Naruto: After Seclusion Becoming Naruto Grandfather

Chapter 52: Chapter 52

Nagato opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. His throat was dry, and his thoughts jumbled.

Could this person truly be an ancestor of the Uzumaki clan? If only they had appeared sooner…

"How can we possibly stand against someone like that? I must be losing my mind," Deidara muttered, his legs trembling as the enormity of Uzumaki Chito's power sank in.

Sasori gave a subtle nod of agreement, relieved that this overwhelming being hadn't turned its gaze on him or the others.

Meanwhile, Hidan, wide-eyed and hoarse, rasped out, "Why… why did you save me?"

"If I've slain your Jashin, will you pledge your faith to me instead?" Uzumaki Chito proposed, an intriguing notion forming in his mind.

Hidan's eyes widened, a flicker of zeal reigniting in their depths. Though his faith lay in ruins, Uzumaki Chito's words planted a seed of belief in the wreckage of his convictions.

"Lord Uzumaki Chito," Hidan declared, his voice trembling with fervor, "from this moment onward, you are my deity."

In times of desperation, people cling to even the faintest hope.

Uzumaki Chito smiled faintly and waved a hand, dispersing the lingering dust to reveal Hidan, now fully restored.

As Hidan opened his eyes, he felt an unfamiliar surge of strength coursing through his body. His immortality, once a gift from Jashin, remained intact—but it had evolved. He was stronger, more complete than before.

Uzumaki Chito, satisfied with his work, had harnessed the remnants of Jashin's power to fortify Hidan's immortal body. There was potential now—potential for Hidan to ascend and become the next Jashin in his own right.

Reverent and empowered, Hidan moved to stand behind Uzumaki Chito, his posture one of complete devotion. Seeing this transformation, Kakuzu, who had always prided himself on his composure, dropped to one knee.

"I vow to serve Lord Uzumaki Chito faithfully," Kakuzu proclaimed, sweat trickling down his brow as he dared not meet Uzumaki Chito's gaze.

"Enough of this," Uzumaki Chito said with a dismissive wave. "Return to your duties. I'll accompany Nagato for now to oversee his tasks. The rest of you—keep busy and leave me be."

The onlookers scattered quickly, eager to escape Uzumaki Chito's overwhelming presence.

Nagato, however, remained behind, his frustration evident as he hesitated before speaking. "Grandfather, are you planning to take control of the Akatsuki?"

Uzumaki Chito chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Why would I bother? The Akatsuki is nothing more than a child's game. If I wanted, I could dismantle the entire ninja world with ease. No, Nagato, that responsibility falls to you. Manage it as you see fit."

Turning to Hidan, Uzumaki Chito issued a command. "Stay within the Akatsuki. Train diligently—I have high hopes for you."

"Yes, Lord Chito," Hidan replied eagerly, bowing his head. "I won't disappoint you."

As Chito began to leave, he added, "And Hidan—keep an eye on Naruto during his solo missions."

Nagato nodded, accepting the responsibility without hesitation. "Understood."

Uzumaki Chito glanced at Nagato, one of the last surviving members of the Uzumaki clan. For the first time in years, he felt a sense of relief. With his guidance, Nagato's influence would not veer toward destructive extremism, ensuring his survival.

Satisfied, Uzumaki Chito returned to the Land of Whirlpools, initiating the development of Shin Konoha—a new village that would embody his vision for the future.

Meanwhile, in Konoha, chaos reigned. Hiruzen Sarutobi offered the position of Hokage to Danzo, but the latter adamantly refused, unwilling to shoulder the burden.

Left with no other option, Jiraiya reluctantly stepped into the role of the Fifth Hokage. Hiruzen and Danzo assumed positions as high-level advisors, the highest rank Danzo was willing to accept.

Though Jiraiya's leadership brought some stability, tensions remained high. The emergence of Shin Konoha, founded by Naruto Uzumaki, posed a direct challenge to Konoha's authority.

To make matters worse, the other major ninja villages viewed Konoha's predicament with disdain. News spread that Amegakure had been assisting civilians in relocating to Shin Konoha, signaling a potential alliance between the two factions.

In Konoha's council chambers, Hiruzen and Danzo discussed their next move. Their objective was clear: they could not allow Shin Konoha to establish itself.

"We must act carefully," Hiruzen warned. "As long as we avoid harming those under Uzumaki Chito's protection, he will not intervene. Our goal is to prevent Shin Konoha's foundation while preserving Konoha's prestige."
