'Hmm, it seems that my strength and agility have improved once again,' Aaron noted as he stared at the screen in front of him.

'But it's still not enough and there's still so much to do.'

'Anyways, I'll worry about the other things later. For now, I just want to take a nap,' He made up his mind as he finally closed his eyes and gradually fell asleep.

Days passed and Aaron set out ways to bring a group of the townsfolk back to the farmlands.

Their objective was to bring the farmlands back to life, so Aaron decided to give everyone something to do.

The group of townsfolk that were with him were tasked with repairing fences in the farmlands, while a separate group was asked to begin planting crops.

Everyone nodded in understanding and began their work.

Although Aaron didn't want Luna to partake, she still volunteered to work with the townsfolk, and everyone's morale was lifted the moment they saw Luna working hard alongside them.

Meanwhile, Aaron, Diana, and Aurora focused on fortifying the area. They scouted the area to check for any weak points, then they set up makeshift barricades and traps to help deter any returning beasts.

After a while, everyone decided to take a break. Aaron sat on a tree stump and wiped the sweat gathering on his brow. Meanwhile, Glimmer lay at his feet, sleeping, but her ears would occasionally twitch a bit as she dozed away.

Aaron patted his cute little fox, but he suddenly heard Diana's footsteps as she approached him.

He turned around to see her wearing a beautiful dress and her body was completely free of any piece of armor. But she was holding her sword in her hand. "Having fun?" Diana asked with a faint smile on her lips.

"I guess you could say that."

"That's good to hear because every kid deserves to have fun."

"So, you're saying I'm a kid?"

"Aren't you?"

"Well, if I'm a kid, then that must make you a…"

"A what, Baron?" Diana asked with a smile on her face. Her eyes were now closed but her other hand went to the hilt of her sword. Meanwhile, her smile held a very sinister aura hidden behind it.

Beads of sweat accumulated on his forehead again and his words got stuck in his throat as he tried to form a response. "Um… I forgot."

"Good," Diana lowered her hands from her sword.

"Anyways, I can't think about having fun right now, there's still a lot to do."

"I know, but even you deserve to have a break every now and then."

"I guess you're right."

"Of course, I am."

The two smiled and a comfortable silence reigned between them. Subsequently, Diana lifted her gaze to see some of the townsfolk talking and chuckling together. A few were elf refugees, but everyone had a smile on their faces, and seeing this made Diana smile as well. "To be honest, Baron, I never expected you to handle this so well."

"To handle what?"

"The responsibility that comes with being a leader and a fighter. You're young and inexperienced but you're definitely doing the best you can."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Aaron said with a smirk.

"It wasn't supposed to be a compliment, but you've earned some respect," Diana nudged him a bit with a slight smile on her face.

Aaron smiled, then he leaned back to glance at how everyone was chatting and laughing out loud. It was clear for him to see how excited they were to finally have the farmlands back and he was pleased with the little accomplishments he had made in making it possible.

"This was a small victory, but it was definitely a step forward," He muttered loud enough for Diana to hear.

Diana nodded but she had a serious expression on her face. "It is, but don't let your guard down, Baron. There's still a bunch of other places within the barony that's overrun with demonic beasts and we can't be certain that a new beast tide won't be happening soon."

"I know, and that's why we need to keep moving forward. The Farmlands are ours once again but we won't stop here. For now, we'll direct our attention to The Dark Forest, and the hostile magical beasts and demonic beasts inhabiting the forest."

"Good, because I can't wait to slay them all."

The two chatted a bit more and once they were done, they returned to what they were doing.

By evening time, everyone had returned to the capital. Aurora was currently in the Baron's mansion and she was walking through the corridor when she noticed a shaft of light coming from the Baron's study.

She peeked into the room to see Aaron seated and looking at a few things on the desk. "You're still busy?"

Aurora's voice caught Aaron by surprise as he glanced up to see her already walking into the room.

"I have to be." He simply replied.

"But you've been busy all morning."

"It's fine, Your Highness. I can handle a little late-night work. Besides, we have so much to do and there's no time to waste. Just like the farmlands, the dark forest is extremely important to us. It has so many important resources which will help us to rebuild the farmlands and other places within the barony."

Aurora sighed, and the look on her face softened as she spoke, "I understand what you mean, but… don't forget that you're not alone in this. We're here too."

Aaron nodded in response and watched as Aurora left the room, but to his surprise, her hand simply rested on the doorknob, but she didn't open the door to leave.

"Your Highness?" Aaron called out in a puzzled tone, but Aurora remained silent with her back facing him.

Aurora wanted Aaron to know that she was ready to do everything in her power to help him reclaim all the other towns and villages within his barony, but in return, she wanted him to help her reclaim her kingdom as well.

This was what she wanted to say to him, but she decided against doing so because she didn't want him to think about anything else for now aside from reclaiming his barony. So she bid him good night instead.

"Goodnight, Baron."

"Goodnight, Your Highness."

Aurora left the room and walked back to her bedroom.

A/N:- I'm pretty sure a lot of you might have noticed how the attributes seem a bit different from other novels, but it's really not too difficult to understand.
