The current Hokage didn't offer a perfunctory solution. Despite the small number of selected ninjas, their strength and specialties were undeniable.

Shimura Danzo glanced over the files, visibly satisfied. Among the group were combat experts, assassins, and specialists: a medical ninja, a sensory ninja, and a sealing ninja. Together, they formed a highly capable team.

"You are the elites of your families. You know why you were chosen. Now put on these clothes and follow me. The village needs you," Danzo commanded, tossing a scroll onto the ground.

From the scroll emerged a pile of mismatched equipment and tattered garments. The ninjas quickly donned their disguises and followed Shimura Danzo into the darkness, vanishing from sight.

Soon, their location was detected through the Hokage Guard's exclusive communication channel. Since the disbandment of the ANBU, this channel had become the sole method for confidential missions authorized by the Hokage.

Shimura Danzo led his team out of the village via the Hokage Guard's channel, heading straight toward the Daimyo's Prefecture.

The Daimyo's Prefecture? What's the plan?

Shinki observed through his puppets, his mind racing.

After the murder incident involving the Uchiha clan, the Hokage had considered reactivating Danzo's operations. Shinki was aware of this but hadn't anticipated such a bold move—selecting a team for Danzo and sending them directly to the Daimyo's Prefecture.

Fortunately, Shinki had puppets stationed even in the Daimyo's Mansion, albeit fewer than in Konoha. While he couldn't monitor the entire Land of Fire, he could keep tabs on key locations.

"Things are getting more interesting," Shinki mused.

Was this an assassination attempt? Danzo might dare, but would the Hokage? Likely not—such an act would ruin his reputation. At most, the Hokage would stir up trouble to remind the Daimyo of Konoha's importance.

The Land of Rain

Meanwhile, Shinki and his team remained in the Rain Country. The continuous rain, so different from Konoha's occasional showers, intrigued Kushina, Uchiha Mikoto, and Hyuga Mehu. They spent their time lying by the window, wrapped in quilts, watching and listening to the rain.

Shinki, however, had no patience for such pastimes. After countless battles in the Rain Country, he loathed the relentless downpour.

The Daimyo's Mansion

Two days after Danzo's departure, Shinki's puppet detected intruders sneaking into the Daimyo's Mansion. Upon closer inspection, they turned out to be the very ninjas selected by the Hokage.

Dressed as rogue and wandering ninjas, their tattered disguises were an attempt to obscure their Konoha origins. Shinki chuckled.

"These people are destined to live in the shadows from now on," he thought.

The bustling city around the Daimyo's Mansion remained vibrant even at night, a sharp contrast to Konoha's more regulated and quieter environment. Yet, the chaos within the Shogun's quarters quickly disrupted the peace.

Shinki's puppets observed as the infiltrators searched for valuables, leaving deliberate clues to simulate a robbery. When discovered, they created havoc, killing the owner of the Shogun's Mansion before escaping with stolen items.

The commotion spiraled. Guards scrambled, and the Daimyo's Mansion fell into chaos. The news of the assassination reached the Daimyo himself, who had been enjoying a lavish evening. Woken abruptly, he cursed the situation. Upon learning of the assassination, the frail Daimyo trembled with fear, nearly losing control of his bladder.
