Naruto: An Uchiha With A Superpower Roulette

Chapter 317: Chapter 317

Yoichi hovered in midair, scanning the area with his sensing jutsu. Suddenly, his focus was drawn to a powerful chakra emanating violently in the distance.

"A battle? No... there's only one chakra source," Yoichi murmured, narrowing his eyes. "Why does it feel so much like Kaguya's chakra?"

Curious and concerned, he soared toward the source. The distance was vast, taking him across the unspoiled landscape of the ancient world. The pristine forests, abundant natural energy, and untouched terrain highlighted how different this era was from his own.

"This planet is truly unique," he mused. "It's no wonder it could nourish two Ten-Tails, sustain powerful sages, and still have enough energy to birth something like the Dragon Vein."

When Yoichi finally arrived at the source of the disturbance, he saw her—Kaguya.

Below him, Kaguya stood surrounded by villagers who bowed and prayed fervently, mistaking her for a divine entity. But Kaguya's expression betrayed her struggle—her chakra flared erratically, distorting the skies with thunderclouds, lightning, and violent winds.

"The Ten-Tails' chakra is overwhelming her," Yoichi realized, watching as Kaguya's aura destabilized.

She clenched her fists, her face twisting in pain. "I'm losing control... If I succumb to the Ten-Tails' consciousness, I might not regain my senses for years..."

At that moment, Yoichi's voice reached her ears.

"Disperse the power," he suggested calmly.

Kaguya froze at the unexpected advice. Her instincts resisted the idea—after all, the Ōtsutsuki clan's obsession with chakra left no room for relinquishing even a fraction of it.

Yet the Ten-Tails' influence clawed at her mind. Desperation outweighed her reservations. Finally, with great reluctance, she followed the mysterious voice's suggestion.

Two spheres of white energy separated from her body. In moments, the energy condensed into two newborns. Their cries pierced the air, startling the villagers who had been praying fervently.

"The goddess has given birth to divine sons!" the villagers exclaimed, awestruck.

"She has heard our prayers!"

The crowd erupted in chants of "Goddess!" and "Divine sons!" as they bowed even lower, reverence flooding their voices.

Kaguya, however, barely spared them a glance. She was focused on the two infants and scanning her surroundings for the source of the voice that had guided her.

The ruler of the land, the Emperor of the Land of Ancestors, arrived with his guards, drawn by the commotion. Upon seeing Kaguya and the children, he quickly knelt before her.

"Divine Goddess," he pleaded, "please, allow us to serve you and your divine children. We shall dedicate all of the Land of Ancestors to your protection and worship."

Kaguya hesitated. She cared little for the mortals' adoration, but her tenuous control over the Ten-Tails made her wary of isolating herself. The villagers' presence might provide a buffer against any unforeseen complications.

"Take care of them," she finally said, gesturing to the infants.

Her assent sent waves of joy through the Emperor and his people.

The Emperor led Kaguya and her sons to a secluded area, offering her the most secure dwelling they could provide. Though humble by Ōtsutsuki standards, Kaguya accepted it without complaint, her focus on stabilizing her newfound powers.

When the Emperor's wife asked, "What are the divine children's names?" Kaguya replied softly, "Hagoromo and Hamura."

With that, the Emperor's wife took the infants into her care, leaving Kaguya alone.

"Why did the Ten-Tails' power suddenly spiral out of control?" Kaguya muttered to herself in the quiet of her chamber. Experimenting with her newfound powers, she extended her hand, watching a gray bone blade grow from her palm—a new ability she instinctively named All-Killing Ash Bones.

"Perhaps it's related to the richness of this God Tree's chakra... or the ritual sacrifice of Isshiki," she mused.

"That's part of it," came a voice from the doorway.

Kaguya turned sharply, her Ash Bones poised to strike. A stranger stood before her, shutting the door behind him as he stepped inside.

"Who are you? Were you the one who spoke to me earlier?" she demanded, her crimson eyes locked on him with suspicion.

"Calm yourself," Yoichi said, raising his hands in a gesture of peace. His voice carried subtle mental soothing, a technique that gradually eased her tension.

"I am a practitioner of onmyōdō, a protector of this world. If I wished you harm, I could have let the Ten-Tails consume you," he explained, his tone calm yet firm.

Kaguya hesitated, her instincts screaming caution. Yet the stranger's words resonated with her experience—his intervention had prevented her from succumbing to the Ten-Tails.

"Why would someone like you help me?" she asked warily.

"Because compared to others of your kind, your intentions toward this world seem... less malevolent," Yoichi replied. "Your rival, Isshiki, is far more dangerous and unwilling to listen. But you—if guided—might align with this world's interests."

Kaguya lowered her Ash Bones but kept her guard up. "What do you want in return for your help?"

"Knowledge," Yoichi answered. "Tell me what you know about your clan, the God Trees, and this world's origins. In exchange, I can offer answers to your questions and aid in stabilizing your power."

After a long silence, Kaguya nodded slowly. "Very well."

Kaguya summoned the Emperor's wife, who nervously placed the infants before Yoichi.

"Hagoromo and Hamura, you said?" Yoichi mused, kneeling to examine them.

He extended his mental perception into their chakras, his findings both fascinating and perplexing. The energy within them mirrored Kaguya's, yet bore subtle anomalies—traces of the Ten-Tails' influence.

"These two," he said, glancing at Kaguya, "carry not only your power but something... else. A legacy of the Ten-Tails, perhaps."

Taking Kaguya's hand, he compared her chakra to theirs, confirming his theory.

"What are you doing?" Kaguya asked, her tone sharp despite her calm demeanor.

"Confirming a theory," Yoichi replied. "These two might grow into something far greater than either of us expects."

His words left Kaguya unsettled. "Who are you, really?"

"Someone who seeks to understand," Yoichi replied enigmatically.
