Chapter 113: Chapter 111: The Hidden Rain is the Hidden Rain, the Akatsuki is the Akatsuki!
Chapter 111: The Hidden Rain is the Hidden Rain, the Akatsuki is the Akatsuki!
When he was young, his grandmother used to scare disobedient children with stories like this.
Turns out, it works just as well on adults.
Once Tsunade finally calmed down, Uchiha Yi shared his idea with her.
He wanted to combine the Flying Thunder God Technique with his Fire Walking Technique to address its inherent unpredictability. Specifically, he aimed to fix the random "emergence points" that the Fire Walking Technique currently relied upon.
The Flying Thunder God Technique operated on a simple principle: marking a location and then teleporting to it.
What Yi needed to master was the marking aspect of the technique.
At its core, the marking process was tied to sealing techniques—a seemingly simple concept, but one that was anything but easy to execute.
If he could grasp this, it would drastically enhance the Fire Walking Technique's mobility, eliminating the frustration of always needing a nearby emergence point.
"This is all?" Tsunade raised her eyebrows after hearing Yi's explanation.
While the difficulty of mastering only a part of the Flying Thunder God Technique was undoubtedly lower, she couldn't fathom why he wouldn't aim to learn the whole thing.
Why go through all this trouble just to tweak one ability?
Of course, she recognized this as his personal choice, and even if she asked, he might not give her a straight answer.
In the end, Tsunade decided to set aside her questions. Instead, she focused on guiding him as requested, helping him understand the fundamentals of the Flying Thunder God's marking process.
For once, Yi set aside his usual carefree demeanor and earnestly absorbed her lessons.

While life in Konoha passed in relative calm during this one-month training period, the outside world was descending into chaos.
The Akatsuki's efforts to capture tailed beasts were covert, but even so, they couldn't escape the sharp eyes of the major ninja villages' intelligence networks.
Once the villages realized what was happening, they began dispatching search teams to hunt down the Akatsuki.
Anticipating this, Uchiha Obito promptly ordered the Akatsuki to retreat into hiding.
However, based on a trail of fragmented clues, the various villages' search parties converged on the Hidden Rain Village.
---
"I guess it's time to head back."
After informing both his "mentor" Tsunade and Karin's group, Yi stepped into his flames and instantly arrived in the Hidden Rain.
Inside the Rain's reception hall, representatives from the Hidden Cloud, Hidden Stone, Hidden Mist, and Hidden Waterfall villages were seated, their faces dark with anger. Each was clearly demanding an explanation.
Konan was handling the reception, but she had told them they'd have to wait for Yi to return.
Frustrated as they were, they had no choice but to comply.
The Hidden Rain had grown far stronger in recent years, and with only small delegations present, the assembled villages couldn't afford to act rashly.
---
"Thank you for waiting, everyone," Yi greeted them as he arrived. Without hesitation, he walked to the head seat and sat down.
"Spare us the pleasantries!" barked the Hidden Cloud's representative, his tone aggressive. "Hand over the Two-Tails Jinchūriki, Yugito Nii, immediately!"
Yi raised an eyebrow at the man's bluntness.
"And if I don't?" Yi leaned forward, his tone dripping with disdain. "What then? Does the Hidden Cloud plan to declare war on the Hidden Rain?"
"That would be perfect! I've been waiting for an excuse to raze your village to the ground!"
As he spoke, Yi's Sharingan ignited, and his voice dropped to a chilling cold.
"You—"
Before the Cloud representative could finish, a flash of red light streaked past him.
The searing pain came a moment later. When he instinctively reached for his ear, he realized it was gone—burnt to ash.
"Argh!"
The man cried out, clutching the charred wound where his ear had been.
"Shut up," Yi snapped, his tone flat but menacing. "Speak again, and next time, it'll be your head."
The Cloud representative's bravado evaporated. The man went silent, his face pale, as he trembled under Yi's oppressive gaze.
---
"Now that the noisy one's been dealt with," Yi said, glancing at the other representatives, "let's hear your purpose for being here."
The remaining representatives exchanged uneasy looks.
Eventually, they nudged the Hidden Waterfall's delegate, Shibuki, to take the lead.
As the weakest among them, he was the obvious choice to face the danger first.
Shibuki hesitated but began speaking anyway, carefully explaining their grievances.
After listening quietly, Yi shook his head.
"I see," he said. "But I'm afraid there's nothing I can do for you."
"But—" Shibuki began to protest, but Yi raised a hand, cutting him off.
"You're mistaken," Yi continued. "The Hidden Rain is the Hidden Rain. The Akatsuki is the Akatsuki. These are two entirely separate entities. Don't confuse the two."
"You're saying…"
"I mean," Yi said, his tone growing sharper, "if the Akatsuki stole your tailed beasts, then go find the Akatsuki.
"Coming here to demand answers from the Rain makes no sense.
"Do you think we have your precious tailed beasts tucked away somewhere? Even if you screamed until your throat bled, we couldn't produce what we don't have."
"You… make a fair point," Shibuki conceded reluctantly.
However, he refused to back down entirely.
"Still, some say you, Rain's leader, are a member of the Akatsuki. Would you care to explain that?"
Yi chuckled.
"Oh? And who exactly is spreading such rumors?"
"Uh…"
"Bring them here," Yi demanded, his voice laced with mockery. "Let's settle this face to face.
"Think about it. I'm the heir to the Hidden Rain. Do you truly believe I'd give up such a position to join the Akatsuki as a rogue ninja?"
His Sharingan flared once more as he leaned forward, his voice tinged with cold amusement.
"Don't you find that accusation utterly laughable?"
