Chapter 112: Chapter 110: Keep Crying, and I’ll Take You for a Shot!

Chapter 110: If You Cry Again, I'll Take You for a Shot!

The issue of finding a mentor was resolved easily enough.

As for whether the said mentor might change her mind?

If she dared to, Uchiha Yi was more than ready to show her what the weight of "Uchiha Prestige" really meant.

Everything was settled; Tsunade no longer had any room to refuse. Frustrated, she internally cursed Yi as she reluctantly accepted her new role.

She'd just escaped the endless grind of paperwork in the Hokage's office, and now she'd been roped into this mess. How was she supposed to live like this?

With no other choice, and for the sake of Konoha, Tsunade resigned herself to her fate. Begrudgingly, she began her role as a mentor for Karin, Hinata, and Haku.

Why "mentor for four," you ask?

Because, apparently, Uchiha Yi himself was included as one of her students.

It wasn't like he lacked combat experience. Both Konan and Pain had given him rudimentary training, but it was crude and inconsistent. Yi had never received proper instruction as a ninja, and there were countless gaps in his knowledge.

But Tsunade was a different case altogether. As one of the most famous kunoichi in the world, her knowledge and methods were impeccable.

Naturally, Yi decided to use her expertise. And while the Hokage herself would be his mentor, he'd make the most of it—for free.

He had been struggling for days to master the Flying Thunder God Technique. His progress was abysmal, and he was on the verge of giving up.

But then it clicked—Yi discovered a critical insight.

There was an aspect of the Flying Thunder God that aligned perfectly with his skillset. Not only that, but it also significantly reduced the difficulty of learning the technique.

However, there was still a bottleneck: the sealing component.

Yi was utterly clueless about sealing techniques.

So, for now, he had shelved the idea.

Unexpectedly, Tsunade came to him herself. She was practically a walking treasure trove of expertise. Who could pass up such an opportunity?

Although Tsunade was coerced into this role, she fulfilled her duties earnestly. She meticulously pointed out Karin, Hinata, and Haku's errors and helped them refine their techniques.

This level of attentiveness was expected from one of Konoha's most brilliant Academy graduates.

When Tsunade finished tutoring the others, Yi seized the chance to approach her. With a sly grin, he strode over to her side.

"Do you need something?" Tsunade asked sharply. Just looking at his smug face made her blood boil.

"Tsunade-sensei, you've worked hard!" Yi said cheerfully. "Now, if you don't mind, could you spare a moment to guide me as well?"

Although his words were polite, his tone carried a hint of authority.

"You…" Tsunade's frustration was evident, but she exhaled deeply to steady herself. "Fine. What's the problem?"

"Here!" Yi retrieved the Flying Thunder God scroll and handed it to her.

Tsunade's brow furrowed as she unrolled the scroll.

Flying Thunder God…

Her head began to ache.

It wasn't that she hadn't seen this technique before—it was simply impossible for her to grasp.

And now, Yi was asking her for guidance on something she herself couldn't master?

How was she supposed to teach him?

As she stared at the scroll, Tsunade's mind raced.

How do I refuse without making him think I didn't try my best?

Minutes passed, and Tsunade remained frozen, lost in thought.

"Well? Have you figured it out yet?" Yi finally asked, snapping her out of her daze.

"Uh…" Tsunade hesitated. "What if… hypothetically… I couldn't understand it either? Would you believe me?"

"Of course," Yi replied without hesitation.

"You—!"

Tsunade misinterpreted his words, thinking he had just confirmed her incompetence. Her eyes reddened, and her lips trembled as tears began to well up.

"What? Why are you crying?!" Yi asked, completely bewildered.

Tsunade's tears flowed freely as she broke down. She sobbed openly, her voice filled with pent-up frustration.

"Ugh, what the heck is going on now?!" Yi scratched his head, genuinely confused.

Unbeknownst to him, Tsunade wasn't just crying about the scroll.

The stress had been building up for years.

From Konoha's destruction to the creation of New Konoha, Tsunade had been at the center of it all. She had borne the weight of leadership while shouldering the grief of losing her loved ones.

Her body was weary, her spirit even more so.

Becoming Hokage wasn't a position she wanted—it was one she had reluctantly accepted because it was her only remaining tether to her village.

But the strain of holding Konoha together had taken its toll.

And now, with Yi's constant bullying and manipulation, she finally reached her breaking point.

She cried loudly, uncaring of who saw her.

The commotion drew Karin, Hinata, and Haku's attention. They watched from a distance, curious about what had caused their "mentor" to break down.

"Alright, enough!" Yi snapped. "Stop crying!"

Tsunade ignored him, her sobbing growing louder.

"If you don't stop, I'll take you to get a shot!" Yi threatened, his voice booming.

The mention of needles instantly silenced Tsunade. Her fear of them was well-known, and the thought of an injection was enough to jolt her out of her breakdown.

Her tears dried up immediately. She sat quietly, avoiding Yi's gaze like a scolded child.

Yi sighed in relief. "Finally. Now, what was all that about?"

"Hmph," Tsunade huffed, turning away.

She refused to answer his question, feeling embarrassed about her outburst.

"Fine, don't tell me," Yi said with a shrug. He was still puzzled but decided to drop the matter.

As Tsunade composed herself, she resolved to keep her emotions in check from now on.

Her pride as a Sannin and Hokage wouldn't allow her to break down like that again—especially not in front of him.
