Chapter 117: Chapter 115: C4 Garuda!
Chapter 115: C4 Garuda!
When it came to flight speed, Utakata's soap bubbles couldn't compete with Deidara's clay creations. Before long, Utakata found himself surrounded by countless white clay birds.
"Katsu!" Deidara shouted, and the birds detonated.
In a desperate attempt to defend himself, Utakata summoned a thin layer of Six-Tails chakra to shield his body. However, the shockwaves of the explosion were too powerful, rattling his brain as if it had been struck by a massive hammer.
His body went limp as he lost control, falling from the sky like a ragdoll.
Just before he hit the ground, the Six-Tails—Saiken—burst out of his body. The massive slug-like creature slammed into the earth with a tremendous crash, splitting the ground into pieces.
---
Saiken didn't hesitate.
It immediately identified the enemies that had assaulted its host and unleashed an attack.
"Acidic Fluid!"
Saiken's body excreted a corrosive liquid, which it then flicked off in the form of countless droplets. The acid rain showered down toward Deidara and the others.
Deidara, taken aback by the sudden attack, quickly maneuvered his clay bird to ascend, narrowly escaping the deadly droplets. Even so, some of the acid splashed onto the bird.
"Huh?!" Deidara exclaimed as he saw his creation corrode rapidly. Holes formed across its wings, making the bird wobble and lose altitude.
"Damn slug!" Deidara cursed before reacting swiftly. "C1: Double-Winged Bird!"
He quickly molded another clay construct, a smaller and faster flying bird. Deidara hopped onto the new creation, but this time, Kakuzu and Obito were left behind, forced to descend to the ground.
---
Deidara grinned as he soared back into the sky.
"Enough playing around. Let's finish this. C4 Garuda!"
This technique was one of his deadliest—an ultimate trump card he had initially designed to deal with Uchiha Itachi.
Deidara fed a lump of clay to the mouths on his palms, and moments later, he spat out a gigantic humanoid figure resembling himself. The clay giant, towering over the battlefield, had proportions comparable to the colossal Saiken.
The massive figure's every step caused the ground to quake. The sight was enough to make even Saiken hesitate momentarily.
Seeing the clay giant advancing toward it, Saiken began to form a Tailed Beast Ball, the destructive black sphere gathering in its mouth.
Deidara remained unfazed, smirking as he watched Saiken prepare its attack.
The giant moved slowly, and the Tailed Beast Ball launched directly at it, punching a hole straight through the figure's chest. The clay giant deflated like a punctured balloon, collapsing into fragments.
Saiken paused, puzzled by the seemingly underwhelming result. Even Kakuzu and Obito, observing from the ground, appeared confused.
"What's the point of that? It's just clay," Kakuzu muttered.
Saiken's massive eyes narrowed as it failed to understand Deidara's intentions.
---
High above, Deidara burst into laughter.
"Katsu!"
"Did you really think that was all?!" he yelled triumphantly. "The real trick was inside the giant!"
Deidara's clay giant had shattered into countless microscopic clay spiders—undetectable to the naked eye. By now, they had spread across the entire area. Anyone who breathed them in had unknowingly turned themselves into living bombs.
"C4 Garuda—the art of microscopic destruction!" Deidara declared. "Prepare to be blown apart from the inside!"
Saiken's eyes widened in realization, but it was too late.
"Boom!"
---
The explosion was unlike anything seen before.
The entire area was engulfed in a cataclysmic blast. A suffocating pressure radiated outward, tearing apart everything in its radius. Trees disintegrated, the ground ruptured, and the air itself seemed to scream under the devastation.
From the inside out, Saiken's body convulsed violently as the microscopic bombs detonated within it. Unable to resist the internal destruction, the massive Tailed Beast roared in agony before retreating back into Utakata's unconscious body.
The aftermath was absolute.
When the smoke cleared, the area had been reduced to a barren wasteland. Utakata lay motionless, his body bloodied and broken.
---
On the ground, Kakuzu gasped for breath, visibly shaken.
"That idiot," he muttered angrily, realizing he, too, had narrowly escaped the blast radius.
Obito had managed to avoid the worst of it using his Kamui. Looking up at Deidara, he shook his head with mild annoyance. "You could have warned us, Deidara."
Deidara, perched atop his clay bird, laughed loudly. "Hahaha! You're fine, aren't you, Kakuzu-senpai? My art is truly unmatched!"
Kakuzu glared at him. "The next time you pull something like that, I'll take your heart myself."
Deidara ignored the threat, basking in his victory. "Art is an explosion!"
Obito ignored their bickering and approached Utakata. He knelt beside the unconscious Jinchūriki and quickly placed a sealing jutsu on his body to suppress Saiken's chakra. With a flicker of space, he transported Utakata into the Kamui dimension.
"It's done. Let's leave before more people show up," Obito ordered.
Deidara descended from the sky, landing gracefully. Kakuzu followed, still grumbling under his breath.
"Wait," Kakuzu said suddenly. "Where's Hidan?"
"Eh? Oh… right," Deidara mumbled sheepishly.
They scanned the surrounding area and eventually found Hidan embedded in a pile of rubble, cursing loudly.
"Damn it! What the hell happened?!" Hidan shouted, pulling himself free.
Deidara grinned. "You missed the fireworks. Too bad for you."
"Fireworks, my ass!" Hidan retorted angrily.
Obito, tired of the commotion, activated his Kamui once more. "We're leaving."
---
The group vanished into swirling space, leaving the battlefield silent once again.
The Six-Tails had been captured, another victory for the Akatsuki.
But for Utakata, the nightmare had only just begun.
