Naruto: The Realism

Chapter 6: Chapter 5. The Beginning (part 5).

Wake up, do physical workouts, practice taijutsu katas, practice kenjutsu, spar with Akira, meditate, go to academy, come from academy, again mediate then sleep, then wake up and repeat the same. This was his routine for last couple of months. Academy so to say has been a big disappointment for him. He for sure knows that academies from other villages are definitely much stricter. How come Konoha always beat them is beyond his knowledge. Moreover the clan heirs were absolute rubbish. They had so many resources to learn from but they are more focused on taking naps, eating, or just goofing around. The Hokage's son has been quite a disappointment. He was an absolute moron. Basic things seems to go over his head. There were two Uchihas in his class as well. Sasuke and Yami. They are at least a little better. Not that it matters anyway. They were still far below him. But as soon as they awaken Sharingan they must become quite formidable. Hokage's daughter has been a revelation to him. She was quite good. She was calm unlike her brother and mostly skillful. The other girls seems more interested in choosing their future husbands rather than becoming a shinobi. A drop of sweat fell down from his forehead as he was meditating. Finally.. Shanks opened his eyes and sat there for a couple of seconds smiling. Suddenly a voice from behind spoke,

"It seems you have finally mastered it. Judging by your calm presence I believe you were able to spread your chakra at every nodes of your body?"

Shanks nodded. It was surreal. He felt so damn calm. The world seems to be a little different. Chakra is amazing and really scary. Why do you ask? Because if he were distracted even for a second his entire network could have been destroyed. There was a reason he was meditating a lot and didn't dive right into learning Ninjutsu. He wanted to become a master of his craft. He wanted to learn the ins and outs of everything. So he can be even more efficient in his future battles. Now that the first task is complete it is about time he starts learning ninjutsu.

"Good. Now we shall begin your ninjutsu training. But before that we need to learn your chakra nature.". Akira then took out a paper from his pocket.

"Just stream your chakra into this paper", Akira said while handing him the paper.

Shanks took it and did just that and suddenly something happened that shook Akira to his core. One part of the paper burned and turned to ash, one wrinkled and another one split into two.

"Th-Three Chakra natures? Thats unheard of!" Akira said in disbelieve.

"I-Is there any problem sensei?", asked Shanks hesitantly. He was feeling a little scared seeing how his sensei reacted.

Akira understanding the situation took a deep breath and cleared his throat before continuing,

"N-No there is no problem. Infact you are quite lucky. Having three chakra signatures is extremely rare."

If Shanks was scared before, now he was excited. He asked " Three chakra natures?"

"Yes Three. Fire, Lightning and Wind. Judging by the looks of it you will be naturally talented in fire and lightning. Wind will be a little difficult to master, but don't worry about it. You have wind affinity as well so you will eventually master that as well. It's just that it will take a little more time than the other two."

"Um- Sensei can i ask a question? Shanks said hesitantly.

"Go ahead"

"Can I master all 5 Chakra natures?"

Akira's eyes narrowed. Again that thing Ambition. He knew it from the very first day. Nothing but absolute perfection will satisfy his protege and he was all for it. He smiled before replying

"Why not? Infact I will expect nothing less from my student. But we have to be clever here. We will start with fire since I also happen to be a master of this element. Other two you have to develop by yourself. I will give you scrolls and pointers, but how far you can go it's up to you.

Shanks nodded excitedly. Yes he will master all 5 elements. But first he will master the three he has affinity for.

"But remember one thing, mastering elemental nature is not just simply knowing few jutsus. Those who abide by that logic are nothing but absolute morons. A true master of an element can use that nature like it's his second nature. No hand signs, nothing. He thinks of something and that happens. Those who are able to do that can truly be called masters. And throughout the history they can be counted on one hand"

Shanks understood. He knew what his sensei meant. He will achieve that and nothing is going to stop him. He will die trying if he had to. But he will make it a reality.

Akira looked at him proudly. The mere mention of mastering all chakra natures was enough for him to be proud. Hardly any shinobi tries to do that. They learn some jutsu and consider themselves master not knowing what it actually takes to become one.

"Alright we will start with fire nature and gradually go towards other natures. Now an important thing, take it to your heart. Do not show others what you are capable of unless absolutely necessary. You will master the chakra natures secretely. A ninja should always have his/her power hidden. "

"But what if I genuinely come against an opponent that I couldn't beat by just taijutsu and kenjutsu? How will I approach it?"

"We will discuss all of that. Now buckle up because the training you will go through will make previous training look like child's play." said Akira with a sinister grin.

Shanks sweat dropped. I am so finished and if I am not he will make sure I am. Shanks sighed "No pain no gain I guess".

"Hmm did you say something boy?"

"Nothing sensei, nothing at all."

Akira nodded" Good. Let's start then. Oh and by the way we will also be starting another art along with this. The art that is your birth right."

Shanks was confused Another art? birth right? Shanks eyes wide opened before he understood what it meant.

Akira smirked before saying" The time has come for you to learn Sealing arts."
