said. "Though, one thing I'm worried about is that when I'm in there, I turn into an adult in that place. Do you think they'd find it weird?"

"I have no idea how that would be weird, you look fine as an adult," Star said, turning away to hide her blush."

"Why is your face turning red?" Marco asked.

"Uh...that's just my cheek marks glowing," Star insisted.

Marco raised his eyebrow at that comment, "But how could it be-"

"Wasting time here, let's just see what Hekapoo has to offer, she'll train them a bit and maybe we can stop this war in time for the wedding," Star said.

"The wedding?" Marco asked.

"Ruberiot and Foolduke, you remember right?" Star asked.

"Oh right...really surprised at that outcome," Marco said. "Alright, let's gather everyone in the throne room."

Minutes passed, the entire group of warriors from multiple dimensions were gathered in the Butterfly Family Throne Room, many of them confused as to what was next.

"Queen Moon, are we mounting another attack?" Kelly asked.

"Not quite yet, it seems Hekapoo has a bit of a request for everyone present," Moon said. "Hekapoo, the floor is yours."

"Right," Hekapoo stepped in front. "So, I understand a few of you would like some Dimensional Scissors, correct?"

"You mean those scissors that let you go to whatever place you imagine?" Anne asked. "I mean, yeah, I'd be able to go home."

"Same here, and I can go between my home and The Boiling Isles at will," Luz said.

"Well I don't just give them away for free," Hekapoo said, showing off a pair. "These things were designed with a special kind of magic, and they take quite some time to forge. They are incredibly rare, so rare, that losing a pair would make you possibly the biggest buffoon in the multiverse."

"Let it go, will you!" Marco shouted in annoyance.

"Regardless, I'm a forgiving person, sometimes," Hekapoo said. "So I am going to give each and everyone one of you a chance to earn a pair...and by that I mean only five of you are getting this opportunity."

"Way to tease us," Tom said.

"You don't even need the scissors, you can travel freely through dimensions with your own magic," Hekapoo said.

"Who's getting this opportunity then?" Kelly asked.

"Our new guests," Hekapoo said. "Luz, Amity, Anne, Marcy and Sasha."

"My own pair of those scissors?" Sasha asked. "Ha, sweet, I can totally make great use of them."

"These scissors, they can take you anywhere in the multiverse, correct?" Marcy asked.

"Yes, anywhere you can imagine," Hekapoo said.

Marcy began grinning with giddy pleasure, "The multiverse is mine to explore! I am going to be such a legend!"

"You certainly dream big, but I respect your passion," Hekapoo said.

"You know, I'm almost surprised you're giving me a chance, I could have sworn you didn't like me much," Amity said.

"I really don't, but Star convinced me you deserve a chance, and Marco seems to like you, plus you did fight pretty well yesterday, so I'll put my feelings aside," Hekapoo said.

"Wow, such kindness," Amity sarcastically remarked. "But I suppose I should be grateful for the opportunity."

"Don't say I was never nice to you," Hekapoo said.

"Um, Hekapoo, what about me?" Marco asked. "You're giving me another pair, aren't you?"

"No," Hekapoo said. "Your pair is in Amphibia, you should held on to yours better."

"I told you, I got ambushed!" Marco said, angrily gritting his teeth. "Next time I see those newt guards, I'm gonna slam their heads into the wall!"

"Or, I could just ask King Andras if he's come across it," Marcy said. "Speaking of whom, Star, I'd like to introduce you to him, he said he'd be willing to lend support in the battle against Emperor Belos."

"Oh, that would be helpful," Star said. "So I take it he's a little frog guy, like Sprig?"

"He is anything but little," Marco said. "You'll see for yourself."

"Get that done, I'll be meeting you girls in the courtyard," Hekapoo said.

"Wait, what if Belos's army comes back?" Marco asked.

"We have guards posted around, if there's an issue, they'll come and let us know," Hekapoo said. "Marcy, if you have anything to say to your King, get to it."

"Yes ma'am," Marcy said, saluting Hekapoo.

"So, what should we do?" Anne asked.

"Just stick around, if there's another invasion attempt, we'll postpone you getting those scissors," Hekapoo said.

"I mean...there might be a way to have extra time," Marco said.

"We went over this yesterday Marco, the Neverzone is off limits," Hekapoo asked.

"Neverzone?" Sasha asked. "What's that?"

"Don't worry about it," Hekapoo said. "Though, would you mind coming with me Sasha? There are some things I'd like to discuss with you."

"Oh, sounds fun," Sasha said.

"Where are the adults by the way?" Sprig asked. "Like my grandpa? And Grime?"

"They're with Eclipsa in the banquet hall," Hekapoo said. "Rhomnulus and Omnitrax are there keeping them company. I think Grime is eager to get back into the battlefield."

"Sounds like him," Sasha said. "Well, lead the way then."

As Hekapoo led away Sasha, Luz took the moment to make her way toward Marco, the girl a bit displeased, "You seriously still brought up that weird time moves slow dimension to that girl!?"

"I know you're not thrilled, but this is a bit bigger than us," Marco said.

"I told you that I'd really rather not have to go through that," Luz said.

"Well it's fine, clearly Hekapoo doesn't think either of you girls are ready," Marco said. "Maybe she's right, that's a very dangerous place, but I figured with Hekapoo around, at least she could keep us safe and bring us somewhere to train in peace."

"I think yesterday we proved that we can handle these guards," Anne said. "So yeah, I'd rather stay out of the freaky dimension."

"Same here," Luz said.

"Eh, it could have worked," Amity said. "But now that we have free time, what should we do now?"

Sprig leapt onto Amity's shoulder to gain everyone's attention, "I say we hit the town!"

"Wouldn't most places be closed?" Marco asked.

"Indeed, I'm afraid the streets are not very crowded right now," Moon said. "You are free to go but don't expect a lot of liveliness."

"Yeah, make the most of it," Star said. "Meanwhile, it sounds like I need to make a trip to Amphibia."

"Would you like to come as well Queen Moon?" Marcy asked. "King Andrias would love to speak with you and your husband."

"I suppose that would be a good idea," Moon said. "Come along River."

"Yes dear," King River said, following his wife, daughter and Marcy.

"Wait, should I come too?" Tom asked. "Just to keep Star out of danger."

"I'll be fine Tom, why don't you go and check the outskirts of town or something, make sure The Boiling Isles don't try a sneak attack," Star said.

"Oh, good idea," Kelly said. "Come on Tom, you and I can go."

"Alright, and maybe we'll take Pony Head too to keep an extra..." Tom looked around. "Wait where is Pony Head?"

"She had to go back to that Princess School for something," Star said.

"Oh...wait, doesn't she hate that place?" Tom asked.

"Never said she wanted to go back, she just had to," Star said.

"Oh Star, may I use the scissors again?" Marcy asked.

"Sure, here you go," Star said, lending Marcy a pair, allowing her to open the portal to Newtopia, right in front of the castle.

"My word, such an aquatic atmosphere," River said.

"Pretty cool right? Let's go Royal Butterflies," Marcy said, leading the Mewman Royalty into Newtopia.

"Think they're like it there?" Sprig asked, still perched on Amity's shoulder.

"Eh, probably," Amity said. "Now, can you get off me? You're not light."

"Is that a crack at my weight? I'll have you know I'm as light as a feather," Sprig said.

"I don't know how feathers work in your world, but you are not light," Amity said. "Off, now, or I will make you get off."

"Fine, pushy," Sprig said, leaping off Amity. "Still, I am bored."

"You're always bored," Polly said, then turned to the demon beside her. "You got any ideas, King?"

"Not really, truth be told, I just want to go back to The Boiling Isles, I was trying to find any information I could regarding my father," King said. "I was even going to participate in a race, winner gets mentioned on live TV."

"Oh yeah, I actually remember that," Luz said. "I was gonna help you, then we got trapped in Amphibia."

"Well, maybe there's still a chance," Sprig said. "Has the race happened yet?"

"I don't even know, I kind of lost track of time. Honestly, might not be a good idea to try given the fact that this world's still in danger, who knows how things are back home too" King said. "Plus, I had something else in mind that I hoped to do when I was on TV but...it might be too late."

"It's never too late," Polly said.

"Yeah, lay it on us, King," Ivy said.

"Speak with your soul..." Maddie said, freaking King out a bit.

"Look, why don't you kids go and help King figure stuff out," Anne said. "I'm gonna go explore the castle, see if there's any hidden secrets."

"Good luck, I've probably found just about every secret there is," Marco said.

"You never know," Janna said. "Sometimes it takes a special pair of eyes."

"Yeah, there isn't much to see as far as secrets go," Tom said. "Still, it's a nice castle, you should take the time to explore, not often humans get to be in Castle Mewni. Actually it's not often humans get to be in Mewni at all."

"He's got that right," Janna said. "You, me, Marco, your two friends and Amity's human are all part of the select few."

"I have a name, it's Luz," the witch in training said.

"Sorry, I'm still trying to remember all your names," Janna said. "Where are you girls even from anyway?"

"I'm from a small town in Connecticut," Luz said.

"Wow, really?" Janna asked. "Not my first guess."

"Well what was your first guess?" Luz asked.

"I don't know, maybe Virginia?" Janna asked.

Luz raised her eyebrow in confusion, "That's...random, but alright."

"Well what about the Frog World girl?" Janna asked.

"We're from Los Angeles," Anne said. "And before you ask, it is a tourist spot, but it's not celebrities walking the streets 24/7."

"That's a bummer," Janna said. "Still, Los Angeles, pretty dope. You know, given that we have these magical scissors, we could go anywhere on Earth if we wanted to. Like France, or Italy."

"Oh! I'd totally go to Japan!" Luz said. "The origin of anime!"

"Marcy said she'd go to see the arcades," Anne said. "She says Akihabara would put Hollywood to shame."

"Also, with those scissors...we don't have to be far apart, Anne," Luz said. "I mean, if they can go to any Dimension, they could certainly go to any state."

"Yeah, good point," Anne said. "It'd be great not to have to say 'good-bye' to you, after all, you're one of us."

"Yeah, one of you," Luz said, the girl giddy with excitement while a slightly jealous Amity turned away.

"Well hey, I'm off to check the perimeter, you coming Kelly?" Tom said.

"Totally," Kelly said, then turned to the girls. "Anne, Luz, whatever Hekapoo has in mind, I hope you can pull it off, you can earn those scissors and let your friendship triumph over distance!"

"I think they got this, I mean if they can survive the worlds they got trapped in, they have a fighting spirit equal to that of Marco," Tom said.

"Thanks for that, man," Marco said as Tom left.

"We'll be back later," Polly said, leading King away, not before Maddie gave one more curious glance towards Marco.

"Is it me, or has that girl had her eye on me all day?" Marco asked.

"Can you blame her? You're super cute after all, I would totally slide my tongue all over your face," Janna said, freaking out not only Marco, but Luz, Anne and Amity.

"You really have no filter, do you," Amity said.

"Guess not," Janna said, taking her leave. "Look I'm gonna hang back in Star's room, let me know when Hekapoo starts that little test for you."

Anne stepped over to Marco, "So...is she always like that?"

"Yeah, there's like, so much wrong with her," Marco said.

"She mentioned being human too, did she get trapped here somehow?" Luz asked.

"I really don't know, she just showed up in Mewni one day," Marco said. "I mean, I came here out of my own free will, Janna's here because...well like I said, no one can figure her out."

"I hated her immediately when I first met her," Amity said.

"Yeah, she left one bad impression on you," Marco said. "Well anyway, let's do a little exploring."

"Fine with me," Anne said.

"Onward to adventure," Luz said.

"Yay..." Amity said, the three girls then following Marco.

In Amphibia, Marcy had led the Butterfly Family into the throne room, "Queen Moon, King River, Princess Star, meet King Andrias Leviathan."

Towering over the trio was the King of Amphibia, taking all three by surprise.

"Big frog..." Star said.

"Actually, he's a newt," Marcy said.

"Oh, right, sorry," Star said, stepping over to King Andrias.

"Well hello there, you must be Princess Star, and these must be your parents," Andrias said.

"Yes, hello, I am Queen Moon Butterfly of Mewni," Moon greeted. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance King Andrias."

"The pleasure's all mine, Queen Moon," Andrias said. "I understand your Kingdom is in a bit of a dilemna."

"Yes, our home is being invaded by the Boiling Isles," Moon said.

"The Boiling Isles, you know I do believe I heard that name once, I believe it is within a Realm of Demons if I'm not mistaken," Andrias said. "I heard tale of their powerful magic."

"It is real, I assure you," Moon said. "Their Emperor, whom I am told is called Belos, wishes to claim my world as his, and according to some nice young ladies, he means to conquer their realm of Earth."

"Well we can't have that, now can we," Andrias said. "Marcy is my friend, if it means keeping her world safe, then I am more than happy to assist."

"Oh we do appreciate that King Andrias," Moon said. "I do hope it's no trouble."

"Well if this Emperor Belos of theirs has access to other worlds, who's to say this world won't be next?" Andrias said. "Better to nip this problem in the bud, am I right?"

"You're so right, King Andrias!" Marcy said.

"Oh, mom, ask him about the music box that brought Marcy and her friends to this world," Star said.

"Oh right," Moon said. "King Andrias, I believe Marcy here and two of her friends came across a music box that is believed to be an archaic way of maneuvering between realms."

"Oh yes, the Calamity Box," Andrias said. "Marcy here was fixing it."

"It's actually fixed sir, I do wish to give it to you, though I hoped this could have been an opportunity for a better acquaintanceship than what happened now," Marcy said.

"It's fine, that can wait Marcy," Andrias said. "But is there a reason you pondered about it Queen Moon?"

"It's just that, I heard an evil King used it to conquer Dimensions, leaving me to worry about its magical capabilities," Moon said. "I'd hate for these girls to get hurt in any way."

"Oh don't worry about that, it's just an old myth that got passed around as fact," Andrias said. "The Calamity Box is fine."

"Wait, doesn't Calamity mean like, you know, bad stuff? Like destruction?" Star said.

"Well, in the wrong hands, but anything can be destructive, even magic," Andrias said. "And the worse magic can be used for great things if used properly. The name mostly comes as a warning and a way to ward off careless users. The only calamity is that Marcy here got stranded, because she didn't know how the box worked."

"Makes sense to me," Marcy said.

"I suppose he has a point, I mean even Eclipsa was known as The Dark Queen but she doesn't seem all bad," Moon said.

"Exactly, she just knows dark magic, and like King Andrias said, magic's only as bad as whoever uses it," Star said. "This whole Calamity thing probably proves that our ancestors were wrong about Eclipsa."

"Such an intelligent young girl, just like Marcy," Andrias said.

"Yeah, Star's really cool, especially when she uses her wand!" Marcy said.

"You mean like in Cynthia Coven?" Andrias asked.

"Exactly! Mewni's almost like those books! Then there's that school that Luz an Amity attend! Oh, everything fantasy is coming to life!" Marcy excitedly stated.

"Quite an excitable young girl," Moon said.

"At least she's optimistic, Marco's first time dealing with this stuff was more...pessimistic," River said.

"Queen Moon, I do believe we should discuss matters further," Andrias said.

"That we should," Moon turned to Star. "This might take a while, why don't you take Marcy and go see what Hekapoo wanted."

"Sure thing, mom," Star said, then turned to Marcy. "Let's go."

"You got it Princess," Marcy said.

"You don't need to call me that," Star said, opening the portal. "Keep it informal."

"Sure thing, Star," Marcy said, following Star through the portal.

With King, the young Demon was explaining his situation to the frog kids, "Alright, don't make this a big deal. Now I did say that I wanted to find my dad but, I also wanted to do something nice for Eda."

"The Owl Lady?" Sprig asked. "Well I guess it makes sense, she does take care of you, right?"

"Yeah, she's been like a mom to me, and I wanted to do something nice for her," King said. "I wanted to change my name in her honor, to King Clawthorne."

"Aw, that's sweet of you to do, King," Polly said.

"I hoped to do it at the race, or anything grand rather than just being like 'By the way, I'm using your last name now'," King said. "You know, something worthwhile."

"Maybe after this war ends, you can see if there's some event you can take part in and get the attention there," Maddie said.

"Or you can do it during the war, make it your last stand," Ivy said.

"I kind of want to stay alive, thank you," King said.

"There's still loads of other chances," Sprig said. "Too bad we couldn't participate in the Battle of the Bands...but we can still hold our own."

"That's a good idea, Anne was hoping to play her song, after this war ends, let's propose this Battle of the Bands idea to the King and Queen," Polly said.

"Yeah, only it will be less of a battle of the bands, and more of a friendship concert," Sprig said. "Anne can play her song, Eda can do her thing too, maybe Hop Pop and I can get Wally and Luggle to...oh boy, I forgot about them, hope they're not mad we weren't there last night."

"Sprig, we were in the middle of a war, their feelings are irrelevant," Polly said.

"Guess so, still, by the end, you can do that thing for Eda, and Anne can play her song, so it's a win-win for our friends," Sprig said.

"On top of that, The Butterfly Family can celebrate their victory," Ivy said. "This is a great plan!"

"Glad I thought of it," Sprig boasted.

"Hey Sprig, you're not the only one who pitched in!" Polly warned, startling Sprig.

"Got that right," Maddie said. "So, how are we gonna plan this?"

While that was being discussed, Sasha was seen in the courtyard, having demonstrated a bunch of her sword techniques, first with test dummies, now what Sasha calls, actual dummies.

Sasha was across from a Mewman solider, her sword at the ready while Hekapoo observed from the sides.

"You may begin," Hekapoo said.

It didn't take long for Sasha to disarm the guy with a kick to his and and destroyed his armor, knocking him over and aiming her sword down.

"Wow, that was probably a record," Hekapoo said. "Away with you, solider."

Sasha wiped he sweat off her head as the solider scurried off, "How'd I do?"

"Well, I gotta say, you really are one talented girl," Hekapoo said. "I wish I got to see you fight more yesterday, especially given how well you did against that Golden Guard I heard about."

"He wasn't even that tough, I think he got that title because the Emperor's his uncle," Sasha said.

"Still, you have skills, you're way more talented than most of the Mewman army, and I do agree with Marco, you might be the best swordfighter we've had since Mina Loveberry," Hekapoo said. "Say, you think you'd be interested in joining our army in the future? I know Grime made you Lieutenant of his, but you can be a General here, or higher. You can lead a whole platoon of soldiers one day."

"Wow, big praise, especially since I hear you don't care for humans," Sasha said.

"Well, I do care about Marco, he's a good kid, just way too naive," Hekapoo said. "Don't let his scrawny nature fool you, when he's determined, he'll get stuff done. He's Star's squire for a reason, and his martial arts is nothing to laugh at. He just might give you a run for your money if you're nto careful."

"Well if he's as tough as you say he is, I can respect that, but I do believe that if it came down to a fight, I'd take him down with little to no trouble," Sasha said.

"You do like to talk a big game," Hekapoo said. "Which is fine, you can back it up. So how about it? With special magic, we can even give you eternal youth, you can fight with us forever."

"Eternal Youth huh?" Sasha asked. "That's actually really tempting not to have to grow old. Though, it is a lot to think about."

"I won't rush you, I know I'm asking a lot," Hekapoo said. "The offer's there if you desire."

"Sounds great, thanks," Sasha said, looking towards the door leading into the courtyard. "How long before everyone comes?"

"Hopefully not too much longer, Marcy is helping Star get some allies for the fight against The Boiling Isles," Hekapoo said. "I don't know what Anne, Luz or Amity are doing though."

"I hope Marcy doesn't let herself get distracted, when that girl is focused on something, it's hard to get her attention," Sasha said. "Part of the reason she was such a klutz back home."

"That girl was a klutz?" Hekapoo asked. "Almost hard to believe, she fought well yesterday."

"Well she's gotten better," Sasha said. "Guess being in Amphibia toughened her up, I'm just glad she isn't dead yet."

"How close are you with those girls?" Hekapoo asked.

"I've been friends with Anne and Marcy for years," Sasha said. "We did just about everything together, even get stuck in Amphibia."

"So, best friends huh? That sounds nice," Hekapoo said.

"Sort of, I mean it feels like things are changing," Sasha said. "Now, Anne calls me bossy, and I do tend to be a little bossy I'll admit, but I only do it because I care. Anne's just pushing back more, which I guess is fine, it means she's standing up for herself."

"That's good, isn't it?" Hekapoo asked.

"It is, but...I kind of wish she'd be a little more trusting of me again," Sasha said. "The problem is now that Luz wants to be more involved and act like she's been Anne's friend as long as I have. It feels like she's trying to take my friends from me and does what she can to pull us apart. It worries me, I do care about Anne and Marcy but, I don't know what to do about Luz."

"Have you tried standing your ground?" Hekapoo asked.

"Yes, a few times, though each time I worry I'm just giving Anne more reason to think I'm not being reasonable," Sasha said. "I mean who would you side with? Someone who's tough but fair? Or someone who kisses your ass?"

"Well I don't mind a good ass kisser, especially if it's literal," Hekapoo said, perversely grinning.

"Oh wow, you actually made that joke?" Sasha asked, laughing a bit. "I hope you don't expect me to do that."

"You can do whatever you want, I'm not asking you to do anything," Hekapoo said, winking at Sasha. "But seriously, I get your worries. It's not easy having to be front with people either, and get called 'unreasonable'. You want to know what was happening before The Boiling Isles? One of the ladies inside, her name's Eclipsa, she's being questioned for treason, WHICH we had fair evidence of and put her through trial. Star villainized us throughout the entire thing, even though she'd been admitting her faults, including cheating on her husband and running off with the guy. Like would you respect a queen like that?"

"Oh no way," Sasha said.

"The guy she ran off with was a monster too, she even had his baby, like imagine how bad it would have looked for the Butterfly bloodline if that remained," Hekapoo said.

"Pretty bad," Sasha said.

"We had him banished, and since she caused trouble, she had to be encased in crystal," Hekapoo said. "We then gave her baby away for adoption because who was gonna raise it? Not Eclipsa's husband, he was killed shortly after all this."

"Whoa, this shit's getting real, huh?" Sasha asked.

"Damn right it is, the old hag has the nerve to complain about what we did and make us look bad. Meanwhile she earned the nickname, 'The Dark Queen' for good reason too," Hekapoo said. "Point is after we gave her daughter away, we took in a new girl whom me and my brothers raised from infanthood to become the new queen of Mewni, it's thanks to that act of kindness that Star is destined to be queen, but she certainly isn't being grateful about it."

"For real? If that was me I'd be damn grateful," Sasha said.

"Maybe you should be queen instead then, you have a good head on your shoulders," Hekapoo said.

"Appreciate the chance but, I am not queen material," Sasha said. "I would run this place to the ground."

"I respect your honesty," Hekapoo said. "Anyway thanks for hearing me out."

"Same here, good to get this stuff out of the open sometimes," Sasha said. "Granted the anger does help me be a better fighter."

"Oh hell yeah it does," Hekapoo said. "You know, I was gonna save this for later but, here."

Sasha was presented with a pair of scissors, "Wait, are these..."

"You got it, The Dimensional Scissors," Hekapoo said. "I was gonna have you show off a bit more but you got so much potential, I think I can trust you with a pair."

"Wow, thanks," Sasha said, taking the pair. "I'll hold onto these and use them when I need to."

"Sure, fine with me, and hey, you can go back and see your parents if you want," Hekapoo said.

"Eh, I can hold off on that," Sasha said. "Things are not great back home."

"Oh, really?" Hekapoo asked. "Wanna tell me about it?"

"I'm...not quite ready. I like you Hekapoo but, it's kind of a soft spot for me," Sasha said, shamefully turning away.

Hekapoo did feel for this girl, wondering what this could be. Not too long ago she was full of confidence, even when talking about Luz at least she felt comfortable admitting that, this may have been worse. "Well, if you change your mind, come find me. I mean, we can even go to my favorite tavern, get a nice drink."

"Uh, am I allowed to drink here?" Sasha asked.

"It doesn't have to be alcoholic, it could be water if you'd like," Hekapoo said. "Just my offering."

"Thanks, you're a cool gal Hekapoo," Sasha said.

Not too long later, Star finally showed up with Marcy, the latter looking super excited.

"Hekapoo, you'll be happy to know that negotiations went well for us!" Marcy said.

"Oh sweet, that King guy's gonna help?" Hekapoo asked.

"He sure is, Queen Moon is laying out the deal right now," Marcy said. "Amphibia will help Mewni fend off The Boiling Isles."

"Excellent, this war can end sooner than later," Hekapoo said. "Well, glad you're here, we just have to wait for your friend Anne and the two witches."

"Yo, Hekapoo," Came Tom's voice as the Demon boy showed up with Kelly. "So far there's no sign of the Boiling Isles."

"That's weird, did they give up already?" Hekapoo wondered.

"Maybe we just hit their forces harder than they expected," Sasha theorized.

"Yeah, probably," Hekapoo said. "We'll keep our eye open, maybe I'll have Omnitrax take a look as well."

"So...did you get started on that thing you were planning to do?" Tom asked.

"Yeah, what were you planning?" Kelly asked.

"Give it some time," Hekapoo said.

"I'll go get Janna," Tom said, making his exit to find the other Earthling.

"He's so cool," Marcy said. "That's your boyfriend too, right Star?"

"Yeah, my boyfriend," Star said, then gestured to her headband. "He's the one who gave me these horns."

"Oh for real? That's so sweet," Marcy said, then leaned in close. "So, you and Marco aren't an item, right?"

"No, we're not, why do you..." Star's eyes widened. "Oh don't tell me."

"Hey, what's with the secrets!?" Sasha asked, starting Marcy. "Is there something you can tell Star and not me?"

"No it's not that, it's just...something only Star would understand," Marcy said.

"Friends don't keep secrets, Mar-Mar, if you can tell Star, you can tell me," Sasha said.

"Um, not to butt in, but being friends doesn't mean you need to know everything, does it?" Kelly stated. "She probably just asked a personal question about Tom."

Sasha glared a bit at Kelly, but shrugged it off, "Fine, I guess you have a point you..."

"Kelly," the Woolett said.

"Right...you know that's a weirdly human name for a creature that I'm guessing isn't human," Sasha said.

"I'm a Woolett, and it's just as normal to me as your name is to you," Kelly said.

"Yeah, human names can exist across dimensions, like Maddie, her name is pretty human," Marcy said. "So is Polly's."

"Wait, who's Maddie again?" Sasha asked.

"The witch frog," Marcy said.

"Oh right, the creepy little one that was eyeing Marco earlier," Sasha said.

"Someone mention me?" Marco asked, finally making his way over with the girls. "Sorry we're late, Luz nearly got lost."

"I saw armor and got distracted," Luz said.

"It happens to the best of us, Luz," Anne said.

"So, what's this about?" Amity asked.

"I'm giving you girls a chance to earn their own pair of scissors," Hekapoo said. "Sasha just earned hers."

"Ta-da," Sasha said, showing it off.

"Whoa! You already got a pair!?" Marco asked.

"I just showed off for a bit and boom, I got the scissors," Sasha said.

"That's it? I went through hell to get a pair and Sasha gets them just like that!?" Marco asked. "How is that fair?"

"Well if you want to talk fair, it technically took you a few seconds in your time, and it took Sasha minutes in hers," Hekapoo said.

"Minutes!?" Marco asked.

"Yeah, like maybe thirty, forty-five at most," Sasha said.

Marco groaned in annoyance, "So tell me, why didn't I get this special treatment?"

"First off, at the time I didn't think a human was strong enough, but you proved me that they can be strong," Hekapoo said. "Second, messing with you is more fun, it wouldn't have been the same with Sasha. Honestly if I did to her what I did to you, she'd probably kill me."

"Me? Kill you?" Sasha asked. "I wouldn't dream of it."

"Point is Marco, you were a different case, you showed little potential while Sasha had great potential," Hekapoo said.

"I'm probably stronger than you," Sasha said.

Marco grumbled in annoyance while Amity pat him on the back to reassure him.

"Alright, so Sasha has a pair, what do we need to do to earn ours?" Anne asked.

"Fight me," Hekapoo said.

"I'm sorry, wh-" Hekapoo rushed in with a kick to Anne, knocking her back.

"Anne!" Luz grabbed her glyph cards. "Girl, are you out of your mind or something!?"

"You want the scissors?" Hekapoo asked, cloning herself. "Come and get me then."

"Holy crap..." Luz said, readying her magic. "Fire!"

The attack did nothing to Hekapoo, the clones standing unphazed, "That all you got?" She generated her own fire and sent a blast at Luz that she blocked with ice, immediately evaporating it.

"She's a fire type! Stick to water or something!" Marcy said, as a clone appeared behind her.

"Boo!" Marcy quickly turned around and aimed her crossbow, though the clone knocked it up, sending it hurdling away and then punched Marcy back, though the girl was caught by Marco.

"You alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Marcy said.

A Hekapoo clone grabbed Marco and flung him, "Sorry, this is only between the four chosen girls."

Amity used her abomination to catch Marco and set him safely down as she then ordered it to attack Hekapoo, "Knock that fluzzy out."

"Fluzzy? I find that offensive," Hekapoo said, sending a clone to destroy the abomination with fire, though Amity used what remained to latch onto a pair, giving her the opening to strike with a double kick to knock two clones down.

"Great work Amity!" Marco cheered.

Anne got back up, creaking her neck a bit, "Alright, time to beat the crap out of some clones." She grabbed her tennis racket and whacked a few in the face, but that did nothing and Anne quickly got flung to the side.

Luz sent some water and ice at the clones, trying to keep them at bay, but one snuck up behind her and kicked her to the floor. Luz rolled through and sent a vine to grab the clone, but she used her fire to break free.

Marcy leapt up and dealt a flying kick to knock the clones into each other, "Ha! Got them!"

Suddenly more clones appeared beside her, each one punching Marcy into Luz, knocking the girls over just as Luz tried doing a massive water and ice attack.

Anne grabbed a sword and used it to attack the clones, poofing a bunch in the process, though her rush left herself open for a punch from Hekapoo clone, into an uppercut from another, knocking her over.

Luz tried standing, using some Earth magic to create a couple of stalagmites to destroy a pair of clones, but took a stomp to her head.

Amity grabbed a nearby staff and rushed to the center, using her quick maneuvering to knock a bunch of the clones back, using bits of her abomination to disorient a few, leaving some open for Marcy to fire her crossbow again, then grabbed a nearby mace to rush in and bash a bunch of clones in the process.

"Sweet, they're doing it!" Marco cheered. "You got this girls!"

Marcy went to the middle with Anne, Amity and Luz, all four back-to-back, surrounded by clones of Hekapoo, each of them grinning sadistically at the four girls, a few taunting laughs as well.

"This isn't good," Marco said.

"So...Marco," Sasha said, casually stepping over to Marco. "Is this what you had to go through?"

"Yeah, pretty much, just as a higher level," Marco said.

"Would you say Hekapoo's opponents are pretty much screwed?" Sasha asked.

"Aren't two of them your friends? You should be cheering for them," Marco said.

"Of course I want to cheer, but to do so despite the odds against them, well that just seems cruel," Sasha said.

"That's the perfect time to cheer!" Marco said, turning his attention to the four. "You girls got this! Don't give up!"

"We won't let you down, Marco!" Marcy said. "Come on girls, let's earn those scissors."

"Attack!" Anne ordered, her Luz, Amity and Marcy rushing to attack. What started out well turned bad as Hekapoo slowly began to overwhelm the quartet.

Anne fought hard with her sword and racket, but found herself taking a few bad punches and kicks to her abs and eventually her face, some blood getting knocked out of her mouth. Luz tried blasting the clones with some ice but they returned with fire that knocked the young witch back instead, Hekapoo rushing in for a few hard strikes to her abs, Luz coughing up a bit of blood.

Marcy fought back with her mace, firing her crossbow for good measure, however that only took her so far as she too took a few bad blows to her head, leaving her with a black eye and a bruised lip. Amity fought valiantly with her staff but took one bad kick to the head, cutting her and nearly knocking her out as she took one more punch, her eye swelling up a bit and the girl nearly losing consciousness.

"Oh no..." Kelly said, worrying for the safety of the girls.

None of them backed down, but the more they fought, the tougher things got, taking a few more bad blows from Hekapoo.

"Hey come on! That's enough already!" Marco shouted.

"Seriously Hekapoo, don't kill them!" Star ordered.

"I was never going to," Hekapoo said, getting her clones to stop their attack as she immediately snapped them away. "But, it looks like they failed the test."

"You overwhelmed them! That wasn't fair!" Marco said.

"Oh, and is it fair to give them scissors where they could run into a situation like this where their enemies won't be as merciful as I am?" Hekapoo asked. "Like I said Marco, you earned them because you used your strength the best. You're a cautious guy, but you're also good at planning and calculating, which is how you got through the Neverzone in the first place."

"So you really believe Sasha could have handled them all?" Marco asked.

"Hey, I'll show you right now," Sasha said, pulling her sword out. "Come on Hekapoo, hit me with those clones!"

"Love your commitment," Hekapoo said, snapping a clone up. "Show me what you got."

Sasha rushed in and with a quick sword strike, took out a Hekapoo clone, "Keep'em coming."

More of them came, to which Sasha struck hard with her sword, a few more times. One clone was quick to avoid her sword, but Sasha had pulled out her dagger instead, taking the clone out. That dagger turned to three as she tossed them at a bunch of oncoming clones, running in and taking a bunch out.

"Holy smokes, this girl is next level," Kelly said.

"She's strong, no doubt about that," Tom said. "Somehow, it feels inhuman."

Hekapoo sent a few more at Sasha, the girl's eyes briefly lighting red as she charged through them, taking the win. One attempted to sneak up from behind, but before Sasha could reach, Marco had jumped in with a diving kick to knock it away.

"Hey! This is my demonstration, not yours!" Sasha said.

"You're not demonstrating, you're just being a show-off while your friends are lying..." to Marco's surprise, Anne stood back up despite her injuries.

"I'm not done, I can still fight," she began to topple over, to which Marco quickly caught her.

"Easy, don't push yourself," Marco then noticed Luz trying to stand as well. "Luz?"

"I can't give up..." Luz lost her balance and fell, leaving Marco worried for his new friends.

"Hekapoo, maybe beating them up like this was a bad idea, what if those guards come back?" Tom asked. "We'll be outnumbered."

"Those guards aren't even that strong, why else do you think we managed to push them away so easily?" Hekapoo said. "Honestly, we might not even need a full army, those guys are so weak, we can just charge through and go straight for Belos, once he's finished, the war ends."

"I'm still ready to fight, if you want to go for the top guy, I'm all for it," Sasha said.

"Wow, you put so many Wooletts to shame with your aggression," Kelly said. "Honestly, the only one more battle hungry than you would be Mina Loveberry."

"A girl that eludes me," Sasha said.

"Well we need to find her, and she's not easy to find these days," Hekapoo said. "Truthfully, she freaks me out sometimes. I dare say she loves fighting more than even you do, Sasha. At least you still have your sanity."

"You and I must have a different definition of what sanity is," Marco said.

"Can it," Hekapoo said. "Get those girls to an infirmary, they should be mostly fine."

"Mostly?" Marco asked.

"We could certainly use a healer right about now," Marcy commented.

"Don't worry, I'll help take care of you," Marco said, gently stroking her head. "A face like yours should not be bruised."

"Aw...thanks," Marcy said, blushing from the compliment.

"Come on, we'll help you escort them," Kelly said, lifting Anne while Star helped Amity and Tom helped Luz.

Marco lifted Marcy onto his back, piggyback style, "Let me know if you're uncomfortable."

"Oh there's nothing uncomfortable about this," a satisfied Marcy said.

"Onward then," Marco said, the girls being taken to the infirmary, leaving Sasha behind with Hekapoo.

"Marco really is something else," Sasha said.

"Yeah, he's got a soft heart but sometimes it's his heart that gives him the most drive," Hekapoo said. "Like I said, he can give you a run for your money, you will not have as easy of a win as you might think."

"We'll just have to see, as of right now, Marco is on my list of people to prove myself against, just like Mina Loveberry," Sasha said.

"Hey if you want a challenge, Kelly's pretty tough too," Hekapoo said.

Janna, who was still around, made her way over to the two girls, "Well, gotta say, you girls really know how to kick some ass. If I liked girls, I'd totally date one of ya. But I never had the chance to experiment that so..."

"Not interested," Sasha said.

"Me neither," Hekapoo said.

"Eh, worth a shot," Janna said, walking off while looking at her phone. "Peace out."

"So, do you have a plan for defeating that Belos guy?" Sasha asked.

"Come with me," Hekapoo said.

While this was going down, Eclipsa was explaining something confidential to Eda, Lilith, Grime and Hop Pop. "I shouldn't be telling any of you this but, I am getting quite desperate and worried. I'm looking for my daughter, Meteora."

"Is she lost?" Eda asked.

"That's the thing, I haven't seen her in over 500 years, I don't know where she is," Meteora said.

"500 years?" Hop Pop asked. "Pardon my bluntness, but would she even still be alive?"

"She's half monster, she would be alive," Meteora said. "Would you be able to help?"

"We'll definitely keep an eye out, even in the middle of this war," Eda said.

"Same here, you have my word that I will find this daughter of yours," Grime said.

"Indeed, I'd be happy to help," Lilith said.

"I know the pain of losing a child, I'll do what I can to make sure that doesn't happen to you," Hop Pop said.

"Thank you, if you can, keep this under wraps, Moon, Star and River are supportive, but the Magic High Commission, not so much," Eclipsa said.

"Speaking of which, I hear them coming back," Eda said, gesturing to a returning Omnitrax as well as Rhombulus, who had a tray.

"Who wants snacks?"

"Oh, I'll take one my good man," Grime said.

Eda spoke in hush to Eclipsa, "Seriously, we'll keep an eye out, we got this."

"Much appreciated," Eclipsa said, the woman still determined to find her daughter.
