Chapter 4: Chapter 4
The bell rang, signaling the end of class, and Tanaka Hideichi let out a sigh of relief.
"Alright, students, class is over. Be careful on your way home," he said quickly before leaving the classroom.
"Wooden, hurry up. My aunt told you to go home for dinner."
"Yeah, yeah, I remember. I'm going now."
After a few quick words, most of the boys rushed out of the classroom. Even many of the girls quickly followed.
The reason? Leo's drunken state was making them nervous. The girls who usually admired him were now worried he might act dangerously due to his drunkenness.
When others get drunk, they might just get rowdy. But Leo, when drunk, could be deadly.
Asuma, still frightened, was the first to run away, hiding his face in shame. He had tried to fight Leo earlier, only to be completely terrified when Leo didn't even draw his sword. Asuma, the son of the Third Hokage, couldn't bear the embarrassment. He just wanted to leave.
"Rin, let's go home together," Uchiha Obito said, walking up to Nohara Rin with a flushed face.
But after waiting for a response, Obito was shocked to see Rin walking toward Leo instead.
Leo, still drunk, was rambling about something nonsensical.
"Come on, let's toast! No Pepsi, only wine and poetry!"
Kurenai came over to Leo, looking worried.
"Leo, are you okay?" she asked.
"You drank too much," Rin added, supporting Leo as he started to fall.
"You two are very pretty. Want to have a drink with me?" Leo said, smiling drunkenly as he pulled Kurenai and Rin into his arms.
Though both girls were flustered, they didn't mind too much. But...
They exchanged glances, both feeling uneasy about the situation.
Just as Kurenai and Rin were about to speak, they heard a soft breath. Looking up, they saw that Leo had fallen asleep in their arms.
"Leo!, you bastard!"
Uchiha Obito stood frozen, staring at Leo in Rin's arms. He'd been watching from afar, but now he was furious. Despite knowing he was no match for Leo, he rushed forward, ready to fight.
"Get away from them!" Obito shouted.
But Rin, still holding Leo, glared at him.
"Obito, stop! Keep your voice down, or you'll wake Leo!"
Obito froze, his heart sinking at Rin's angry eyes and words.
"I... I understand, " he mumbled, feeling crushed.
As he walked away, Rin's voice echoed softly.
"Obito, please... walk quieter."
Obito hesitated, his steps slow and heavy. For the first time, he felt utterly alone.
