Naruto: The Realism

Chapter 7: Chapter 6.The Beginning(part 6).

2 Years Later

Two figures could be seen moving at an incredible speed. One with a blade and the other one without it. The blade wielder fainted a kick before spinning and going in for a thrust. The other one seem to anticipate it suddenly turned sideways to avoid the thrust before landing a super fast punch. The blade user avoided it narrowly while making distance. But the relief was temporary as he heard,

Fire style: Phoenix flower jutsu.

Suddenly he saw a lot of flame flowers coming his way. He was going to dodge, but suddenly he sensed his chakra network being invaded. He smirked before saying kai. Suddenly all those flowers seem to turn into shurikens. He effortlessly changed the direction of those shurikens with his sword. Suddenly he sensed his opponent behind. The opponent was going to strike him with Kunai but suddenly something happened.

Fire style: Flame control.

A tremendous amount of hot fire seem to surround the blade wielder completely and the opponent was engulfed in it before vanishing in a poof.

Shanks sealed his sword in the tattoo mark in his left hand before crashing down in the ground and huffing. Man that was good.

"It seems your shadow clones are getting better as well." Akira said before sitting beside him.

Shanks nodded "They are!". He was so proud of his progress. He has natural affinity towards fire and lightning and both are coming great. He was personally training with fire nature while his 3 clones were learning lightning nature. His fire control was coming excellent. He could make fire bend at his will. Similar can't be said with lightning. But it was coming great as well. Another 2 years and that will become his second nature as well. Also he has improved in Genjutsu and Sealing arts as well. The technique he created with sealing arts and fire nature was a sight to behold. But unfortunately he can only use it when his life is on the line as it is too risky. It was a strict order from sensei. After all one part of the forest is completely gone because of it. Doesn't matter, he is getting stronger, he can feel it. And that is what matters the most.

"But don't get complacent. The journey is just starting. There is much to accomplish. Even though you have learned the basics of sealing arts you have a long long way before you can be a master of it. So don't slack off. Understood?"

Shanks nodded. He understood. Even though hearing this all the time from his sensei is quite demotivating but he knows it's for the better. He is no way near where he wants to be. Considering the monsters that are waiting for him in the future, he is still a little baby mongoose. So slacking off is the last thing he will do.

"Good. Now get your ass up and come with me. We will start next level of sealing training ."

"Sensei?"

"Hmm?"

"You know sometimes I want to murder you?"

"Sure. Not that you can."

sigh "Annoying"

"What was that?"

"Nothing. Nothing at all."

"Good, now bring your lousy ass here."

"Hai".

Namikaze household

"Fast Erina chan! Your opponent will eat you alive if this is your top speed!" said Kushina while parrying her daughter's punches effortlessly.

Tch.. Is this the best I could do? I have been training for so long, yet Mom is making a living fool out of me. The hell..

Suddenly Erina spinned back and put as much chakra in her toes as possible. But before she could do anything, Kushina caught her feet from under ground and pulled her inside before sitting in top of her head. Earth style: Headhunter jutsu. Kushina said smiling.

"H-How?" Erina was surprised. She did not even see her mother weaving hand signs. Is this what it means to be a master. Performing everything so effortlessly? How much do I have to train before I could do that? If she was surprised at first, now she was disappointed, defeated.

Kushina looked worriedly at her daughter. She knew her inner turmoil. Constantly being compared to her father, whom she adored so much could really be draining at times. It's not easy to be Minato. Erina was riddiculously talented, no doubt. But master Jiraya's words came to her mind, Minato is a once in a generation prodigy. There will never be another one like him. Kushina sighed before helping her daughter up.

"Erina Chan, you don't need to push yourself so hard you know! You will eventually become a great kunoichi. It's just that I have much more experience than you. That counts you know. Experience makes all the difference.

"Experience?" Erina muttered slowly

Kushina seem to hear this said "Yes experience. Do you think you were not fast enough? You were incredibly fast for your age but the reason I said it was to make you insecure. That's mental games you know. You will eventually learn it."

Erina was taken aback. Mental games. So that was it huh?

She smiled. It seems to have taken a weight down from her shoulder.

" I am sorry Mom."

Kushina smiled and kissed her cheek before saying

"There is nothing to be sorry about dear. You have learned a new lesson and that is more than enough. Now why don't you freshen up and then we go to Ichiraku's . Your brother seem to have gone there."

"Gone there? Is that suppose to be a revelation. He could put a tent there and sleep and I wouldn't be surprised." Erina said irritated.

"Hahaha, You are just like your father was when he was young. He too hated ramen but now? He is a prime customer there as well you know. So it's a matter of time for you as well.

"I don't think so",Erina declared proudly.

Kushina narrowed her eyes and said" Bet?"

"Bet".
