Chapter 109: Hokage-sama, Are You Going Back on Your Word?

"That Tsunade… she really doesn't know her place! She thinks she can make demands of me?" Uchiha Yi muttered with a faint smirk after sending Shikaku away. "Sorry, but I'm not here to indulge her."

He then resumed his study of the Flying Thunder God Technique, while Karin, Hinata, and Haku continued their own training. Yi knew he lacked the expertise to guide them personally and left it up to their own talent and perseverance.

When Shikaku returned to report Yi's exact words, Tsunade erupted into fury.

"That damn brat!" she yelled, slamming her hands down on her desk. The wood groaned under her strength.

"Uh… Tsunade?" Jiraiya's hesitant voice cut in as he stepped into the office. "What's going on this time? I swear I didn't do anything!" His tone wavered as he eyed her volatile state.

Tsunade shot him a glare but paused before responding. "I'll explain once Orochimaru gets here."

Moments later, the third member of the Sannin arrived. Unlike Jiraiya, Orochimaru's demeanor was calm, though his curiosity was piqued by Tsunade's explosive mood.

Tsunade proceeded to outline the situation, including the recent reports of the Three-Tails being captured by Akatsuki and the Seven-Tails' jinchūriki from Takigakure going missing.

"Based on these events and the timing of Yi's presence here, there's a chance he's connected to Akatsuki's activities," she concluded grimly.

Orochimaru listened without interrupting, then chuckled softly. "Tsunade, this is all speculation at best. Making assumptions with so little evidence is beneath you."

"What are you trying to say?" Tsunade demanded, narrowing her eyes.

"I'm saying," Orochimaru replied smoothly, "if Uchiha Yi truly wanted the Nine-Tails, he could have acted long ago. There's no need to antagonize him now without cause. Perhaps this is simply a misunderstanding."

"And what do you suggest we do?"

Orochimaru's golden eyes gleamed with amusement. "Simple: don't provoke him unnecessarily. If you're truly curious, send someone to test his reaction—though I'd advise against any direct confrontation."

"Let me handle this!" Jiraiya offered, stepping forward. "I can talk to him and get to the bottom of it."

"No," Tsunade snapped, shaking her head firmly. "You're not going near him."

"Why not?"

Tsunade scowled. "You've got history with him, and not the good kind. If anyone's likely to escalate things, it's you."

Jiraiya winced at the reminder but didn't argue further. Orochimaru, meanwhile, smirked faintly and stood up.

"I have other matters to attend to. This situation doesn't concern me," he said before leaving the office without another word.

With Orochimaru gone, Tsunade decided to handle the situation herself. "I'll go. You stay here and keep an eye on Naruto and Sasuke."

"Be careful, Tsunade," Jiraiya warned.

Tsunade waved him off and set out to find Uchiha Yi.

---

Within minutes, she arrived at the training grounds where Yi was situated. He seemed absorbed in studying the Flying Thunder God scroll, but as soon as Tsunade approached, he looked up with a wide grin.

"Ah, Tsunade! You're just in time!" he exclaimed, striding toward her.

Tsunade blinked, momentarily thrown off by his enthusiastic greeting.

"I've been racking my brain on how to train them properly," Yi continued, gesturing toward Karin, Haku, and Hinata. "And now here you are! You're the perfect person to help."

"Wait, what?" Tsunade began, but Yi had already grabbed her hand and led her to the trio.

"Everyone, stop for a moment," Yi called out to his team. "This is Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage of Konoha. She'll be your new instructor!"

Karin, Haku, and Hinata immediately turned to face her, clapping politely as if on cue.

Tsunade froze, utterly baffled. She hadn't even said a word, yet somehow she'd been roped into this ridiculous scenario.

"Do you have something to say to the group, Sensei?" Yi asked, feigning an innocent expression.

"I…" Tsunade began, only for Yi to interrupt her with a sharp tone.

"What's with that hesitation, Tsunade-sensei? Are you saying you're unwilling to teach them because they're from a small village?!"

"What?! I didn't say that!" Tsunade snapped, flustered.

"Really? So you're not backing out of your commitment, then?" Yi pressed, his crimson Sharingan flaring ominously.

The sudden surge of pressure made Tsunade's heart race. The oppressive aura emanating from Yi was suffocating, and for a brief moment, she felt as if she were staring death in the face.

"N-no, of course not…" she stammered, instinctively taking a step back.

"Wonderful!" Yi declared, his demeanor shifting back to cheerful in an instant. "I knew I could count on you. Alright, everyone, let's give a warm welcome to your new teacher!"

Karin and the others clapped again, smiling as if they hadn't just witnessed their leader strong-arm one of the most powerful women in the world.

Meanwhile, Tsunade stood frozen, struggling to process what had just happened.

---

Tsunade finally pieced it together: Yi had no idea how to train his students, so he had manipulated her into doing it for him.

Normally, she would have refused outright. But between his abrupt ambush and the oppressive aura he exuded, she had been caught off guard and reluctantly agreed.

Her fists clenched as she suppressed the urge to punch him then and there.

"This little brat… he played me like a damn fiddle!"

Yet, even as her anger simmered, she knew she couldn't risk antagonizing him further. For now, all she could do was grit her teeth and go along with his plan.

Fine, she thought bitterly. But I'm not letting him get away with this.
